@Kim Taylor You are completely misrepresenting the truth of the alleged "findings" in The (Austrailian) Royal Commission: Report of Case Study No. 29. It's interesting how you and Elle Gee flocked to a study that wasn't an exhaustive or comprehensive investigation at all, namely, they only interviewed two, yeah two victims of child abuse. Also, the report is about how the JWs handle ALLEGATIONS of child abuse, not of known cases of child abuse. It says that right on the cover of the report! So generally speaking the "report" is about how the Royal Commission disagrees with how JWs handle ALLEGATIONS of child abuse. However, as their Elder Book demonstrates, the report made an incorrect conclusion. The JWs, their parents, and the victim is encouraged to call the police immediately. However, even the Belgium article below noted that some "accusations" suddenly pop up after the person is excommunicated from the religion and retaliates by crying abuse.
Regardless, the issues in Belgium and Australia differ and I WILL post links to relevant articles. Norway, which has a national Church but no longer has a national religion, is one of those countries where religion is literally supported by taxpayers; the more members you have, the more money your preferred religious (or Humanist) organization receives. Any “religious” group with 50 registered members are allowed to apply for state subsidies, and more than 800 groups receive that kind of funding. The controversy surrounds ex-members filing complaints that when they are “disfellowshipped” they are shunned. Either way, the Oslo District Court suspended de-registration of JWs in Norway on January 11, 2023.
(hrwf.eu/norway-oslo-district-court-suspends-de-registration-of-jehovahs-witnesses/). As you can see Elle Gee, the JWs fought the decision and they still have their religious status. So no, the Watchtower isn't squirming and they haven't changed their minds about disfellowshipping criminals.
Also, I'm surprised you missed this, but the (Australian) Royal Commission report is a perfect example of Big Government meddling in the affairs of religion. You'll band together and yell and scream if government does it to any other religion. But it's OK for government to mix church and state when it applies to JWs? That's so blantantly hypocritical that it's, in fact, illegal in the US. For example, the Governing Body of JWs exercised a legal precedent that prohibites Austrailia from mixing church and state or, big government trying to meddle in religious affairs: "Familial child sexual abuse is not institutional sexual abuse, as has been acknowledged by the Commission. Similarly it is self-evident that when child sexual abuse occurs outside ‘institutional’ contexts as defined, the response to it does not fall within the Terms of Reference of this Commission:
"The Commission proceeds on the basis that when an allegation of familial sexual abuse becomes known to an elder and is subsequently Scripturally investigated by congregation elders, it ceases to be familial abuse and becomes institutional abuse. This conflation of familial and institutional sexual abuse does not accord with the Terms of Reference."
Anotherwords, JWs already have systemic rules and steps that are carried out when someone is "ACCUSED" of child abuse and "please butt out". Remember, the Commission's report is only about the reporting of "ACCUSATIONS", not verified cases.
Many of you confuse the "two witness" rule with apathy or ignoring the accusation and even think it's made-up by JWs. Read the whole report. The Australian government's OPINION is that the scriptural guidance that ALL religions follow is "antiquated". Really? And when has big government ever been better at disseminating spirituality? The New International Version of the Bible used mostly by Catholics states,
      New International Version (NIV)
Occurances of “...testimony of two or three witnesses.”
      Deuteronomy 17:6
On the testimony of two or three witnesses a person is to be put to death, but no one is to be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.
      _____
      Deuteronomy 19:15
One witness is not enough to convict anyone accused of any crime or offense they may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
      _____

But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’

      2 Corinthians 13:1
This will be my third visit to you. “Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”

      _____
      Hebrews 10:28
Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
By inference then, that means that ALL Religions that follow the Christian Bible adhere to the two witness command by God. As you can see, the "rule" you refer to is a scriptural principle adhered to by the courts. Many hypocrites ignore the fact that, in court, the more witnesses to a crime, the better AND there must be, at a minimum, two, three, or more circumstantial pieces of evidence to convict a person of a crime, all in front of a multi-person jury. So, you're calling ALL religions liars...and by repeating it multiple times doesn't make it any more true. As the Scriptures and Criminal Laws show, it is you who are "lying" or atleast are spewing inaccuracies.
Again, the "two person rule" many so passionately denounce is actually a legal right of yours if you are accused of a crime. So, should we do away with your right to "stand before your accusers" aka "having more than one witness against you", just so you can do away with the scriptural law of "two or three witnesses"? It would be highly hypocritial to do so.

*I saw so much of this in my area in Loomis, California. Young boys were molested by a leader and the elders never reported to the police and families (victims) weren’t allowed to talk about it. I was hanging out with this leader as a minor and no one warned my parents. Later one of the victims when he became a late teen he was disfellowshipped against his will and he committed suicide. Many youths I knew that got shunned committed suicide. Later some of the victims put together a lawsuit and they won around 2000, but sadly not even a newspaper put it in an article. I read the public case. I too was called named by Elders as a teen, they constantly were harassing me in judicial meetings.*

@@joallg Joe Schmo, you're taking Matt. 18:16 out of context and its so very interesting how you hate mongers are quick to accuse and condemn. So, shame on you.
Let's review Matt. 18:14-17 together as it was part of Jesus' admonision to the Jews regarding how they were to deal with each other. Jesus said, “Moreover, if your BROTHER (a Jew) commits a sin, go and reveal his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take along with you one or two more, so that on the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established. If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations and as a tax collector." Joe, as verse 17 points out, this was guidance for disagreements or “sins” that had the possibility of being RESOLVED between two persons or brothers. The principle is the same in court. You go to SMALL CLAIMS court to get a judgement by a legal judge for a dispute or disagreement with another person. Jesus’ ultimate point, though, was in verse 35, that each person should try to find it in their heart to forgive the dispute and move on for the sake of peace.
However, in this forum, we're talking about CRIMES and CRIMINAL ACCUSATIONS that can NOT be settled between two people or brothers. EXTERNALLY, the elders FIRST encourage the person to call the Police or authorities to handle the criminal accusation. INTERNALLY, A CRIME IS A SERIOUS SIN and must be handled by the elders; James 5:13-15 makes the clear distinction of how we should properly react in line with God’s will. It says, “Is there anyone suffering hardship among you? Let him carry on prayer. Is there anyone in good spirits? Let him sing psalms. Is there anyone SICK among you? Let him call the elders of the congregation to him, and let them pray over him, applying oil to him in the name of Jehovah. And the prayer of faith will make the sick one well, and Jehovah will raise him up. Also, if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” This scripture in James is not the only guidance given to us regarding the handling of SERIOUS SIN such as child abuse. Furthermore, a person IS considered innocent until proven guilty. By LAW, the person has the right to defend themselves in case the accusation is false, and we know that this has happened in the past.
The apostle Paul made it very clear that a convicted child abuser was to be excommunicated from the congregation and this is what JWs follow to the letter. In fact, no other religion excommuncates anyone anymore. Paul said, “In my letter I wrote you to stop keeping company with sexually immoral people, not meaning entirely with the sexually immoral people of this world or the greedy people or extortioners or idolaters. Otherwise, you would actually have to get out of the world. But now I am writing you to stop keeping company with anyone called a brother who is sexually immoral or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do you not judge those inside, while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked person from among yourselves.” Being that elders are the only members that can “remove” or shun a person, they conduct the INTERNAL investigation and remove the criminal.
So no, Joe Schmo, you’re incorrect. We give no tollerance to any child abuser or anyone who is hardened in a course of abusing others, crimes, or serious sins. In fact, since JWs are the only organization that excommunicates such ones, where are our children really the safest in this mad world? Thus, we must allow the Police to do their job in the EXTERNAL investigation as they prosecute the person in a court of LAW. The INTERNAL investigation is started immediately as well. However, Internally, the investigation may pause until the court case finishes. Then, it may be clearer whether the “serious sin” occurred. In either case, the imperfect men try their best to determine the truthfulness of all involved and then render a fair judgement.

JW Elders are, by US law, obligated to act on and report a case of child abuse, even if it’s an accusation. The Shepherd Book is the guidebook for their elders in ALL countries and laws differ from country to country. The Shepherd Book, Chapter 14-Legal Considerations, item 6 states, “Child abuse is a crime. In some jurisdictions, individuals who learn of an allegation of child abuse may be obligated by law to report the allegation to the secular authorities.- Romans 13:1-4.” In the US, the elders know the law(s) and thus first ask if the victim is going to report the allegation. If so, the elders move onto item 7 and report the allegation to the Legal Department at the Branch office which is IMMEDIATELY acted on. If the victim does not want to report the allegation, the elders still perform item 7 which states in part, “To ensure that elders comply with child-abuse reporting laws (as outlined in item 6), two elders should immediately call the Legal Department for legal advice when the elders learn of an accusation of child abuse…” Either way, the allegation is assuredly and immediately reported and acted on.
Some allege that they or their parents reported abuse to the elders and they “covered it up.” If this is proven to be true, and because everyone is innocent until proven guilty, then the perpetrator (or whole organization) would be guilty of "MISPRISION OF A FELONY" and be prosecuted for that crime. No one gets away with anything and thus there is no conspiracy to hide abuse within the organization. That’s ridiculous and suggests that law enforcement is derelict in their efforts. Think about it, if the whole organization of over 19 million people is so dysfunctional that it, PER POLICY, allows children to be abused while the parents freak out, behave unlawfully, or threaten members to stay silent, lawyers would have a field day with it all, have JWs in court constantly, and the organization would be raided and shut down. Plus, their membership would be rapidly dropping, not increasing like it is. Ignore the trolls. They were probably kicked out of the organization for criminal offenses anyway. But, be careful, your disinformation can be reported to the FBI or other Policing authority and prosecuted as slander, defamation of character, or a religious "hate crime."

My son was married to a young woman who had been raped by her church elder/father since the time she was a toddler. Their marriage lasted about ten years. After she had a baby she had so many flashbacks about the molestation that it destroyed their marriage. We're in Canada. I know many women who were molested as children. In Watchtowerland, it's a systemic problem anywhere you go. Look at the Australia Royal Commission case study 29, for example.

@@dopeliffe Wait, what? JW's are a cult and a dangerous religion? Ok, let's consider a few facts…again because this disinformation has been proven false for decades.
      (1) Definition: "Cult, A system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure, person, or object. Ex: the cult of St. Olaf. 1. a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister. Ex: the cult of Satan worshipers." Nope, they don't venerate or give devotion to any man or object, only to Jehovah their God: Exodus 20:5 "for I, Jehovah your God, am a God who requires EXCLUSIVE devotion..." Other Christian religions labeling JW’s as a cult does not make it so. In fact, “main stream religions” having different beliefs than what is stated in the Bible is cause for taking what they say with “a grain of salt.”
      (2) In 2022, the JW's memorial of Jesus death had 19,721,672 in attendance, have 117,960 congregations worldwide, and spent 1,501,797,703 (that's Billions) hours in their field ministry. (www.jw.org/en/library/books/2022-Service-Year-Report-of-Jehovahs-Witnesses-Worldwide/2022-Grand-Totals/). Again, nope, that's not a "relatively small group”, they are Christians, and their beliefs are not sinister or secretive.
      (3) JW’s have won 50+ Supreme Court cases giving us many of the freedoms we all enjoy in the US today. That doesn’t sound like an organization that would leave their precious children lawfully unprotected. They obviously want laws to protect their members!
      (4) JW Elders are, by US law, obligated to act on and report a case of child abuse, even if it’s an accusation. They have NO paid clergy, the governing body you guys like to bag on doesn’t receive a dime in wages, and every JW is an unpaid volunteer. All of the money, which they disclose on their website every year for all to see, is entirely spent on printing/publishing Bible-based literature which they place with you, or leave at your home, for FREE! They even conduct Bible studies with people, all over the world, for FREE! No, it’s clearly not about the money.

The definition of a cult is simple to find. Google the definition of "cult". You'll see that I simply copied and pasted it into my comment. Thus, it is not me or any other person that is defining a cult...except you and others posting in this forum. Just because you want to twist and redefine what a cult is doesn't mean that the rest of the educated world is going to follow suit. Case in point, everytime the news on television refers to the JWs, they call them "The JW religion". Certainly, they're intellegent people and would know "if the shoe fits, wear it" and would describe the JWs as a cult. So, it's obvious that your linking JWs to a cult is simply irreverant, hypociritical, incompetent, and petty. I mean really, those old rumors and accusations were debunked over the decades; there simply is no truth to any of them. However, those who have been excommunicated or have some chip on their shoulder, yeah! they are most willing to repeat negative albeit baseless prevarications. They will not be alone with a woman that they are not married to or related to, ever. Because they have no intention of anything happening or being accused. When a predator is about to attack, it either waits for its prey to fall behind the flock or separates its prey from the flock. That's how predators work in all churches. Parents please stop letting your children be alone with adult men they are not related to. There is no reason to do that. Ever!!!

"Stop letting your children be with adult men that they are not related to?" That's like saying, "Putting up a fence will stop all crime." The fact is, fences keep out the honest people. My 6 year old daughter was raped 5 times at the age of 6 years old by a ministerial servant who happened to be her uncle. I never even left her alone with him. We were visiting my parents in law who lived in another state, and unbeknownst to me, he was taking her out of her bedroom in the middle of the night to do this. The fact is, predators will find a way. That's why we call them predators. Stop blaming parents, the little children and everyone else you can think of. The blame lies with the child rapist and the #1 goal should be to lock them away when their wicked deeds are brought to light. Anyone who is made aware of such activity should be full force on board with turning them over to the authorities. As so many Jehovah's Witness stories go, we were told NOT to go to the authorities so as to not bring reproach on Jehovah's name and organization. Doing that could lead to us being disfellowshipped! And don't bother calling me an apostate for saying that because that is exactly what happened. 30 years later, we are still dealing with the emotional trauma of all that occurred. Your comment reminded me of something that was said from the podium when my daughter was a newborn. I loved fixing her all up in pretty dresses, ribbons and bows, little tights and patent leather shoes and bonnets. We were told that even for newborns baby girls, we need to make sure that their dresses cover their knees so as to not sexually arouse men in the congregation. I thought, "What?" If a newborn baby girl sexually arouses a man, there is something deeply wrong with that man! Putting words like that out there gives every JW man a pass for going after little children to molest or rape them. Putting blame outside of the perpetrators gives them a pass because, in the end, they know they won't be held accountable. In fact, they will be protected by the elders and anyone higher up, all the way to the Governing Body. They'll die on the alter of sealed records of criminals who ruin people's lives. You might be wondering what ever happened to my daughter's molester. Absolutely nothing! He went on to molest at least 5 other girls that I know of. I'm quite sure there are far more. He was never even disfellowshipped, and remains in good standing to this day. What's going on in Pennsylvania needs to happen across this entire country in every single state, bar none. The overwhelming majority of JWs would never be part of one either. All of you "woke" kids think you bettered yourself but only succeeded in becoming a traitorous deserter. That's a stain that will never wash out. Besides, nothing they do fits the definition of a cult. Just because an organization doesn't follow the crowd or what everyone else is doing doesn't make them a cult. When has the "crowd" been right about anything? A whole crowd of Jews condemned Jesus to death as the hypocritical religious leaders lead the false accusations. Did that make them ALL correct and thus Jesus and his teachings a cult? All throughout history, the Catholic church, aka the "crowd" or numerous religion, engaged in bloodshed on a grand scale. Does that make them correct and the rest of us a "cult"? Of course not. Vanessa Whetstone is correct. These cases are not the "Norm".

      (5) Some allege that they or their parents reported abuse to the elders and they “covered it up.” If this is proven to be true, because everyone is innocent until proven guilty, then the perpetrator (or whole organization) would be guilty of "MISPRISION OF A FELONY" and be prosecuted for that crime.
      (6) “Their religion is only about the money.” Wrong, omg wrong.

Im an exJW. I was never molested by anyone in the congregation but I can attest to the group/cult-think that happens there. They are primed to listen and be followers making an easy environment for this kind of thing to happen. So, a predator can easily do whatever he/she wants there and if you know the rules you can use loopholes to keep yourself in good standing while victim takes the blame. It is true I was 3rd generation JW and I know how they operate. Im so glad that I am no longer with them. Unfortunately my family is not allowed to associate with me because I have not returned to the religion. I am sick, got diagnosed with an auto immune disease and deal with so much pain. none of them check on me. I can barely walk at times. My mom checks on me about every 3 months. Even tho she does not associate with me she at least said she won't see me hungry or homeless. Many others like me get disowned by their parents. It's an passively abusive environment

Nicky, we validate and appreciate the pain you are enduring. Your biased opinion of the environment in the congregations, though, cannot be taken seriously. What proof do you have that ALL congregations, and thus the whole organization, is corrupt and allows predators to flourish? You know as well as I do that if a "predator" is discovered, and they are guilty, they are disfellowshipped immediately AND reported to the Police. If you mean that they keep their criminal activities a secret, then Nicky, that happens in ALL religions, groups, even FAMILIES! So to make a huge jump in logic and condemn EVERYONE as being morally corrupt, that they don't genuinely care deeply for their children and loved ones, and everyone tolerates even the slightest wrongdoing is an outright prevarication.
The truth is that you were disfellowshipped and your butt hurt over it. That's truthfully why your family doesn't associate with you. They determined that YOU are a corrupting influence on the clean congregation and thus shun your ASSOCIATION, not cut you off completely. You admit that your mother checks up on you every three months. That right there proves your opinion incorrect; they didn't "disown" you. Your family does still care for you as proven by your mother and anyone in the congregation, including the elders, ARE ALLOWED to attend to any dire emergencies you have. But, they're not going to compromise their love and loyalty to Jehovah and his standards and associate with a person PROVEN to have been a corrupting influence in the congregation. That's the clear, truth of the circumstances you are in. But your situation proves exactly what JWs do to "potential" corrupting influences. It helps PROTECT the members, the children, and those that wish to fight imperfection and do what's scripturally right with the only motivation but to please Jehovah. Other religions don't even bother excommunicating corrupting influences are thus reaping the horrendous consequences of their error. Still, you well know as well as I do, you have the choice to follow the Internal rules, turn around, and clean up what you have done in the past. Once you do, everyone will be excited and glad to associate with you again.

On the other hand, as in cases like yours, when opinions infringe on the rights of others, are not factually based, or disparage or defame another's characer without proof, it becomes a religious hate crime at varying levels. This principle also applies to anyone who is a member of the JW organization or a person who chooses their own path Steven.

Any intelligent person would know you're making a fool of yourself by suggesting that YOU have all the "facts" and the authorities, police, and prosecutors are completely powerless to stop such alleged crimes. I call BS.
Again, you misrepresent the facts: the most recent Shepherd book DOES have the direction that they are to contact the authorities first and not try to handle the matter themselves. Second, 4 letters were sent giving them specific direction on how to handle sex cases. You are not privy to such information as you are obviously not part of the organization. You really think we, the public, are going to believe you over information obtained right from the source and the police? There is no conspiracy or pattern to cover up anything. It's downright foolish for you to suggest otherwise as the laws and law enforcement is robust in Australia, the US, and other countries. This type of crime is happening all over the world and is obviously being handled appropriately and aggressively as your narrative demonstrates.
The one principle that the JW's do uphold is a right that you may have forgotten, and that is, "A man or woman is innocent until proven guilty." Thus, if a woman lashes out at you in anger and unjustly accuses you of rape, you suggest they immediately arrest you and send you to jail? NO! You want your day in court to prove your innocence! You fail to see the ultimate truth right in front of your face; the JW's would have no freeness of speech in their ministry, they would have no right to have children (because they allegedly cover up sex crimes and put their children at risk), and their organization would be shrinking fast if they practiced such "cover up" crimes.
Your stories are old, come from Troll websites, and have no written or factual proof to support your allegations. I too can search the internet and find ISOLATED cases of sex crimes within the JW's but they are ALL being prosecuted according the right that a person is innocent until PROVEN guilty.

No, of course not. Let's consider a few facts…again because this disinformation has been proven false for decades.
No one gets away with anything and thus there is no conspiracy to hide abuse within the organization. That’s ridiculous and suggests that law enforcement is derelict in their efforts. @@nick281972 Correct! As your first comment suggested, for JWs who have all the same feelings and love for their children like we do, they excommunicate pedos and criminals immediately! And they really mean it as evidenced by all the excommunicated whiners who cry over being shunned! On the other hand, the two-witness rule is, in fact, a Bible principle on which our criminal courts base our rights. The specific scriptures are:
      New International Version (NIV)
“...testimony of two or three witnesses.”
      Deuteronomy 17:6
On the testimony of two or three witnesses a person is to be put to death, but no one is to be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.
      Deuteronomy 19:15
One witness is not enough to convict anyone accused of any crime or offense they may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
      Matthew 18:16
But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’
      2 Corinthians 13:1
This will be my third visit to you. “Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”
      1 Timothy 5:19
Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses.
      Hebrews 10:28
Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
As you can see, both accusations and convictions are addressed. JWs have "Internal" rules and yet also abide by all of the "External" government laws which is also scriptural (Rom. 13:1). The issue surrounding the "two witness rule" is an "Internal" manner of handling an ACCUSATION of child abuse or other crime, including serious immoral wrongdoing (e.g. adultry, pedofelia, etc.). The elders or older men are instructed to immediately encourage the person and their parents to go to the police IMMEDIATELY if the victim and parents feel the accusation has merit. They don't have a crystal ball and they are not trained investigators or policemen. Thus, they next intiate an INTERNAL investigation which is governed by the same principles that our criminal code is based, namely, that one of two elements must be met for a person to be FOUND GUILTY of the crime. (1) there must be two or more witnesses (or a confession) to the crime or (2) there must be one witness with overwhelming circumstantial evidence in order to CONVICT the person. The punishment is always the same; excommunication which the JWs call disfellowshipping. The person is shunned by JW family members and the congregations of JWs, which is also scriptural. It's done that way to lovingly get the person to think about their attitude(s) and actions and hopefully come to their senses. But, MORE IMPORTANTLY, it keeps the congregation and their families safe from known, active pedofiles and any dangerous infuence, both morally and criminally. But again, many people don't stop and realize that our rights in criminal court is based on this scriptural principle.
The EXTERNAL investigation should be initiated by the parents and or the victim. However, the laws in the US state that a person who is aware of a crime, or even the accusation of a crime, must report this to the authorities at once. On the other hand, some victims state that they made the accusation of child-abuse as a child and no one believed them and/or it was "swept under the carpet." That is the nearly impossible scenario to deal with because none of us can see into people's hearts or into the past and determine, for a certainty, that the person is innocent or guilty. Thus, just like in groups all around the world, some get away with it for a time but then are exposed later. Thus, no one gets away with it forever; death will even consume that person eventually. But, we should not condenm entire organizations based on human, and sometimes parental, imperfection, errors made by a few, and man's inability to execute perfect and immediate judgement and appropriate punishment. None of us, no mater what group or religion or organization we're in can provide perfect justice for both sides of a criminal matter. It's directed to and given to the authorities to handle. Even then there may not be enough evidence for the police to convict the perpetrator. That kind of scenario is sad to watch and impossible to reconcile.

LOL! No religious organization could have such a criminalistic policy J.L. Theocratic warfare is a bit different than your personal defintion.
What is Theocratic (Spiritual) Warfare? “When the apostle Peter used his sword against the slave of the high priest, Jesus told him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword.” (Matthew 26:52, 53; John 18:10, 11) Jesus thus made it plain that theocratic warfare from that time on was not to include the use of fleshly/physical weapons. Later when he was brought before Pontius Pilate, he reiterated this point by anwering Pilate's question as to whether or not he was a King, “If my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight.” (John 18:36)
Years later, the apostle Paul, under inspiration, wrote in his letter to the Ephesian congregation that spiritual warfare was against the “spiritual” organization of Satan, which has dominated and controlled the earth for centuries. (“We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.”-1 John 5:19). Paul stated quite clearly, “Put on the complete suit of armor from God so that you may be able to stand firm against the crafty acts of the Devil; because we have a struggle, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places.”- Eph. 6:11, 12. Then, in his letter to the Corinthian congregation he wrote, “The weapons of our [spiritual] warfare are not fleshly,” he said. “For we are overturning reasonings and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God.”-2 Corinthians 10:4, 5.
It’s clear by this evidence that your definition of theocratic warfare is incorrect. Jehovah can defend his reputation and protect the organization completely without the aid of humans. A true Christian's fight is against false relgion and those who minds have become bankrupt of Truth, accuracy, and the building up of others. JWs motivation is thus to keep themselves from becoming a victim of Satan, becoming disloyal, and loosing the ability to reflect the fruitage of God’s spirit.
Furthermore, if we love our God and want to please him, then a JW will strive to never bring reproach on God's name. But don’t misunderstand. Jehovah has big shoulders and can handle anything humans throw at him. It's simply an opportunity for humans to show our deep love for him.

    • @PuissantPeacock
      @PuissantPeacock ปีที่แล้ว +2

The group was originally referred to as the Bible Students due to not having a formal name, and founded in the late 1870s by Charles Taze Russell, who also co-founded Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society in 1881, to organize and print the group's publications. After Russell's death, a dispute over who the group should now follow resulted in several quasi-groups breaking away, with Joseph Franklin Rutherford retaining control of the Watch Tower Society and its properties. Rutherford made significant organizational and doctrinal changes, including adoption of the name Jehovah's Witnesses in 1931 to distinguish them from other Bible Student groups, symbolize a break with those who wanted to follow Russell's traditions, writtings, and thinking, and instead emphasize following Jehovah rather than a man (Russell). All of these other groups either rapidly fell apart or, over the years, dwindled to only having a few dozen adherents remain. Now the only recognized organization is the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

And you put HIM on a pedestal? He's the equivalent of Putin, Mussolini, Stalin or Hitler for god's sake! If the "issues" are "national" and "worldwide", then show us the proof of hundreds, if not thousands, of court cases against the JW organizations occurring. Do you have any links to share that proves JWs purposely covered up sexual misconduct and thus make it "disgusting"? You see, the world around you has corrupted your mind so extensively that you actually believe your own "truth". The truth of the matter is that there are NO conspiracies and the authorities are handling the isolated cases that ALL religions face in these last days. Show us the proof. JWs, by their own beliefs, do NOT take or accept government jobs that violate their beliefs and thus aren't pursuing power. If you knew anything about them you would know that; they stay strictly NEUTRAL, they don't go to war, and they don't get involved in politics. That proves they're willing to go to jail so as not to kill ANYONE. They are peaceful people. Prove me wrong. Show me fact-checked proof of your empty assertions and we'll believe you.

So, we should just give a pass to an adult outside the home who the child went to for help, who then slaps the abuser on the wrist for their "sin" and fails to contact the authorities so they can intervene on that child's behalf, then keeps the predator in the community so they can target more kids?

    • @Angry20Something
      @Angry20Something ปีที่แล้ว +8

So, what happens when the parent is the abuser and the elder is the adult the child goes to for help? Do you still get to make that excuse?. Or how about the case of Jesse John Hill, who is one of the men arrested in this investigation. His criminal complaint is available online and congregation records were among the evidence. When one person told elders he molested them, elders had a judicial committee and Hill told them he molested 9 kids. Per their policy, they notified the Bethel Service department. What is your excuse for those elders and the Watchtower service department keeping that information from police, in violation of PA mandatory reporter laws? What is your justification for the pathetic slap on the wrist of his disfellowshipping only to be reinstated and back in good standing in under a year for molesting 9 children? What is your excuse for the cases where the victim or their parent does go to the police and the elders refuse to cooperate (California vs Simental, conviction of Clifford Whitely in the United Kingdom and the sworn statement of detective Philip Endsor to the IICSA hearings that states elders refused to cooperate with his investigation)? What is your excuse for an entire body of elders in Ireland being deleted by the branch officials in that country when they chose to call police on a known molester when the service department told them not to? What is your excuse for Australian authorities uncovering records in Australian Bethel of over 1000 child molesters and not a single one reported to police or child protective services? See the Australian Royal Commission case study 29, which includes video testimony of branch officials and Governing body member Geoffrey Jackson. Maybe you can tell me the part where he stands up for "The Truth" and denounces the commission' s findings as lies? You wont find it. Instead you'll find him admitting under oath that it is not "Apostate lies." There is a whole hell of a lot more to this than whether or not the victim or their parent goes to the police. Because of JW judicial investigations, elders often uncover more information and know of other victims. And anyone who works with sex abuse victims knows that mandatory reporter laws exist because family often cannot be trusted to self report abuse happening in the home. This is an issue of systemic, repeated failure to obey mandatory reporter laws and cooperate with police investigations and an issue of pervasive negligence by failing to permanently expell abusers in congregations as well as warn the outside community. Not lies. There are literally thousands of cases of them covering up this crime worldwide. Many of them have publicly available court transcripts and even video depositions. You would know that if they didnt spend so much time poisoning the well and scaring you away from researching for yourself by demonizing so called Apostates. No more excuses.

@@Angry20Something And your written proof of lying, cover-ups, and not reporting crimes is......where? You're repeating disinformation as if it is your "authoritative" source and, in fact, would take more faith to believe your twisted interpretation of the facts.
Please knock off all the disinformation that you're trying to mold into some form of truth. It's nauseating, troll-like, and only makes you look like a gullible fool. The police will handle the prosecution of any and all perpetrators of sex crimes no matter if they happen in the congregations of JW's or in other religions around the world. But, be careful, your disinformation can be reported to the FBI or other Policing authority and prosecuted as slander, defamation of character, or a religious "hate crime."

This comment were originally typed for someone else and also sent but i copied and past it to this comment seeing that i at first wanted to comment on the main thread but then my eye caught someones comment and responded to it...."I think what people that's not part of the organisation fails to recognise to what the several different reasons are to why the elders do not report any individuality cases to the authorities which is solely based on biblical principles are one of the main reasons to why they're prejudice. When watching this clip it's clearly evident to me that this women is blatantly lying. I'm not saying she lied about her being molested by this 26 year old but she's definitely lying about to what the elder's response to her were by saying that they said she's a Jezebel and made her the culprit for why it happened to her. Yes the elders do not report individuality cases to the authorities, for very good reasons p but never will they try and withhold any victim or the guardians of a victim of reporting the matter to the authorities! The elders jurisdiction are within the organisation where their decision are based on biblical principles and rely on GOD to help them to make the right decisions knowing that GOD are the ONE that ultimately has the right to bring judgment upon those who defies HIS laws and principled. HE is the only ONE who can judge in fairness. Two days ago I saw a news article about a man who unfairly spend 35 years in prison only to be found out now that he were innocent all this time.😨 The point is that GOD justly gave the elders a limited amount of authority to were it comes to what decision they are allowed to make. Because according to the Bible and clearly evident all over the world that people in authoritative positions make very poor unjust decisions all the time, how can one expect an imperfect person to decide whether you live or die or how long would be sufficient to spend behind bars for a crime commited? Not only that but do you believe people can change no matter what kind of detestable lifestyle they have? Well GOD says people can change that's why HE allowed so much time to pass. He could've ended all the wickedness centuries ago but if he had millions who turned their life around wouldn't of had the opportunity to live forever in the very soon upcoming paradise. GOD several times have shown in the Bible how HE forgave several people which would've been put to death had they been tried in a court held by men. The point, which is also part of the reason to why no witness votes or partake and refrain from all sorts of political matters, is because they acknowledge the fact that the world in general are controlled by satan and the demons just as the Bible says and because of this fact they are wise to show their loyalty to GOD by following the instructions and directions of the people who HE choose to take the lead in helping and guiding as many as possible to firstly get to know who the true GOD is and show them how it is possible to have a personal relationship with HIM which are based on love and not for what you might gain. There's several reasons to why she might lie and try to, just like many others in the pass tried to spoil the abnormal good reputation the witnesses have all over the world. The question is why only report it now? For one i think she were a witness all this time but made herself guilty of something which made the elders decide to disfellowship her most probably because she weren't sincerely remorseful or someone else reported her misconduct and now out of anger of not having the privilege of association with the organisation and every witness that belongs to it. It happened several times as a means of retaliation. One recent example is the shooting at one of the Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's witnesses where the shooter were identified as being a disfellowshiped person.😐 Anyway it's prophesied in the Bible that the nations of the world will unanimously ultimately act together and attack GOD'S people for they will see them as a threat against their rulership seeing that the witnesses all around the world unanimously are neutral to any form of political matters and pledges their allegiance only to their GOD JEHOVAH even though they are compelled by their GOD to follow the rules and laws of their respective country they reside in unless it contradict their GOD'S laws and principles, only then will they ignore their government's law and uphold their GOD'S laws and principles no matter what the consequences might be for an example, many countries had compelled their citizens to partake in a war being fought and even outlined the consequences of not doing so, because Jehovah's Witnesses know their GOD compelled them not to take up the sword for anyone doing so shall die by it and also are compelled to love and have empathy for their enemies just like Jesus who are the greatest example for when He said while hanging in excruciating pain and being mocked,"FATHER please forgive them for they do not know what they're doing". Yes the witnesses were learned that due to the world's ignorance according to the truth's teachings (the organisation of Jehovah's Witnesses teachings) which is strictly solely based on biblical laws and principles, the world would hate and despise them. Many had and many more will still do so which is by spreading propaganda against the witnesses. Many of the lies unfortunately prevails due to ignorance, some because those that supposed to be trusted are orchestrating it making it harder to see the lies for what it truly is like by those taking the lead in their churches or government institutions making use of patriotism to influence the mindset of the ignorant to thinking that the witnesses are part of the enemy just because they do not pledge their alliance to their country's flag not acknowledging that their GOD compels them to be good, peaceful and abiding citizens which every country should've hope all their citizens should be. Other will eagerly spread propaganda because they choose to do wrong or live a lifestyle which aren't suitable for someone to have if he/she wants to enter the new world where Jesus will rule as earth's King for a thousand year in order to restore the damage satan, the demons and humans caused both physically, mentally and spiritually, and then He will hand over the Kingdom back to His FATHER. Anyway I hope this comment were informative and helpful to see the orchestration of this woman's motive which are to slander the organisation's name of the Jehovah's witnesses who are undeniably the only people teaching the truth about GOD'S word, this being sincerely said not wanting to purposely offend anyone even though it's understandable if you take offense but unfortunately i can't be subtle about it. It's one of those things where you have to call a spade a spade."
