You can tell because in the song you here Eminem in the backround screaming "Sing it" which isnt in Aerosmiths version.
Yes, Aerosmith did make the song before Eminem made a cover. But Eminem's cover song was used for this video, and he was clearly pointing that out. If you listen, you can hear Marshall (Eminem) going "Sing" after Steven Tyler sings a few words. So there's the end of this mishap. Have a nice day :)

He did a later version using just "Dream On" (sans Eminem) but as this is the first version it is technically a Green Day, Travis, Oasis, Eminem mash up.
