Gorgeous, I love the transformation of the transformation! Leaving the raw wood, unstenciled strip on the drawers was absolutely perfect. I personally think it makes the piece! Adding the bar hardware echoes the horizontal stripe. Kudos, Christina!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS !!! I have to say this is "ONE" of my favorites !!! (Although, I LOVE everything you do!) ... You are SO TALENTED! ... THANK YOU! for sharing your beautiful transformations !!! 🥰
Thanks for doing a make over to a make over. It shows that nothing is a mistake and can be changed if you don't like the first one or if your style taste changes. It turned out even more beautiful than the first one. And you make it look so stress free and simple!
Very cool! So much work! I especially loved that you protected yourself in the video! I watch so many videos with furniture artist using very toxic strippers, primers, shellac, bleach with no protection and it makes me so upset. They have no idea what they are doing to their health and their families health all for a beautiful piece of furniture! Thank you for setting a good example to future furniture refurbishers
I used this color in Salem blue on a mahogany dresser 50 years ago tooooo cutesy so I repainted with dark China red and bronzed hardware. Loved the boho look also would be easy to redo when desired 👍🏻
I saw the piece Ashleigh did. It was the first time I had seen bleached wood. So glad you did a piece. I have fallen in love with wood done this way. Thank you.
Really like the look of wood bleaching. Had no idea about it. Yep I'm very green on wood transformations. I actually have a piece I bought about 3 yrs ago that I'm now convinced I can attempt due to your video. Thanks.
Just a possible time saving tip for stripping paint off of furniture for you- i recently have been seeing/watching videos in home DIY emails I receive that Oven Cleaner - yes, oven cleaner - works like magic you have never seen before in stripping paint from wood. I am serious - every video I have watched, I am amazed. I told my mom about it, she is a DIY-er, too, and she tried it, on a small tool box my dad had in the garage and she couldn't believe it! Do a video for your subscribers and show us! Good luck!
I’m gonna do that to my grandpas dresser from the 20s. It was green. I stripped it then chalk painted it white. Should have left it raw but that was in the 90s got to get motivated.
I love antiques, and I cringed when I saw what you had done with the original piece. I didn't think I would like this transition, but I love it! It looks beautiful. Great choice. Thanks for the video.
Oh my goodness girl This is beyond amazing! It is so strange to see it and its original form, then the reimagined painted form and lastly the strip down all detail taken off new natural beautiful white stenciled and amazingly different hardware concluding to a piece that all three do not look like they could ever have looked like the others! Which is to me absolutely amazing hun 😍❣️❣️I would have taken it in either one of the redo ways that you did You are a great person to watch I love how informative you are to everyone out there who might want to try or do some of these things in techniques, and that is the biggest blessing in the world is to help and teach others what you do yourself. So you're just amazing all the way around 🌹❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Beautifully done! It's such a nice all-wood dresser...I'm sure you'll find a buyer pronto! Not meaning to be nit picky here at all, but I noticed in some of the crevices there was still a slight showing of blue paint from when you re-did the piece the first time. I love that you didn't stress over it. You got as much of the paint off as you could and you moved on. That was a valuable piece of the tutorial for me! I tend to be way too anal over such things. Sometimes you have to let it go! In fact, that little bit of blue showing up tells me that this piece had another life and that's perfectly OK! So thank you for showing me that you just "gotta let it go"! Again, beautiful job! I always look forward to your videos!
I love your thoughts. There were a few people who called me lazy and sloppy. 😬 I got off what I could but after two days I was done. I agree with you that is adds to the character and charm of the piece. And blue tones down orange tones in the wood, so it works for me. I think I need to get some chisels to chip paint of of crevices like that next time.
@@ChristinaMuscari I'm saddened that people would call you lazy & sloppy. Seriously, some folks need to tone it down in their replies! But I am grateful to see an experienced furniture artist say it's ok, perfection is not necessarily necessary. I loved the piece when it was blue, but I love it in the newest version as well. Excellent job on both counts! I never knew you could bleach furniture! I loved the video and the fact that this sweet and functional dresser has another life and whole new look about it.
I like the idea of using the wood bleach and the stencil. This project looks great and gives more good ideas for alternatives to painting every piece of wood furniture that comes along. Thanks for the tips. That looked like a lot of work, though!
I very much enjoyed this video, Christina. I'm going to visit Prima to find those stick-and-style stencils...so much easier than having to tape them off. Love it. Keep up the great work; you're a joy to watch! Susie
Love the redo of the redo! I actually liked the way you originally did it, because that's the style I'm more drawn to. But the boho look is so pretty as well.
Love that....just learned about the “gunk” as you referred to it...,I bought oak boards to make shelves in my kitchen....sanded down....put poly on and all these little splinters showed up!? What..,learned about raising the grain! Now I know for next time....your piece looks awesome🙌🏻🌟def want to try the wood bleach and Primary stencils....thank you for sharing😊kim
I was looking for chalk paint makeovers and clicked on one of your videos. Omgoodness I'm in love. I want to be your neighbor. Love your work. Hopefully I can learn to paint furniture. I love furniture (junky) and want to learn to redo. 🙏
I absolutely loved it blue. But Holy crap, you made it even better with the re-do. I was very skeptical about the wood bleach, thinking I'd hate it. Nope. It's gorgeous and makes me want to find a piece in my house to do something like this with. 👍
Great redone. Like you said it can fit more in any home. The blue on it previously was a color that you have to really find a specific place for. Love the bleached affect and how easy to use. You rocked the piece Christina 🤣👍
That stencil is super cute! I always have trouble selling tall dressers for a decent amount 💵 no matter what paint finish. Raw/bleached wood is so hot right now though!
Hi Christine! I love your videos. Can you please add the link to the sander machine that you use. I can't seem to find it on any of your videos. Thank you so much. 😊😘💕
I LOVED the way you had it before, and this is fine too, but the First was my FAVE!!!!
I absolutely love how you transformed the dresser.
Thanks!
Answer to the Oak dresser I have been troubling over for years. Thank you. I really like the second redo
I'm so glad! Thanks.
The wood you left natural on the drawers is what really makes this!
How inspiring! Thanks again for redoing a redo, that gives us encouragement to never give up on a project piece.
You are so welcome!
Talk about a truly flexible piece. Think Scandi or Modern Farmhouse or your Boho. It looks clean simple but substantial. Nice job.
Gorgeous, I love the transformation of the transformation! Leaving the raw wood, unstenciled strip on the drawers was absolutely perfect. I personally think it makes the piece! Adding the bar hardware echoes the horizontal stripe. Kudos, Christina!

OMG! The heat gun is a game changer!
I saw her video too and im dying to bleach the craps out of something! As always, you killed it!!!
Yes! I’m always for re-painting if you need to make it work! Well done! ❤️
Thanks, friend!
You guys have such a beautiful youtube friendship! So supportive!
@@ChristinaMuscari very nice and fresh looking

Love the natural look with stencil!
WOW! I didn’t think I would love how this turned out as much as I did! Gorgeous!
Thank you so much!

Ashleigh's is so beautiful!
@@ChristinaMuscari yes, and it is fun to see two people approach it in two ways. 😊
Woa , how beautiful... so much work but totally worth it for this result!
Yes it was!
I followed your lead and made over a dresser very similar to yours using all the products you suggested.
This has to be the very best makeover I have ever seen! Your work is so inspiring. Thanks.
Wow, thank you!

Update? Such a great transformation! I'd sure scoop it up! 😊
That is a major upgrade! I love it.
What a great idea to have a stencil with a self-sticking back! Otherwise they can be a pain. Really cool make-over!
Great job it was a good idea to use on this dresser. You are very creative young lady.

Thanks so much 😊
Perfect! My subs have been asking about wood bleaching so I'll point them in your direction!!
Great piece. Fixing the drawers was a good idea. But the boho look is so gorgeous. I really like it. Thanks for the makeover!
What a great way to transform an antique into a modern piece of furniture! I loved it!

The dresser turned out awesome!!! I’m glad to hear about a stencil that minimizes bleedthrough without having to use stinky stencil adhesive spray!!
Thanks so much! 😊

This piece turned out so nice...again, Christina!
Looks very nice. The style is so neutral now. Think the drawers replacements was def necessary. Great look!!
Thank you! 😊
I love it, I wasn't sure about the stencil not covering the whole drawer at first, but put together it looks amazing that way !!
Same! My original idea was to stencil the whole drawer, but it worked. Go figure.
