love it, way better looking in n out than the last gen n I owned a last gen. Suzuki deserves way better recognition for successfully put up a brand new design that doesn't hurt the overall brand impression but also elevate it to the next level.
@@dragan3290 OK, maybe I exaggerate. It is small, but maybe that isn’t a problem if boot space doesn’t matter to your son. I have driven the last generation, the main problem I had was the clutch wearing out early, but I think that was my driving style. It’s a good cheap & fun first car for a youngster, but not practical for families.
My experience with the swift is that it’s a good value for what you get but if you’ve experienced anything slightly better like a golf for example. The difference in quality and refinement is quite large. And it feels unbearably slow. But that’s to be expected I guess. If it’s a first car or if you are a bit of a novice it’s a perfect car.
@@greenawayr08 yeah it is in a different price class. But nowadays when you look at second hand market these cars are overpriced in my opinion. You could get a Suzuki swift for the same price as a golf and idk who would justify a swift over a golf. But in the past the price range was only about 4-5k imo most people should spend the extra if they could. Because it is that much more liveable.
I have the Swift dZire (the sedan model). I'm not entirely sure if it's sold in Aus, but I'm from South Africa and I absolutely love it! Just waiting for this new model to release here. Hopefully by the time the new Swift Sport releases I can afford it! For a student it's a great car. It's very frugal. I get about 19km/l in the city and 26km/l on the highway. Besides the weak engine, I love it. Nippy, eager and a very nice gearbox to use.
Great car. About 100 kgs lighter in the body makes this good but even better is the more rigid platform. Once again Suzuki tears away from its competitors with good sound engineering principles.
Did you manage to compare it against other rivals? If you did i bet fell behind everyone of them but the swift is a nice car. I have had suzuki's for years but i question their reliability. They are an absolute ball ache after 100k miles. My sisters friend bought a vitara 1.0 boosterjet and is having issue's already. She has replaced rear tires twice already and now its limp mode and suzuki cannot find the problem. I wish i never recomended suzuki to her now. Based on all the things ive seen on these newer suzuki im not sure whether i wanna buy another suzuki again. Which is a shame cus i like them😕.
Super_Slav Agreed. Sick of companies spoon feeding customers telling us what we do and don't want. I would love a top spec manual in many different cars.
3cyl plus cvt, just about the most horrible configuration an engineer can conceive. Plus throw in a turbo so that the people who buy these things and never service them (and there are plenty of those) will come to grief even faster. Top marks Suzuki.

Looks good! I hope they fixed the rack and pinion problem the last gen suffered from. Wouldnt mind owning this car at all.👍🏽
Amen .the rock and pinion was an issue
beautiful car
This Suzuki Looks Good In Matte Black😀⚫
Im looking at a 2017 today for my son. Anything i should be looking for as far as issues? Any reply appreciated cheers ❤
The boot is microscopic. As in you will need a microscope to find it.
@@CraigTheBrute-yf7no thanks for the reply. The older models were quite quick. What a shame!!!

What's your height mate, it will be good if you let us know while sitting in the rear seats, gives us more idea about headroom
Suzuki, the most simple designs ever, but compact, really really compact.
I own a Suzuki XL7 2002, it has technology.... a trip odometer...

It’s in a different budget to the golf, at least here in the UK it is.

How’s the legroom for taller people around 1.92m ?

Bruce Lee You own a diesel m8?

Swift or Ignis?
Serapis Bey or baleno
I've test driven both and the new model suzuki feels wayyy better to drive imo
Swift vs Baleno? Fun to drive? Thanks
Swift
What time is the best time to pick up one of these? Do you reckon I should wait a year for the price to drop?
depends on budget. bought a 2017 model few days ago, picked it up yesterday. paid 14.5k for it, 2017 model with 12k km's, practically brand new.
He forgot to mention there is no spare wheel if you have a blowout and many klm from help.
Do these variants have a digital speedo?
Which one s gud new model swift o d older one
How are the LED headlights? Are they any good? :) Oh, and nice review!

I thought Suzuki was a reliable brand?
may i know the exact color of this car?
It is Mineral Grey
ทำรูปทรงให้มันดูสปอร์ตมากกว่าน่ารักหน่อยไม่ได้รึ ครับ
Suzuki swift japan is excellent one.in built quality, maintainence etc than hyundai
This is made in india ....??
Shobi shobi Australians get the Japanese one
My ls3 engine probably weighs more than this car and is probably louder idling than this is on its redline. How did I end up here?
Maybe you are coming out of the closet and are dealing with your true sexuality. It's ok..you don't have to be macho anymore.
Commonwhore drivers are here too
pleasee always review like thisss
It's ok.. but rear back bumper is not style.. like old model... please try 2018 super style like BMW or audi
perfect amount of likes
Designwise such a disappointment. ...the former model looked so much better. Incredible that they could do this to it.
Both this and the previous gen have nothing on the first modern Swift (the 05 model).
John Grytbakk Got the previous generation myself. Never felt better about not upgrading. Design wise at least.
all good except for the bum 😆 the rear looks quite ugly..
jing713 All good? You like the front...Well I don't.
jaguar??
Would be lovely if available as a 2 door dog carrier.
No manual, looks like a skip for me.
Super_Slav Agreed. Sick of companies spoon feeding customers telling us what we do and don't want. I would love a top spec manual in many different cars.
To have a nippy car like that it simply has to be manual

6 speed torque convertor auto, not a CVT on the 1.0 turbo.
swift
Expensive for class of vehicle. There are so many other small cars with better value for money.
Why don't people just buy manual transmissions?

hmm, got a marginal chest for driver in ncap/ancap, but all green in pole
Marginal is only in the EuroNCAP test. ANCAP did their own test, which has all 'Acceptable' or better (pole is all green, except yellow chest).
nissan juke
what's the hell did they do to the Suzuki Swift it looks ugly the past two Swift looked really good this one is just plain ugly
datsun go? 😂😂
Horrible
i20 is still better looking.
What a terrible looking car. It also just looks cheap as usual for Suzuki.
SDav21 this is just your opinion. I think exactly the opposite
