- So, my mom first met Joe while she was getting her eyes checked. He was an optician there. Apparently, Joe now came into our life!! Starting on March 1992!

I know Joe probably had his problems but in a lot of these videos I can see the good side of him, he seemed like he didn't try to be a father to you guys and respected you and your siblings.

It's funny how the 90s didn't mean much to me before but now I miss it. I was born in '71 and reminisced only about the mid 70s to 80s. But as time goes by, I have a greater appreciation for the 90s.
The 90s was the peak man.
Personality-wise, It's after conservative-types finally quit being so incredibly stuck up, but before liberal-types enthusiastically took their place.
It was a time for those of us who just wanna live....in my humble opinion.
Joe appears to be late 40s perhaps early 50s in this video which is now 34 years ago. He's likely passed on from this earth.
This video was just a month before the LA RIOTS. I was working at a pool store in Ontario when it all started. On my way home to La Puente on the 10 FWY I saw 30+ cop cars all in single file heading west on the 10fwy. I knew where they were headed. Thank you again Gil for sharing this video.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen new wicker chairs! 😂 I was 11 when this video was made, but big wicker chairs was something that everyone seem to have had forever already no matter what year it was.
My parents had the same dining room set. They gave it to my younger sister. I think she still has it.

His name was Erasto. He was ok to me. I think Joe was a "better dad" though.

What's so wonderful is that you were always imagining viewers in the future, and mentioning dates and how things looked, etc. You always spoke to an imaginary audience that became real when you joined TH-cam!
I wish I could help you figure out why all of your videos from tapes are squeezed horizontally. It looks like you're capturing at 720x480, and then exporting to 640x480 for upload, but the pixel aspect ratio isn't being changed correctly.
