2014 Honda Accord Belt Tensioner And Water Pump

Well we thought that the belt tensioner was making noise and I could hear the bearing was going bad. But the water pump was making most of the noise. So we got in there and replace both. That is the problem with belt noise or idler pully noise, the sound travels around and you do not know what is making the noise.
This video was made as a demonstration on how to repair things and should not be done with out the proper training and safety equipment. Did you ever figure out what was ultimately making this noise? My 2014 is having the same problem and I’ve replaced the tensioner and the belt itself. Unfortunately I’m still hearing the noise

Should I replace it w/ an OEM or is an aftermarket one like Dayco ok?

OEM is always best but the Dayco should be fine

Ended up needing to replace the decoupler pulley on alternator to stop my noise

Do you know if this is the same exact process and bolt sizes for a 2013 Honda Accord. ?
