When you hit post game the first time and have set up your portcrystals throughout Gransys, do ALL the Pawn Guild basement quests that involve finding and collecting the badges of vows. You get 1200 Rc per badge and you keep the badge into NG + which allows you to use the badgez youve already collected to gain the rewards again instantly. Thats rough 120000 Rc per NG cycle that pretty much gets handed to you for free after the first time gathering them.
The thing I liked about dark souls was u could wear any armor you want and pick any weapon you want and make it good, if a shit weapon looked cool then you could just upgrade it and make it good
Well, depositing all of your materials at the inn is a nice tip but there's a small drawback. Quest items in the material section of your inventory needs to be there, otherwise the quest giver like the lady who asked for medicinal plants will still be waiting for it. For a moment I thought even quest items deposited at the inn were read by the quest giver.
@LmeLover: what are you talking about? The stat growth best affects that class that is being used; ie, want to be a sorcerer, the sorcerer vocation gives the best stat growth for that build. Only exception is in the augments (playing warrior solely for clout), but it's set up that way to inspire & reward variety. Unless, for example, you're just playing red vocations to buff your HP, but that's on you, not the game.
I'd say the third tier of your pawns inclinations is also important. (that's the one you can switch with the 2nd tier on a knowledge chair). So I have my Strider pawn as: 1. Challenger(picks out the magicians first); 2. Scather (attacks strongest) or Mitigator( attacks weakest enemies first) and 3. Utilitarian (uses items and does Mob control). Works beautifully.
My only issue is the fact that while you can change vocations, you have to micromanage when you do so if you want to play them all. I wish your stats would change along with your vocation, so the sort of thing didn't have to be worried about. Especially since the game only gives you one save file.
Easiest is probably to make sure you do your level ups as strider, which has the most balanced stat growth. I think Capcom didn't really thought about that being new to this type of genre, hopefully they can improve on that if they ever make a sequel or a similar title.
equipment is what matters most you can level 200 times as a assasin and still play a sorcerer given you have bbi lvl 3 equipment especially on your first playtrought dont bother trying to min max it really doesnt matter much

well this game is really great! It's my favourite RPG when we talk about combat systems, and customization. And Bitter Black Island is an Evil and fun place to grind. But the history is really really crap... the Npcs are boring ( I do better on the RPG maker vx ace :p) the quests are stupid, dialogs are bad, voice acting (in English) is a joke... Can you Imagine this game with the immersion power of Skyrim?

But yeah, the implementation and execution of these elements were pretty bad. Apparently the story is better explored/elaborated upon on the official site, but I personally never bothered to look...

That's the thing I hate about the stat growth in this game, you play the whole game as a class you don't want to play just to have the best of the class you want to play.

I've been searching youtube for an answer to that question about whether or buying each "star" in the upgrade system or just going out and getting the material or item required for the 3 star upgrade will make any difference in the stats of the armor piece/weapon to be upgraded. For example, "if i purchased each upgrade separately, would it make the stats of the weapon/armor piece any higher than just purchasing the 3 star upgrade?" That question. William Moore I'm a bit late to the response, but the answer to your question is no, skipping an upgrade level and purchasing the third will not make any difference in the stats of your weapons or armor. You can test this out yourself by modifying a piece of equipment step-by-step, and then modify another copy of it by skipping the one and two star upgrades.
Ag ok no problem. I'm just glad to get a response. I hadn't been playing it for a while anyway. A couple more questions for you, if you don't mind. My router sucks, and the most recent game platform I own is PS3. My router sucks. It drops my signal and I either have to cut off my machine, and cut it back on to log back in or cut the router off and cut it back on. So what I'm trying to figure out is what happens if I'm in the middle of a battle with a dragon or some other online battle and I lose my signal? Does it crash my game file, just make me have to load from the previous save, or does it not affect the file at all after I've loaded it? And what could cause my signal to fail like that? Almost as soon as I turn the machine on, it says something like "login error" or "connection error". I can't remember the exact words, but it's something like that. I really wanted to play online and get better pawns, rift crystals, and gear. It's kind of hard to do that offline. Thanks again.
When your router craps out as you're playing the game's online or offline features, it will not crash. The game will ask you if you wish to sign back on once you rest to set up a checkpoint save. If you're running your router off a modem, I would check Best Buy for a stronger router. My router is Belkin. I would get the N model, which has a stronger signal.
It's very likely. So you have a modem and router in one unit? If you have Comcast or AT&T, you should be able to request one through them at one of their stores. Oh yeah, what is your user ID? Mine is: AgNinja.
Btw with stat gains and leveling it really doesn't matter too much unless you exclusively play only 1 class between levels 1-101, this is because stat gains are really only a very small part of your chacter in comparison to your gear and skills and more often than not you won't even be using half your stats. For a guaranteed good chacter by endgame that can play every class effectively just play each vocation for 11 levels swapping every 11 levels ensure even stat growth and also introduces you to them in a very natural way. Besides your going to want to level them all eventually for the shared skills. Tldr dont sweat the leveling deets too much your gear is what matters.
I started as assassin 1-20 , then I was powerful mage , then switched back for little while , after that was a mystic knight . Now I am worrior , might not be optimal but I think it can be done .
bro you cant start as an assassin thats a hybrid vocation you cant get that until bitterblack isle or gran soren and to get into bitterblack isle you have to be around level 5

i started my first 10 levels as a ranger and then swithed to my fav class in the game the magic archer and i never changed it now i am a level 200 magic archer killing the bbi boss AKA daimon in 6shots my point is you dont need a build
yeah but try playing as a warrior for 200 levels and then switching to sorcerer you dumbass... ofc you don't need a special build if you are gonna stay the same class, but if you wanna switch around then you do.

Casey Wayne get to bbi asap, small character, no pawns, no changing vocations to get all the skills/augments (if you start as strider, you can only pick ranger or assassin as your next voc), don't leave bbi til you complete it. Something like that.
So they shipped the PC release and it is very good. But by default you receive totally overpowered gear at lvl 2 which destroys any feeling of progression in the game. I found myself getting bored until I re-rolled, deleted the free gear, didn't farm Bitterblack isle for easy items and experienced the base game as the dev's meant it to be played. Even using other peoples pawns who are equipped with the 'free starter loot' makes the game a lot easier then it is meant to be.

+MixatoFreeKill on the PC version, as long as you are playing with the mouse and keyboard it IS possible to map a limited amount of items to buttons, this is however not possible when using the controller
try going to a inn and learn skills and upgrades from there the upgrades and skills quality will vary on your class rank for you character the higher the rank the more stuf you can learned if your having trouble with this game friend me and you can summon my pawn for free hes very usefull hes in lvl 30's psn MlgDeathGamer ill even hire your pawn and give lvl 30 equipment of course you probably already got it but i provide the character with some rares i find on my journey (if isnt my class type to use) ill only give your character stuff thats powerfuller hiring my pawn or someones else s pawns the pawn will have quest knowledge to ocassionaly help with quest your on if the pawn has been through the entire quest so if your stuck ask a support pawn thier creators might have done the quest and they will remember tips sorry that this is long If your friend me send me a codename "BooperDooper"(Send that code name in the friend request) im playing this game aswell and its a good game and i like helping fairly new people so ya

I have the Dragon's Dogma - Dark Arisen game on ps3, and it is listed to have all the dlc for weapons and armor, i go to the black cat, and he has them all for sale, but in the info for the dlc, it says you are given each of the costumes/weapons/ and armor for free and that they are in my item storage, but when i check my item storage, nothing is in there that i didn't already put in there. so where is my free items?

che result of che cursed items are pretermined by the seed of hour save file, jowever you Can manipulate them (armor and weapons) changin your vocation and the pawn vocation, for example: cursed item level 3 it's giving me something that i don't need? change the voc to warrior (even the pawn!) and you will get surely get an item for that specifi voc.
Mark021997 as i said, it doesn't matter about the vocation, change whatever i want, it gives what i DONT want, i want swords, it gives me giant swords and axes, i want bows, it give me long bows and daggers
+medo sam the thing of this trick is basically, knowing what are you gonna get from that cursed item, you change voc to maybe get a good item for another voc thats all
Hope you learn it already. You buy augments with discipline points you earn. Each vocation has different augs. Just play each one and kill small creatures to increase your vocation rank to 9. Then you can buy all the augments from each vocation.
Cold: コールド if you haven't found out already they are secret augments that are not vocation based and can be found around the world but I think only in Bitter Black Isle novelties
I love this game and hiring pawn, but to be honest i hate the fact almost all (beside one once in a while) have the sames voices, they all have one of the two basic voice, sometime i can hear a rare one, still i hate having two girl pawn whit the same voice. At least mine got a nice one. Anyway started as a Mage (Up to 20), tried a bit of all class (up to 50) and now im mainly Magic knight and Mage, and i like it :D.

Unless you are going for absolute min-maxing it's quite difficult to mess up stats so much that any class is unplayable. Just play what you find fun, that's what I did and I never had any problems.

The expansion ofc. If you buy it for PC, there's only the Dark Arisen version. Dark Arisen has all the DLCs installed in it, so you don't have to get anything else in the game.
Yes, the full game comes in the Dark Arisen version, with the Bitterblack Isle DLC expansion and also all the armor expansions in it.The only things that are missing are the Swordsman's Armor Set and the White Hawk's Armor set which were taken out due to legal licence expiring I believe. Those 2 armors are from the Berserk manga/anime
I'm only a few levels into the game and i started as a fighter. At level ten i changed to a magic archer and I'm planning on going assassin, then after those ten levels, sorcerer. Will i be able to have three main classes on one character?
Once you reach lvl 10 you can travel to Gran Soren and unlock as many vocations as you can afford with Discipline Points. You can literally play as all classes with a single character but as stated in the video that wouldn't make for very effective leveling. AndroxineVortex NP The game gives you a few ways to balance and build your character so you won't be penalized that much. Through skill, gear and pawn choices you can still optimize your character for whatever vocation you're playing at the moment.
GREAT TIPS!! But I really do not get why many people comparing this game to dark souls at all. This game is not difficult nor does it require you to have skills. Its all about gear. Nothing more. You having problems to progress through some location? Get better gear or Enhance your old one. Due to the dmg and defense being calculated in this game is fuckin stupid there is no need for skill only gear. As again nice vid.
You have clearly not played Hard Mode. I agree Dragons Dogma does not take as much skill as Dark Souls; however, on Hard Mode the early game is way harder than Dark Souls in my opinion (the first 10-15 hours everything will 1 shot you and I do mean everything). I have played Darks Souls 1, 2 & 3 as well as Blood borne. Trust me, if you like Dark Souls try Dragons Dogma on Hard Mode. It does make the game have a Dark Souls feel to it.
About Dark Souls at least you have to learn something. I am not defending DS but you have to time at least your roll or know where to strike or where to use estus. In dragons dogma there is nothing like that. Your entire experience is measured by how much defense you have and your opponent does not so he deals no dmg to you. Your healing items weight shit and its cheap. You can easily have 200 of them and there is no risk of healing yourself. You just pause the game navigate the shitty menu and pop 7 grass into your mouth and you can swing blindly again thats not fun thats fucking tedious and boring. Well I usually play everything on hard, first I played on normal because there was no option for hard. When I load the game again the other day there was hard mode so i play it. I get to a level 15 everything still one shots me even though I have 200000 gold with upgraded gear and some of the gear is from dlc so it should be strong. I was around the mission with the hydra head for the baron I get to the city with hydra head. And if there is anything that can onehit you without proper reason or any possible deffense I call that bullshit not a hard game. :) Mobs now dont one hit at least the thrash one does not but I dont know what to do now. Notice board quest are fucking lame, voiceacting is great but lip syncing is none. Sidequest are forgetable and I kinda dont care about the story either. Well at least this game have a story not like Dark Souls xD I really wanted to love Dragon Dogma but there is so many fucking bulshit things I cant just get around that. Same as the Witcher 3 average game with great story, voice acting, character details, but fuck that god damn horse to a fucking oblivion xD fuck the skill system which is only some number generator of percentage, fuck the walking animation, fuck the lame city quest in whole Novigrad because quest in Cities are fucking lame when you've got wilderness with such a great depth fuck the slow leveling process, fuck the single music that playes always when you get to the battle, fuck the sidequest with great stories of citizens but with a reward 100 expirience and 25 crowns, fuck the shitty looking armor sets that has probably been done by a faggy french, fuck the same character models and sigle character model for a child. I dont know I am probably getting slowly tired of video games when you played them for over 14 years everyday. And you are starting to see how they fuck with you as a costumer :-)

I only am disappointed with one thing: you say that DD has bad lip sync, and that's true. But at least, unlike fucking Soulsborne series (which i like too), they TRY to lip sync. Goddamn i can't stand that "Talk with mouth closed" shit, i really hate that, it's a clear sign of laziness from the developers in my own opinion. I mean, fucking hell you have awesome fights and characters/creatures but for 5 GAMES (Demons Souls, Dark Souls 1 2 3, Bloodborne) you don't lip sync? I seriously hope it's a graphic engine related problem, because if not they are inexcusable from that point. Just my little rant.

That's the thing I hate about the stat growth in this game, you play the whole game as a class you don't want to play just to have the best of the class you want to play.

THANK YOU. That was probably the best ~5:00 I've ever spent on TH-cam, and that's saying a lot, considering skyrim is, and probably will be my #1 game by far for a long time to come. You sure packed a lot into that 5 minutes. I particularly appreciate how you explained the weapon/armor upgrade or "ratify" process. I've been searching youtube for an answer to that question about whether or buying each "star" in the upgrade system or just going out and getting the material or item required for the 3 star upgrade will make any difference in the stats of the armor piece/weapon to be upgraded. For example, "if i purchased each upgrade separately, would it make the stats of the weapon/armor piece any higher than just purchasing the 3 star upgrade?" That question. Again, thanks a billion!!!!!!!!!! Btw you just earned yourself a subscriber.
William Moore I'm a bit late to the response, but the answer to your question is no, skipping an upgrade level and purchasing the third will not make any difference in the stats of your weapons or armor. You can test this out yourself by modifying a piece of equipment step-by-step, and then modify another copy of it by skipping the one and two star upgrades.
Ag ok no problem. I'm just glad to get a response. I hadn't been playing it for a while anyway. A couple more questions for you, if you don't mind. My router sucks, and the most recent game platform I own is PS3. My router sucks. It drops my signal and I either have to cut off my machine, and cut it back on to log back in or cut the router off and cut it back on. So what I'm trying to figure out is what happens if I'm in the middle of a battle with a dragon or some other online battle and I lose my signal? Does it crash my game file, just make me have to load from the previous save, or does it not affect the file at all after I've loaded it? And what could cause my signal to fail like that? Almost as soon as I turn the machine on, it says something like "login error" or "connection error". I can't remember the exact words, but it's something like that. I really wanted to play online and get better pawns, rift crystals, and gear. It's kind of hard to do that offline. Thanks again.
When your router craps out as you're playing the game's online or offline features, it will not crash. The game will ask you if you wish to sign back on once you rest to set up a checkpoint save. If you're running your router off a modem, I would check Best Buy for a stronger router. My router is Belkin. I would get the N model, which has a stronger signal.

It's very likely. So you have a modem and router in one unit? If you have Comcast or AT&T, you should be able to request one through them at one of their stores. Oh yeah, what is your user ID? Mine is: AgNinja.
Btw with stat gains and leveling it really doesn't matter too much unless you exclusively play only 1 class between levels 1-101, this is because stat gains are really only a very small part of your chacter in comparison to your gear and skills and more often than not you won't even be using half your stats.
For a guaranteed good chacter by endgame that can play every class effectively just play each vocation for 11 levels swapping every 11 levels ensure even stat growth and also introduces you to them in a very natural way. Besides your going to want to level them all eventually for the shared skills.
Tldr dont sweat the leveling deets too much your gear is what matters.

bro you cant start as an assassin thats a hybrid vocation you cant get that until bitterblack isle or gran soren and to get into bitterblack isle you have to be around level 5

yeah but try playing as a warrior for 200 levels and then switching to sorcerer you dumbass... ofc you don't need a special build if you are gonna stay the same class, but if you wanna switch around then you do.

Depends what your vocation is, what gear you have and where you go at the beginning as well as what level you're entering places at.
Are you on hard mode?

Casey Wayne get to bbi asap, small character, no pawns, no changing vocations to get all the skills/augments (if you start as strider, you can only pick ranger or assassin as your next voc), don't leave bbi til you complete it.

So they shipped the PC release and it is very good. But by default you receive totally overpowered gear at lvl 2 which destroys any feeling of progression in the game. I found myself getting bored until I re-rolled, deleted the free gear, didn't farm Bitterblack isle for easy items and experienced the base game as the dev's meant it to be played. Even using other peoples pawns who are equipped with the 'free starter loot' makes the game a lot easier then it is meant to be.

try going to a inn and learn skills and upgrades from there the upgrades and skills quality will vary on your class rank for you character the higher the rank the more stuf you can learned if your having trouble with this game friend me and you can summon my pawn for free hes very usefull hes in lvl 30's psn MlgDeathGamer ill even hire your pawn and give lvl 30 equipment of course you probably already got it but i provide the character with some rares i find on my journey (if isnt my class type to use) ill only give your character stuff thats powerfuller hiring my pawn or someones else s pawns the pawn will have quest knowledge to ocassionaly help with quest your on if the pawn has been through the entire quest so if your stuck ask a support pawn thier creators might have done the quest and they will remember tips sorry that this is long If your friend me send me a codename "BooperDooper"(Send that code name in the friend request) im playing this game aswell and its a good game and i like helping fairly new people so ya

I have the Dragon's Dogma - Dark Arisen game on ps3, and it is listed to have all the dlc for weapons and armor, i go to the black cat, and he has them all for sale, but in the info for the dlc, it says you are given each of the costumes/weapons/ and armor for free and that they are in my item storage, but when i check my item storage, nothing is in there that i didn't already put in there. so where is my free items?

che result of che cursed items are pretermined by the seed of hour save file, jowever you Can manipulate them (armor and weapons) changin your vocation and the pawn vocation, for example: cursed item level 3 it's giving me something that i don't need? change the voc to warrior (even the pawn!) and you will get surely get an item for that specifi voc.

The stats are more or less a lie. You can level as any build to max and still play the others on par.
No one has answered me this yet, how do you go about earning augments in this game? New player, and didn’t know about those until recently.
Hope you learn it already. You buy augments with discipline points you earn. Each vocation has different augs. Just play each one and kill small creatures to increase your vocation rank to 9. Then you can buy all the augments from each vocation.

I love this game and hiring pawn, but to be honest i hate the fact almost all (beside one once in a while) have the sames voices, they all have one of the two basic voice, sometime i can hear a rare one, still i hate having two girl pawn whit the same voice. At least mine got a nice one.
Anyway started as a Mage (Up to 20), tried a bit of all class (up to 50) and now im mainly Magic knight and Mage, and i like it :D.
was thinking,i was building an magick archer,and gained some levels and skills on the mage and sorcerer skill,would i be in a bad level up stats if i get some levels on magick knight too?
Unless you are going for absolute min-maxing it's quite difficult to mess up stats so much that any class is unplayable. Just play what you find fun, that's what I did and I never had any problems.

The expansion ofc. If you buy it for PC, there's only the Dark Arisen version. Dark Arisen has all the DLCs installed in it, so you don't have to get anything else in the game.

Yes, the full game comes in the Dark Arisen version, with the Bitterblack Isle DLC expansion and also all the armor expansions in it.The only things that are missing are the Swordsman's Armor Set and the White Hawk's Armor set which were taken out due to legal licence expiring I believe. Those 2 armors are from the Berserk manga/anime

I'm only a few levels into the game and i started as a fighter. At level ten i changed to a magic archer and I'm planning on going assassin, then after those ten levels, sorcerer. Will i be able to have three main classes on one character?
Once you reach lvl 10 you can travel to Gran Soren and unlock as many vocations as you can afford with Discipline Points. You can literally play as all classes with a single character but as stated in the video that wouldn't make for very effective leveling. AndroxineVortex NP The game gives you a few ways to balance and build your character so you won't be penalized that much. Through skill, gear and pawn choices you can still optimize your character for whatever vocation you're playing at the moment.
GREAT TIPS!! But I really do not get why many people comparing this game to dark souls at all. This game is not difficult nor does it require you to have skills. Its all about gear. Nothing more. You having problems to progress through some location? Get better gear or Enhance your old one. Due to the dmg and defense being calculated in this game is fuckin stupid there is no need for skill only gear. As again nice vid.

You have clearly not played Hard Mode. I agree Dragons Dogma does not take as much skill as Dark Souls; however, on Hard Mode the early game is way harder than Dark Souls in my opinion (the first 10-15 hours everything will 1 shot you and I do mean everything). I have played Darks Souls 1, 2 & 3 as well as Blood borne. Trust me, if you like Dark Souls try Dragons Dogma on Hard Mode. It does make the game have a Dark Souls feel to it.
About Dark Souls at least you have to learn something. I am not defending DS but you have to time at least your roll or know where to strike or where to use estus. In dragons dogma there is nothing like that. Your entire experience is measured by how much defense you have and your opponent does not so he deals no dmg to you. Your healing items weight shit and its cheap. You can easily have 200 of them and there is no risk of healing yourself. You just pause the game navigate the shitty menu and pop 7 grass into your mouth and you can swing blindly again thats not fun thats fucking tedious and boring.
Well I usually play everything on hard, first I played on normal because there was no option for hard. When I load the game again the other day there was hard mode so i play it. I get to a level 15 everything still one shots me even though I have 200000 gold with upgraded gear and some of the gear is from dlc so it should be strong. I was around the mission with the hydra head for the baron I get to the city with hydra head. And if there is anything that can onehit you without proper reason or any possible deffense I call that bullshit not a hard game. :) Mobs now dont one hit at least the thrash one does not but I dont know what to do now. Notice board quest are fucking lame, voiceacting is great but lip syncing is none. Sidequest are forgetable and I kinda dont care about the story either. Well at least this game have a story not like Dark Souls xD I really wanted to love Dragon Dogma but there is so many fucking bulshit things I cant just get around that. Same as the Witcher 3 average game with great story, voice acting, character details, but fuck that god damn horse to a fucking oblivion xD fuck the skill system which is only some number generator of percentage, fuck the walking animation, fuck the lame city quest in whole Novigrad because quest in Cities are fucking lame when you've got wilderness with such a great depth fuck the slow leveling process, fuck the single music that playes always when you get to the battle, fuck the sidequest with great stories of citizens but with a reward 100 expirience and 25 crowns, fuck the shitty looking armor sets that has probably been done by a faggy french, fuck the same character models and sigle character model for a child. I dont know I am probably getting slowly tired of video games when you played them for over 14 years everyday. And you are starting to see how they fuck with you as a costumer :-)
Budliky CZ I agree with everything you said, The Witcher 3 expecially (i like that game but really, FUCK all those things you listed). I only am disappointed with one thing: you say that DD has bad lip sync, and that's true. But at least, unlike fucking Soulsborne series (which i like too), they TRY to lip sync. Goddamn i can't stand that "Talk with mouth closed" shit, i really hate that, it's a clear sign of laziness from the developers in my own opinion. I mean, fucking hell you have awesome fights and characters/creatures but for 5 GAMES (Demons Souls, Dark Souls 1 2 3, Bloodborne) you don't lip sync? I seriously hope it's a graphic engine related problem, because if not they are inexcusable from that point. Just my little rant.

But kill four bosses firekeepers or whatever thats not a story but an objective xD I still play those games but for fun.
