I'm new to bowling and just bought my first ball, the Hazmat. I'm just starting to learn more about layouts and such, and I noticed that my pro shop drilled my ring finger directly into the pin. And everyone is always only talking about pin up or pin down. So why did they drill it directly into the pin, and what does that do for me?
Love this comp.! I was thinking Ethos was going to fill this spot but then here comes Hammer with another banger! I would go as far as to say that the Hazmat is the Sym ver. of the 2.0Hy.
Really liked this video. I just wish I could pull the trigger and get both of these balls. I know they are not really what I should be throwing but I really liked black widows ball and should go back to them instead of storm balls but don’t
@@BassRacerx I`m using the 2.0 as well, it just doesnt do it for me. The first 10 games went amazing, but after it just started dropping. Even with gritting, it just doesnt feel right
@BassRacerx I would have to see what your pattern looks like. Equipment made for heavy oil will run out of energy quick if it's on anything but heavy oil. I know some companies state it can be used on "medium to heavy" but that's very dependent on certain factors.
@BrunsNick I am looking to get another ball to build my arsenal possibly a medium smooth or sharp ball. I currently have the black widow hybrid 2.0 and the hammer effect. What would you recommend ? (Should my next ball be a symmetrical one?)
My problem is I have too many hybrids already! My current bag Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid, Kinetic, Cobalt Hybrid, and Defender Solid. I ended up ordering the NU blue just because of your video's and because I need a symmetrical ball in my bag. TBH if this ball was in a pearl it would be in my bag instead of the NU Blue. Mainly because the ball motion of the Hazmat suits my eyes better for the style I like to play.
I have a question, I noticed that you lightly blow into the thumb holes at times. Is there a reason, or just to remove extra powder. Enjoy your videos.
Love your videos but curious about all the rosin you put on your thumb - never seen anyone dig into the rosin bag TWICE before every shot. Is there a reason or is this just a crutch/habit? Thanks
Subbed Great content question? What 3rd ball would you put with black widow ghost 👻 and the NU Blue Hammer Ghost is drilled aggressive. Blue is, of course, drilled like urethane
Kind of depends where you need the help. You could go more aggressive than Ghost with Extreme Envy. Or, could go between Ghost and NU Blue with something like Radioactive/Ocean Vibe.
I have the black widow savage and the 2.0 hybrid. Finding rhe savage to be more agressive which surprised me. Would the hazmat be a good 3rd ball for rhe burnt up 3rd or 4th game conditions or to close to the other 2 ?
This was perfect timing today LOL. I have the Widow and was about to get the Hazmat tomorrow but wasn't totally sold. I am now. 👍👍 Question? The Widow is pin up and my pro guy wants to do the Hazmat pin down. Good idea?
I personally don’t recommend symmetrical balls pin down. If you’re looking to create a little more space between the performance, you can still go pin up with Hazmat, maybe 1/2”-1” further from your PAP. All depends on your layout for BW and PAP. 👍🏻
Nice comparison. Looks like a 1-2 punch. Have to get out there and see those myself. Thanks!
Man Hammer is killin' it!!! Nice Nick thank you.
Love your reviews Nick!

Hard to say, it’s all based on your PAP but there’s no one way or two ways to drill a ball.

Another great video!
BW 2.0 hybrid is 100% my ball of the year and my favorite of the HK22 balls.
Agreed. The GB4 Hybrid for me is a close second. Best one two punch in my bag for both leagues I bowl in.

Cool comparison video! I am still looking for a strong asymm hybrid for the top of the bag. BW 2.0 Hybrid is definitely a front runner.
With all the Widows, I find they always work better from deeper lines. The Black Widow Legend is still king though 😊
Agreed, just shot my new high game with one, a 265
I need to find one again’ the one I had has been in or over 3 years of games, plus the ball over every 100 games.
By black widow 2.0 cant turn the corner from deep it just runs out of energy.

You were really chunking them there at the first. I even noticed before you said something.

Don't go away from the comparisons. Reading your reviews. We all love your comparisons especially when the balls are close to each other
For Angular balls, I prefer/think SYM is smoother than the “snap” feature of ASYM… 🤔
Very similar! Seems to be more of a preference to if you bowl better with asym or sym balls.
I have a question, I noticed that you lightly blow into the thumb holes at times. Is there a reason, or just to remove extra powder. Enjoy your videos.
Moisture to get a little more grip. 👍🏻
How many lb. are you using for this video? Ive been thinking of going down to a 15. So i can increase ball speed when i need to.
15.
Is the hazmat the same as the sealth pearl, they have almost the same numbers
Been looking at getting my first reactive ball. Both of these look very good. What do you recommend for a novice bowler?
Start with Hazmat if it’s between these two. 👍🏻

Reduces my grip pressure, I tend to sweat more during these videos because there is no rest between shots like in league. I use it much less then.
@@brunsnick ahhh, makes sense - thanks for the quick response!

I've had a week of "strange hits" this week. 😂
New to bowling, been using Raw hammer. I want to upgrade, would you recommend one as a higher end benchmark ball or have any other recommendations?
Yes, go with the Black Widow, can't go wrong there.

Maybe a Vibe for the burn would be better. Less flare potential.

You mention not drilling sym vs asym the same, just preference?
Slight tweak in pin distance to give me more length with asym. I’ll go as far as 5.5 pin to pap for tournament bags.
do you use a finger tip grip or conventional grip?
Both.
Anyone else find it funny they have AMF 82-70 machines at the Brunswick facility?
Huh?
Hazmat vs Envy tour Pearl?
Taking some time off from comparisons. But I have to think the Hazmat will be better playing open angles and ETP playing from straighter.
I'm curious about that comparison too. We know ET is slower off the spot vs ETP.
Noice!

@@brunsnick Great, thanks for the quick reply!
how does the hazmat compare to the scorpion sting ?
Looks like its the replacement
Seems a bit stronger
Cool video talk tech bowling bowling ball Brunsnick
Hazmat is a faster black widow. Aka asym gamebreaker
But the hazmat is a sym
Dude whats up with these hits lol
