Congrats on getting posted to Hack A Day, but I have some notes:
1: The soldering needs help. Looks like you're missing some of the fundamentals of what's being done when you solder.
2: Video-production wise you would do better with some subtitles, voice-over, or something to explain what you're doing. Never assume the audience knows what you're doing, and at least give a quick description of each step when you get there. I can follow along having made similar projects before, but this vid wouldn't help someone who's interested in doing similar.
3: If I had to guess you originally made this for a more general pro nano sorta games thing? To make a dedicated tetris game thing you only really need 4 buttons, and the screen is sideways for the use in this case. The video title is $9 tetris gaming rig, which implies that this thing will be dedicated to low cost and meant to play tetris specifically. If you meant to play other stuff (arduboy?) stuff originally it would be easy to note that in some subs or voiceover. If this was from the beginning meant to be for tetris then don't sweat reshooting video of you making it with the screen oriented vertical and the controls being set up for tetris specifically.
Best of luck on future projects! Keep making cool shit and putting it on the internet!

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I agree, I could have used subtitles and explained what I was doing, but since this was a "speed" build/video, I was just trying to get it made in one day. Most of my videos have a lot more production value. This was just a really quick build.
And I really like your channel! I subscribed! :-)
I originally was planning on making an arduboy, but I quickly realized halfway through my project that I had the wrong components on hand. (Arduino Pro mini, and the wrong screen). After that revelation, I switched gears and found some Tetris code that would work with the pro mini, and used that instead. haha
I'm actually shooting a video today, on how to make a wireless scope camera for a firearm, (to shoot around corners). Stay tuned!
