I love knives but a mammoth husk? I think it would look better as a mammoth husk than a knife handle. Overall i still love your videos and even this creative idea.
The nice thing about making knife handles from cracked material is that, you can make things to whatever suits the size of material you have! Nice block, hidden tang knife. Thin slabs, full tang knife. Tiny piece, tiny knife!
I forgive you that you recycle important parts of awesomely helpfull but old videos. I assume that you do that because you practice damascening. I hope nothing bad happened in stead and that's the reason for the long wait for the dagger
Waiting for someone to scream animal abuse not realising mammoths are extinct
That's some high quality material right there man 😮
Is it possible to stabilize mammoth tusk? Sort of like stabilizing wood burls.

Do like they do for river tables from live edge wood and fill the cracks with say black epoxy? It might look really cool..
Make mammoth tusk earrings, they're expensive in Alaska

That looks like wood.
I.just fill the cracks with epoxy. Looks good and you can mix the dust or other powder into the epoxy for a nice effect.
You are lucky. Mammoth ivory is legal where you live, but it's illegal in my country.
Can you stabilize the cracks with resin like they do with wood? Might end up with some interesting handles if it's possible

Was way better before you cut it up.
Can always stabilise the rest
When working with the tusks , what does it smell like?
Most all other bones
Why don't you glue the remaining pieces back together and make some sort of art unless it's just the middle
I think it's Awesome but mammoth tusk, honestly. I think there might be a little better usage for that Very expensive material.
Boner pills with an ancient twist
Hand it over
So much material ground away to powder...
Looks like waste if the tusk was complete
