If I'm not mistaken, I remember Alyssa buying a car not that long ago, did she end up asking for a job? These thirst traps are crazy about her, have her start being main attraction in videos and your views will skyrocket.
Jake : Thank you sooo much!! 😂😂 Super shitty morning. And your comment just hit me solid. I was dying in my truck. Love ya for it man! You saved my day
It’s not a dealership fault if a customer only has 1500 to buy a running car that isn’t perfect as long as you checked it completely and are honest with them about any issues. I thinks It up to them to keep shopping if they need to. Thank you for the reminder of how this business rolls Flying Wheels.
When you only have 2000 and your car dies, you're done. If you go around shopping for a 50 000 car, then even a 5 000 transmission problem, presumably isn't going to crush you.
I sold my wife's 15 year old RAV4 last year. I'd have been lucky to get $500 trade in and knew it. I had detailed it in spring so I washed it, cleaned the windows and vacuumed it. Put it on Craigslist for $2100 and it sold in full not 24 hours later
I flip cars, but I actually go over and beyond with repairs, and still make a profit. I would much rather sell someone a car that's very safe and reliable, not decently safe. Most sellers don't operate as I do. You're right, there are plenty of people who can't afford a lot for a vehicle. But, those same people can afford to buy my cars for a little more, and have something much better. I can buy a car for $300-$500, and purchase many parts for under $1000 and still make a good profit. I can do a full brake job with pads and rotors for cheap, change out leaky hoses for cheap, change fluids for cheap, plugs and wires for cheap, used tires for cheap, detail for cheap, etc. You're detailing and selling with decently safe repairs (at least you're transparent). I could never do this, don't have the conscious for it. I believe there needs to be a major change in car selling. It's the same crap as many years gone by. I used to work for a recycling yard, buying vehicles. Time and time again, people would buy shit cars from small lots, for more than their worth, they would breakdown a few days later, can't afford to fix, try to sell to our business, and they still owed the dealer money from in-house financing. First of all, I couldn't purchase from them, because they didn't own the car yet. Secondly, the ones that owned the cars outright, many times, I would talk them out of recycling, because frequently the repairs were simple. If these same people would've saved a couple more dollars, and purchased from me, I guarantee they'd be much happier. In short, there needs to be a major change in the industry. A high percentage of dealers out here, are dishonest. I'm not calling you dishonest, appreciate you're transparent.
My first couple vehicles were 150 k, 200k + miles and 18 to 20 years old when I got them. Got them for a few hundred put about $500 work into them to tune them up. Drove each of them 2 to 5 years each just keeping up on oil changes and occasional couple hundred for work to keep them running a few more months reliably. Old vehicles can be a risk but if you know what to look for can save you from paying hundreds a month in car payments plus maintenance.
I spent 2hrs detailing my old car I drove for a year a 1990 Chevrolet Euro with 108k miles for $1,000 I was only the 3rd owner and was a Florida car so it was still solid and I live in Massachusetts.
Please pay this chicks Really good they did a great job on Detailing.. Im a Auto Detailer and Worked at different dealerships.. I learned Most dealerships don't want to Pay the Auto Detailer Prices thats why I left and got my own Clientele instead but thanks for Sharing this Video 👍
The thing that makes me sad when I get a trade at my lot that is trashed like the ones you showed is I know that the car I just sold them is going to end up looking the same way.
If you ever have pet hair spray some fabric softener on it. It gets rid of the static that holds it in. This has saved me probably a year's worth of time lol
Craig you can use a roll of cheap masking tape reverse wrap on your hand, as like lint roller.... or you can just lay down a strip of of tape press down and rip up and just repeat that till its no longer sticky.. way faster, then brush while vacing
All you horndogs commenting on Alyssa are pretty pathetic. How about commenting on the method she actually is using to remove dog hair? I found out that dog hair (don’t know if all dogs, but at least some) has sort of a hook or bend on one end so it can definitely hook into fabric, making it difficult to vacuum or blow out. After seeing this method at 5:48 I immediately went to my garage with a section of rubber hose leftover from the clothes washer I installed in my home a while back. I cut it into 3 sections about 6 inches long, taped all 3 sections together with duct tape, mounted in the vice and hacksawed across one end to make the ends more or less level. I have a sanding wheel mounted on an arbor so I sanded the ends so they were more leveled off. Tested my new hair removal tool on the carpet in my living room. Worked perfectly! I couldn’t believe how much hair came up that I couldn’t even see before! This tool fits my hand fine but I wonder how much faster it might work if I make another one with 6 sections? My point is, maybe three tools - a single, triple and 6-section tool might be the perfect combination for removing hair on various surfaces and crevices and speed up the process quite a bit more. Thanks a lot, Craig (and Alyssa!) for that handy tool!
I think you shampooed (cleaned) the carpets in the cars. I'm not sure if you were doing it. But it's not too difficult to clean the upholestry (cloth even). When you clean electronic things,...it's been said if you spray the rag or paper towels with the cleaner and then wipe the electronic part, you help guarantee that virtually no cleaner can get into the electronic part. Especially important when cleaning the dash and inside the engine compartment. :-)
Usually the buyers bring their own mechanic to the scene or have them do a point inspection with the "AS IS" in the contract. Once it leaves the lot. It's theirs.
@@muskokamike127 That's true. But some customers don't trust the dealers disclosure and would ask for inspection off the premise, unsupervised by you. Can't have that. Like you said, once they sign it it's the buyer's responsibility and they can do whatever they please once it leaves the lot.

True, but calls don't necessarily equate to a buyer. He's just out for a quick buck and to get them off the lot. Low price also means low expectations.

I’m glad I don’t buy cars in payments or finance or dealers. This video can be good for wanna be dealers but a huge ripoff for consumers. Guys, buy your cars cash, private party or go to auctions. There are many ways to to to public auctions or even Copart or IAA. Or ask an honest dealer that you will give them 200 bucks if they take you to an auction and they will do it for 200 or 300 bucks.. but don’t buy from dealers.
If you want to get screwed, yes go to a place where they don't allow you to inspect the car before buying, which is an auction. By inspect I mean having it checked out by a mechanic.
Have you tried using a lilly brush for all those cars with dog hair? I don't know how it would compare to a rubber hose because I've never tried using a rubber hose but the lilly brush works great. Pulls the hair up out of the fabric then you just vacuum it up.
I am going to need to hire some help because i am having a hard time staying focused buying cars because I have to do 100 other things. How much should I pay someone to help out here and there?
Recent subscriber, great vid. Can you ballpark your overhead for staffing? What spooks me is that and insurance premiums. Both are very expensive these days.
Really great video. We buy cars on emotion primarily. Even those chuckle-heads that spend almost a year getting the 'best' deal forgetting about the value of their time. I think that was covered in the millionaire next door book. A few questions. Power washing the front carpet in situ and then vacuuming immediately is ok? And a big question. If the punter brought you the trade in looking like you finished it would you give them a little more cash or still $300? You've mentioned that your cheap car lot is primarily internet based. How expensive/work intensive is that to operate?(the website.) And do you allow test drives considering a few of these cheaper cars don't have the inspection anyways? One final point. Great tip on the dog hair. Agitate first then vacuum/sweep. Now I should just detail that SVTf I got from the impound years ago and send it on down the road. The seats are filthy and split unfortunately.
It's okay to have an old car if you don't have a job. But the jobs I've had, people don't want you to have a car with too many miles on it, because they want to know that you'll be able to make it to the job and not have a vehicle that's going to break down. My dad and my brother and my older sister have gotten new cars after not too many miles. Especially my brother after only 50-60 thousand miles because as you make more and more money. It's not worth your time to have to wait for a vehicle to be in the shop getting repaired. Especially if you making a lot of money, it really isn't. Or depending on how much money you make. My strategy and being poorer was to try to do maintenance that I could myself, keep vehicle detailed and nice (looking like a new vehicle). But this doesn't work when the engine eventually gives out and you need a fair amount of money for a rebuilt engine. Banks don't finance that. But through time,...I've learned that you can wash, wax with dye added, and detail pretty fast (and even clean the engine compartment, carefully). Banks like Bank of America won't finance a vehicle after (it used to be 100,000 miles on it,...and no commercial vehicles.
I love cheap cars and trucks...I pay up to 1500 bucks for my stuff..they can run for ever or crap out the next day...doesn't matter...I can buy a few vehicles compared to my wife's 6500 dollar payment a year....she is paying 6500 bucks for the next 5 years plus all here repairs I'm driving what ever I want and paying way less and making same repairs..breaks or whatever...cheap cars for me....I have 3cars and a motorhome...my wife just has her kia.

A few questions. Power washing the front carpet in situ and then vacuuming immediately is ok?
And a big question. If the punter brought you the trade in looking like you finished it would you give them a little more cash or still $300?
You've mentioned that your cheap car lot is primarily internet based. How expensive/work intensive is that to operate?(the website.)
And do you allow test drives considering a few of these cheaper cars don't have the inspection anyways?
Tank top detailing is the best..☺
I love cheap cars and trucks...I pay up to 1500 bucks for my stuff..they can run for ever or crap out the next day...doesn't matter...I can buy a few vehicles compared to my wife's 6500 dollar payment a year....she is paying 6500 bucks for the next 5 years plus all here repairs I'm driving what ever I want and paying way less and making same repairs..breaks or whatever...cheap cars for me....I have 3cars and a motorhome...my wife just has her kia.
If you want to sell more cars, open a coffee bar so guys can watch while Alyssa is valeting
