    My biggest issue with Star Wars is the constant recycling of old content, Star Wars is creatively bankrupt in my eyes.

      Thats because old content is Star Wars they tried new stuff but it was all pretty terrible. But when they do the older content stuff it's very successful. They do have many of opportunities to do different stuff if they did the High Republic they can even use didn't force powers that were banned or forgotten by the original movies timeline hell if Rian Johnson did what he tried in the Last Jedi in the High Republic he would've been herald as a genius but instead he tried to mess with a 9 movie series spanning decades and changing things how he saw fit which really screwed the Rise of Skywalker chances badly.

Legends had golden content with Luke Skywalker and his jedi order and son going through multiple wars against gods, sith orders, civil wars between Skywalkers, outer galactic savage alien threats all with immense character development and collateral damage across the galaxy. Whoever was in charge of ignoring that and decided to start from scratch is the biggest tragedy for starwars.

    Clone Wars live-action show not only brings the Prequel cast together--especially Hayden and Ewan--but it also allows for massive world building in live-action. The world building in animated Clone Wars was incredible, beyond anything seen before or since. So a live-action Clone Wars would become a foundation for the other live-action shows to follow. By bringing back young Ahsoka, they would give Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka some context, since so many people tuned out because they had no idea who she was. People still have a thing against animation, so live-action Clone Wars draws in not only the built-in animated audience but new audiences only interested in live-action. It's just a smart business decision for Disney, as long as they have the right people making it and stop getting into divisive identity politics etc.

    Honestly most of these cons can be avoided by, instead of doing a Live Action of The Clone Wars, creating a Live action Republic Commando show.
    1.) The Main Clone Commando's could be voiced/played by Temuera Morrison but you could have Dee Bradley Baker playing the Agent whose providing the Clones with their intel for the mission.
    2.) You can get around Christopher Lee not being able to reprise his role as Count Dooku but you could have Corey Burton (Dooku's voice in The Clone Wars) for when you have Dooku issuing command to his troops via transmission if you want to include him in some way.
    3.) The overarching story could be about these commandos trying to find Darth Maul on Ord Mantell. They could even use the Son of Dathomir story as a base. This would have Mace Windu being the overall commander in the fight to get Samuel Jackson back, you could have the Jedi General of this said commando group be Kelleran Beq so you have Ahmed Best in the show. The only downside of using this arc would be Count Dooku not appearing but they could do a small retcon and have it be Grievous that's there and not Dooku if they really didn't want to recast for Dooku
    4.) Because it would just be around a small Commando group of Clones, Disney wouldn't be aiming to go too over the top at the beginning. And, if they use the Son of Dathomir as a base for the story, then they wouldn't have to worry about making the story from scratch
    5.) It could be the first inclusion of Scorch in Live Action so we see how he was during the Clone Wars prior to when he shows up in the Bad Batch as an antagonist. Allowing a greater impact on his character
    6.) As the Son of Dathomir arc would be taking place near the end of the Clone Wars, they can use that as a starting off point but then transition to Imperial Commandos as the Empire is being formed. Telling more story between RotS and ANH so they aren't as pigeon-toed as they would be if they go fully Clone Wars. Obviously these later potential seasons wouldn't have Mace Windu anymore but the story could be about these commandos trying to find Kelleran Beq or something so we know what happened to him after he parted ways with Grogu. If they go this route, the clones could still be hunting Maul as we know he's still around via Rebels/Solo.
    Or, if they don't want to tell the story from the clones perspective because they would be telling the villain's story, they could just make Kelleran the main protaganist of the show and then the later seasons is mostly his story with the commando's coming back now and again as antagonists. You could even throw Darth Vader in here at some point when he gets cornered (lets face it, Disney would 100% end up throwing Vader in regardless....)
    The only Con you mentioned that likely would still exist would be the action sequences that you mentioned before but, as much as there were issues with the Acolyte, the action sequences were pretty solid for the most part so Disney may be getting better in this aspect. In addition, this type of story wouldn't necessarily focus around lightsabers as much so the action might not look as bad overall in general and, if Kelleran Beq is a main focus, Ahmed Best already showed in The Mandalorian that he wasn't terrible when it came to action scenes. That being said, it is still Disney, and this Con may still be present but that'll be the case in any Star Wars show that's made so I don't really count it against this idea specifically.
    Keep in mind, I'm also making this idea as if it's starting at the Son of Dathomir point. You could theoretically start the show earlier where it's just the Clone Commandos as their originally cadets and working up from there (think Domino Squad arc in the Clone Wars but not necessarily with only 2 surviving for a long amount of time). It's just, if you go this route, it might not make sense to have Maul in as early so, if you wanted him in season 1, it'd make more sense to start at the Son of Dathomir.

    I think there's a 0% chance of a live-action Clone Wars SERIES which is probably for the best. Such a thing would take years to pull together and none of the original cast are getting any younger; de-aging and re-casting have already proven a mixed bag for Star Wars. Also as pointed out as part of your Cons list, Disney's track record regarding plots/scripts and action sequences for their tv series has been spotty as well. That said, if they wanted to do a singular FILM set during the Clone Wars maybe they could over come those things with some solid focus and funding but I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

    • @razradrenaline
      @razradrenaline 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well it’s been stated a multitude of times in different Star Wars media from older legends comics to new comic, the prequels, games, books and other stuff that Jedi can survive falls from incredible heights, and can enhance their body with the force to increase speed, strength, sight, and other aspects (we see this in the first bit of phantom menace, where obi won and qui gon speed down the hallway to fight Droids), so to me personally I think it’s entirely possible mace windu survived, I think it’s more likely he’s dead, but I remember watching the prequels as a kid and being convinced he was still alive, and I admit I still hold a bit of that sentiment now, there’s even a clip from some interview with Sam Jackson where he said he told George he thinks mace windu is still alive and didn’t want the character to be dead and George was like “sure, mace could still be alive, it’s very well possible”

  • @davidklande
    @davidklande 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I would love it.
    But I don't think it is even possible. Not just because some actors have sadly passed, but because the ones that are still around are now 20 years older. You can only do so much with Makeup, add in all the deaging to have the entire main cast deaged ALL THE TIME, would be prohibitivly expensive.

  • @lyleseward8638
    @lyleseward8638 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I know some people prefer live action remakes over cartoons but I don't think live action has anything to add to Clone Wars. The Jedi at their best and most powerful in the middle of a massive war is a story best told through cartoon.

  • @PiR8Rob
    @PiR8Rob 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I don't think they should do it. Con #2 outweighs all of the pros. Also, the actors are getting too old to play themselves from 20 years ago. You're going to have to use de-aging technology in every scene, and it's going to look jank AF.
