In the 90's we liked St. Albert because it didn't have so much commercial traffic and houses were affordable. We liked all the big stores in Edmonton and it was a short trip. Now the big stores are in St Albert which made it crowded, expensive and takes for every to get around. My mother was mugged and her purse stolen on a trail near St Albert center. I know people that have had cars broken into and windows smashed. People in St Albert just don't report crimes like they use to. St Albert is just a small Edmonton that is more expensive.

Edmonton city council don’t even live in Edmonton, they live in St. Albert and Sherwood park

This is a great point! Lots of Edmonton’s law enforcement personnel also live in St. Albert.

There are plenty of those here! And its pretty rare to see them come to the market but when they do they are gone very quick! If you'd like some help with finding the right one, feel free to reach out :)

What's the average price for 3bhk detached house there? And what about job market?

I'm in Brampton... And hating it every way 😢

Average is about $530,000. You can find a good 3 bedroom detached home for 450k and under.
As for the job market, one of the best things about St. Albert is that its connected to Edmonton so you get the advantage of being exposed to the job market of Alberta's capital city. We sit at around 6% unemployment which is right around the national average.

Whats it like for the LGBT community? Is it safe/accepting?

Great question, the answer is yes! The crosswalk at the government building downtown is a big pride flag painted on the road 👍
