    Would it be stronger to put guy eye-bolts into the top steel plate instead of adding those extra guy tabs on the 10-ft mast just below the steel plate?

      The connection of the topper to the main pole is a weak point: A threaded coupling. I didn’t want to add stress to that part of the design.

    Nice presentation. Consider using fewer ports with a little power injection. I used only 6 ports of my kulp k-8 to drive 6 lines of 750 pixels each, 5v, 125 pixels per strand. I did use 2 350w meanwells, but like your single hp solution.

    Nice detailed video. I really like the power supply setup. Do you happen to have a link to the jboards breakout? Thanks!

      There is a link to the JBoards website in the description. However, this particular board he is not currently making and not sure if this will change in the future. I’ve added a second option from a different vendor that I also use and works well.
      Thanks for watching and glad you liked it. More to come.

    Great video can you explain how you wired it xlights to know? To falcon smart receiver to pixels? Regulated or resistor

    • @StevePetrucci
      @StevePetrucci  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My home computer talked to the two controllers wirelessly. The Beagle Bones on each controller held the data on their sd cards. During the show the controllers also spoke wirelessly to each other. All of my smart receivers were connected to the controllers via cat5 cables. All of my pixels are 12v resistor. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

      EFL designs. My next video (Wall Props) coming out this week will focus on them and the entire wall. Great products! Thanks for watching.

    So one port is controlling those 3 strings?

    • @StevePetrucci
      @StevePetrucci  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      150 pixels per port (12v). Up 75, down 75. Using three sets of 50 to create the 150 count.

      @Kev7274 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@StevePetrucci This is great. I was planning on using 24 ports for 24 strings of 75 pixels.
