Hi Justin, just want to say what a beautiful job mate.looks like you lads have had some crap weather to contend with but as always the magic trio have succeeded as per usual👌💥.Take care lads and I hope frays girlfriend is OK.
Thanks Dave and yea the weather is always a challenge isnt it mate .The two lads keep stepping up and good for them . Cheers Dave much appreciated. Justin 👍
Really lovely looking job lads Tiles and grouting look amazing. What a ball ache the pin curbs, but the customer get what the customer wants. Looking forward to the rest of the job 👍
Awesome work guys top tip on setting out and good to get personal options of new slurry ! What a pain having the flat tops lower but yet again u rise above the situation and get it done cheers for upload Justin 👏
Not a bad idea marking out slabs gives clients a idea of what's what and gives your two young lads a guide to work to have you tried Ultra scape primer its really good same people make flow point very slow setting good tidy job there lads 👍
Alright steve Yes landscaping is very under rated a lot of thought and detail goes into it and my bricklaying background helps with that. Appreciate the comment hopefully ill see you at Tonys show 👍🧱🧱🧱
Great stuff mate good we tip with paint seen me doing that with 4 different sizes. Yeah marshalls best primer. Easy prime very similar also. Whip the marshalls a wee bit watery than normal on warm day let sit for few mins few more spins with paddle stuff is good for whole day basically. Pay £4 more for marshalls than pavetuf. Get extra 3kg with marshalls. And spreads easier. Pavetuf has gritty bits goes off quicker and wrecks the roller if rolling it on only covers 15s rangers were marshalls get about 25sqm with putting on thick. Use a 4inch roller with extended handle 400-600mm long or summit a fencing 1. Job coming on great buddy. Super video.
Flowpoint and marshalls are simple to installl pretty easy what pisses me if with the tile get that but whitening here and there. Always use Fugabella now east to apply and clean to need to punch in with grout trowel. Use Flowpoint marshalls on sandstone and concrete products. Thing Flowpoint marshalls they can go as wide as 50mm joints. Which like with sandstone or limestone as shit sizing could have anything form 8mm to 15mm joints. In fact Flowpoint says may not be good with dark limestones so used marshalls as rep so issues 🙃🙃 got the old white bits here and there lol. Justin for a super slick finish. Fugabella can’t be beaten. Sure mapei do a good 1 also. Pro tilers 1 looks interesting that Scott is trialing.
Hi Lee Yea marshalls slurry way better was sick of pave tuff good but gritty a d sets as soon as you mix it .Have used rollers will.use again at some point . The meg seems better than flowpoint so far 👍
Your second post lee. Fugabella can it be used on sandstone i no its for porcelain. We will use it at some point mate .Yea spoke to scott about the tilers tools one he loves it .Also want to use the mapei products as the products ive used so far are very good but im told i can order in from TP so again at some point ill give then a go maybe the ultra colour on porcelain. Have you used this lee. Is the Fugabella easy then mate always shit myself first time around 🤣🤣. Cheers mate and awra best. Justin 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Fugabella piece of pish buddy cleans super easy also. On sandstone yeah could see why not does fill up to 20mm joints sandstone a tend want use the slurry types like Flowpoint. More stress as sooks in the porous quick as don’t get that on the tile. Fugabella can easily cover 40sqm in 1 go saw 12-15 degrees looking at 45 mins goes off roughly. But no stress on tile cleans super easy. Power washer takes off any bits missed on tile. Only down point need to put on with grout trowel once in a flow with takes no time really. With a good hard rubber expoxy grout trowel. The finish is a level above on Flowpoint and marshalls when comes down to tile. Super smooth. Where natural stones etc a grainer finish is good with Flowpoint etc. knee pads buddy maybe not for self your old eh 😆😆😆😆 joking mate. But fento 400 knee pads oh my what a difference £130 expensive but worth every penny supports the whole bottom of leg ie the shin too. Super light straps go round the backs leg nowhere near the knee so no digging in. Medically approved. You Fraser and Brad telling ya treat them and look after them knees. Any money left buy yourself a pair lol 😆😆. A hate anything on knees inserts tried the 1,s you have just irritating. But are super comfy and truly support knee and shins. Knee doesn’t roll about etc. back on fugabella front don’t need loads of water for clean light hose and a wash boy. Pedalo great for giving a rough clean by that meaning rubbing the excess into joint making nice and smooth. Then like get with small float a give intense clean of. Light hose on surface when look like drying slide sponge about smoothing joints gives play time to get cleaning the first part that got grout in first. As obviously be going off quicker than last section you happen to install.
Great Videos, I have been watching your setting out patio videos. They are really helpful for understanding how to set out the string lines for level. But how would you advise to set out for the fall if you are laying the slabs a few at a time ? Do you lay a string for the fall as well ? Thanks
Thanks appreciate it . Yes find the start level add a string line to that level same with the end point of the patio then you get your falls.many other things to consider but it answers your question Justin 👍
Thanks very much for taking the time to reply, do you have to follow the 1- 80 fall, or as long as it has a fall that’s ok ? Thanks again, love the channel
@@lbishop100 No problem .To be honest thats a big fall i dont no anyone that adds falls to that degree .Usually as long as the bubble on the level is touching the line its good to go . Good luck 👍
last question! what type of paintbrush is good for painting the slurry on the back of the tiles ? For tile spacing , actual tile spacers or 5mm packers? Thanks again
Looks fecking ace, that Lads! What size of joint did you go with there, Justin? Looks about 10mm? I did a big job recently with 900 x 600 porcelain tiles and I used 4mm spacers with standard exterior mapai ultracolour grout and to be honest it was a frigging nightmare to grout! I really want to try the flowpoint / Marshalls on my next job....I'm just a bit wary of getting caught out as I usually work on my own, and I know there is a time limit on getting it jetwashed off.

Got videos on that .can go 75 to 100 mm mot type 1 followed by 40 to 50 mm screed in sharp 6 mm to dust or grano.
Good luck.👍
6:20 so when the guys are putting on the primer why arent they going all the way to the edge of the slab?
It's just so we don't transfer it on to the tiles when lifting etc .It's only a small area 👍
