    Why is dashboard material so important that it needs to be touched. How often do you touch your dashboard like that?

      i know. those comments they make about soft touch dashes don't make any sense. i think as long as the steering wheel feels good, that's all you need. Next they're going to say that they're disappointed about not having soft touch on the gas door!

    Just passed 300K on my Sorento I bought new in 2013. Never had any large issues, just burns a little oil. Came from owning Honda's, and would buy another KIA sorento, but not until I hitt at least 400K.

    Really like that new Sorento. It'll be on my short list in the next couple of years. Kia and parent company Hyundai are the most improved auto makers in the last few years. They're really putting out great stuff lately with standard features usually found only in higher trim levels from others.

    I test drove a sorento and the outer body is nicely designed, very attractive and modern. When I drove it I found the power train to not be smooth enough for the price listed. At 28,000 - $29,000 it should not be stiff.

    Hi. I just need advice on whether to buy Sorrento 2014 or 2015. What is the crucial difference?
    2- Is Kia Telluride 2014 or 2015 better than Sorrento?
    Regards

    @MOONiE2k6 This wiper button location perplexes me, I have a Korean Built 2011 Sorento here in Australia and the Rear Wiper control is part of the normal Wiper stork?? Why was it built differently in the US built version?

  • @MarcG7424
    @MarcG7424 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Don't mind the rear window wiper being a separate button since it's not going to be used in every situation. I accidentally turn on the rear wiper on my RX frequently because of its location

    Yesterday, I noticed that my Transmission on my 2011 Sorento would hesitate at the inital take off but would sem to be ok at speeds of 60mph. When at a stop to go in reverse, there would be a minor jolt going into that gear. No...No servicee engine light at all and on the dash area, no display of what gear I was in. Once home, I shut off the engine and turned the key over to display the dash lights and the gear of p,d,r & N was seen as I shifted. Please advise if you've experienced this. Thanks! Laddie

    I bought one brand new 2013 LX poor quality within 2 years; torque converter shifting banging sounds, AC fan dies down , Brakes spongy, vehicle pulls to the left under freeway acceleration this is common on the Optina also.
    Worst car purchase i ever made!!!

    Whatever you do, DO NOT buy a Sorento. You will later regret it. We purchased our 2011 Kia Sorento EX V6 in 2012, with only 40,000 miles on it. Little did we know, Kia does not transfer the 100,000 miles warranty over to the 2nd owner. The SUV worked perfectly fine and has been maintained. However, once we reached about 90,000 miles we started having OCV sensor issues, the power steering stopped working and all four crankshaft position sensors failed. The KIA is designed that the owner cannot do any basic maintenance, except for change oil. Replacing the spark plugs requires removing the engine head to get to the spark plugs. It costs $400 at the shop for this three hour job.... My Honda costs $30 to replace the spark plugs and I can do it myself using the same laser Iridium spark plugs. A basic 50 cent o-ring for this car has to be ordered by the dealership because they do not carry them in stock. KIA dealerships rarely keep any parts for these SUV's and aftermarket products cannot be used. Only OEM oil filters can be used because of the flow rate of the oil. After spending $26,000 on our KIA Sorento in 2012. Now 5 years later, the dealership will only give us $5000, even though it is in mint condition and is fully loaded with all the bells and whistles. In five years we have put 84,000 miles on it. Which comes out to about $3.23 per mile. In 5 years, it has depreciated $21,000 or $4,200 per year. That is sad, considering my 2003 Honda Accord costed me $8,000 in 2013 with 145,000 miles and now with 181,000 miles the going rate is still about 5-6k. KIA's do not hold their resell value whatsoever.... KIA's will cost you a lot to repair, maintain and in the end, you will lose almost everything you paid for it.

      Are you sure??? Because it is ridiculus from technical point of view ;)

      That’s why you buy used and at least minimum 4 years old so it depreciates on the other poor loser that Bought it new

      I just looked up how to replace the Spark Plugs. You do not have to remove the head, you just have to remove the intake manifold. This is normal for most V6 vehicles. Should add about 30 minutes to the job. They are actually easier than the Toyota V6 to change.

    @friend5001 No one in North America really care that our cars are bigger. Most people would rather have a larger, comfortable SUV instead of a tiny European can opener.

    Consumer Reports always gripe about unnecessary things, thats why i only take their reviews for face value. Steve Hammes and Myride.com does a much better job of reviewing on things that actually matter to buyers.

    Funny, our kia sorento 2012, the engine just blew up. Went on a road trip, about 1000 miles in engine blew, mad rod nock. Did an oil change the day before we took off. When the engine blew, first thing I checked. No oil. Bone dry. No leaks on the bottom. It drank the whole case of oil just above 1000 miles. This is a shit car that could get you killed.

    • @omgcheeter
      @omgcheeter 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wherever you went to go get an oil change they forgot to put oil back in. No engine just drinks up oil and it disappears especially if it didn’t leak.
