Having visted and spoken with a lot of displaced home fire victims in the past several years, especially high throughput Lithium batteries used for e-bikes, cars and other forms of transportation have spontaneously caught fire. There are a lot of factors that cause this, but especially while charging. This is the primary reason that any LiON powered device is asked to be in your carry on during flights instead of checked into the Plane's cargo bay so there is time to react and try to mitigate the fire when we see smoke.
Parking lot EV's have caused major fires. Transport vehicle Ships have sank when EV's ignited. EV's are trashed when involved in floods or hurricanes. EV's are much heavier than gas vehicles especially trucks . When they get in an accident there's much more chance of death and injury when they're in a collision.

How are you supposed to know how many amps go to a particular outlet? I have 10, 15 and 20 amp breakers, and I have no idea where the electricity goes to from the box. If there are appliances already on the circuits, does that make a difference? Are all lithium ion batteries equal- in other words, does my DeWalt 18v battery for my drill motor suck as much while charging as an ebike? Do I really have to worry about my toothbrush or my flashlight overtaxing my system?
I bought a timer on Amazon to plug the lithium tool batteries in. I really would like to know if it is safe. What I like about it is it can be set for 3 hours instead of the battery being left to charge for 12 or 24 or more hours. This is the timer. Is it safe to use with tool batteries: BN-LINK 12 Hour Indoor Mechanical Accurate Countdown Timer, 3-Prong Grounded Outlet, 15 Minute Increments, Energy Saving for Kitchen, Phone Charger, Lamps, Holiday Decoration 1875W, 1/2 HP, ETL Listed
It's hilarious how people are so afraid of new technologies! We are surrounded by dangers everywhere. And these batteries are getting better and better with improved technology and most importantly improved quality of battery management systems. I only charge my devices in the living room when I'm awake and present.
Some like lithium are much more dangerous. The fire generates oxygen that's why they can't be put out. Many people have been injured and killed in their car and home.
Hydrogen powered vehicles will be the future....An engineer in the 70's ran his dune buggy with water..aka..H2O as the fuel...his device separated hydrogen from oxygen then combined them to generate combustion. He was poisoned and died...nothing personal..Big Oil didn't want free fuel to ruin their $$$$. TH-cam has his video.

I won't buy an EV or E Bike
There's a huge lithium deposit in North Carolina.Weaponized weather crew flooded the deposit to get rid of the locals.

EV's are useless for my line of work
The Insurance Industry is going to Decline all Property Damage Due to Charging EV's and All other Types.
This is California..
I refuse to buy an EV
Yep,it’s a French scam🤪

All because of Man made climate change 😅
@@Rah2842 Much more $$$ for an EV because they're dangerous.
Unplug your cybertruck
Sounded to me more like the problem is people overloading circuits and using extension cords that are not rated for the job.

Should distinguish li-ion battery from the lifepo4 batteries, litium phosphate, not the lihium cobalt bombs

That is true, everyone needs to be aware and right there, we must all adapt to fighting climate change.😅
Yeah I'll never have a problem like that. Everything is gasoline powered and totally safe.
