I was lucky enough to be at this concert. This two step was the most amazing version I have experienced from any artist. It almost can t get any better. Just experiencing it live was worth the 2.5 hour wait to get out of the parking lot in Irvine and then drive home to San Diego. Wow now that is how its done...If an artist wants to see the real thing-just watch and learn...Dave's Band knows how to take it to the next level. Everyone else seems like a child...
OH HOT DAMN. This song just gets better and better. I love the way they break it down, like at 5:40. It's such an awesome touch, among everything else. And the end - GOD DAMN. I mean, the whole song, just, oh my. I can't get enough of this band. I hope they never stop touring. I swear I wake up every morning with DMB riding the current through my veins. They're just too much. Too good. GOD DAMN.
My bro and I went for my bday to alpine for both nights.. The final two step was The best way to say "see u next year!" Awesome set, they're still strong as ever!

+2010lumpkin he said bomb step bc the beginning free vocal part dave sings is from a song of theres called time bomb. They usually change up that beginning part each tour so they dont prob do that anymore
The studio version off Crash has Dave playing an electric guitar. Could Tim's playing be more subtle at times? Yes. But what Carter and Tim are doing at the end of this tune is way more interesting than any sleeper of a keyboard solo Butch Taylor would throw at you. Makes for a killer closer.
From what I've read and heard, Dave only first played an electric for the Everyday album. Tim was on almost every track for the first three big albums, so I think it's just Tim in the intro.
I'm back after 2 years to also say while I watch the epic video above that, I gotta say, holy shit dude, have you listened to the Piedmont Park version?? Butch and Carter KILL it together the entire time, and though it's a little apples to oranges, I'd say it totally rivals the jam at the end of this one.

The best thing about DMB is that they are always evolving their songs and live sound. This version is pretty f-ing epic. And if you don't like it there's at least 100 recordings of DMB playing the song the old way. So why complain?
