@saturnsandjupiters358 Had Jet Alone not sperged out the way it did and nearly turn into a walking nuke, funding that would go to NERV would eventually be directed towards designing artificial AT Field tech. That's why Gendo orchestrated JA's failure.
Most underrated episode by a mile.
One of my favorites simply bevause it's a Misato episode
It's ignored because it's basically irrelevant to the rest of the plot, besides showing that Nerv will fuck over anyone to get their way. That said it's a great episode
It’s a rare example of Eva being an actual mecha shounen anime like the original plan was, before Anno and the team decided halfway through to go all-out in the psychological aspect that made the show famous in the end.
@@t65bx25 not really. It was meant to be that psychological stuff in disguise of a mecha anime
@@revilily9922 I mean part of it was always gonna be there, but the original focuses were the anti-escapism and genre deconstruction. They still did manage to communicate the philosophical stuff such as that, but in the end they partly threw it out in favor of just focusing on Shinji's depression. The plot was actually going to be headed somewhere at one point, just check out the proposal you can find online.
Ritskou was instructed to have the robot have a meltdown under orders but didn't go through because obviously Misato is one of few people close to her and maybe also thought without Misato Shinji would quit piloting. This episode says a lot in heinsight of how ruthless SEELE and Nerv are and Ritskou herself. She could've killed Kaji much earlier also.

I don't think they ever planned to let it explode. They just needed people to stop trusting it. Ritsuko said everything went according to plan later.

ha, i was right. From the Mega man legends wiki:
"The sound effects from Mega Man Legends were outsourced to other company. Due to this, most of the game's sound effects can also be heard in other media. The anime Neon Genesis Evangelion contains many examples, such as the sound of the doors in the ruins opening and closing being the same as the door inside Jet Alone".

Me gustaría ver una versión diferente en dónde Jet Alone junto al concepto de los Mechas, terminen por triunfar contra los Eva's y derroten los Ángeles. De esa forma logran evitar el 3°er impacto.
Imaginense que logren crear un "AT Field" 100% artificial y funcional contra los Ángeles.
No tendrían oportunidad alguna contra una extensa variedad de MECHAS, para las diferentes misiones que ocurran.

Si no me equivoco el 7, se llama construido por los hombres. A mi parecer es uno de los mejores capítulos, me hubiese encantado ver al Jet Alone (Reactor solitario) luchar contra algún ángel. Además pudimos observar que era tan fuerte como una unidad evangelion con una capacidad de combate de 150 días cosa que a Gendo y Seele nos les parecía ya que la ONU hubiese descartado a NERV de salvar a la humanidad y la instrumentalización humana no se cumpliría y probablemente hubiese creado muchísimos robots cómo ese.
Además me encanta cuando Hyuga libera al Eva 01 y se ve como cae y corre al lado del avión y como el sol está de fondo mientras persigue al robot
