With this one Gibson USA has a winer. Looks like Custom Shop and so versatile for that price. It is a great studio guitar. For sure it is a awesome choice fir a gigging musican that needs to have all those sounds in one guitar.
From the demo all the split combinations sound much the same. Not to detract from what is an amazing sounding guitar though. Burstbuckers get no love/respect as great pickups. In the right (intended) combinations (1, 2/3) they work really well.
@@cgavin1 agreed! The versatility is cool, but I don’t see myself saying “oh my god, all 3 pickups but with the neck pickup split! The tone I’ve chased all my life”’! I think Burstbuckers are more airy and bright then 57 classics and work really well in this SG
Wow! What a sound 👍🏻👍🏻 Had an Epiphone SG and found the weight distribution really odd (i.e. all in the neck). Is that still the same on the Gibsons? Haven't heard many complaints.
Thanks Doug! Yeah, SG's tend to do that. This one is pretty okay, I think it's because of the weight from the tailpiece. But the weight distribution is a thing with all SG's, especially when the body is made from a lightweight piece of wood. - Sasha

I haven't seen an uglier SG yet. It is absolutely incomprehensible to me how Gibson does not offer an Angus Young Signature model shortly after the release of a new ACDC album. I don't know Kirk Douglas and this ignorance of customer requests is remarkable. Nothing will change in my opinion if this guitar is now sent free of charge to all influencers so that they can say how great the guitar is.

If I’m doing my math right, and I might not be, there are 26 possible tones from the different pickup combinations!

Some people move the guitar stud from the neck to the upper horn for better balance.
