      If you could you should get a Vizio M series quantum .. or a Vizio P series . I took my Vizio V series back a day after I got it in exchange for a P series and it’s a big difference ! There’s now a P series QX which is a lot more expensive than the V but if you’d like to meet in between the M series Quantum 2019 version is very very good !

    All my TV's are Vizio. Three in the workout room/ one for my Cycling online video, one for my treadmill, and one for my rowing machine. I have another (42") in my living room that I have had for over 12 years, still works great. Can't beat them.

    I just bought this TV today from Costco in San Diego I bought the 58 inch I didn’t even know they made that size. I purchased it for $359.00. I love the size! I love the picture quality, I love the sound! I love the shape of the tv I have it on the tv legs it came with and it’s super sleek and not bulky at all. The only thing I am not crazy about is the flimsy little remote it comes with. The remote feels cheap due to its extremely light weight. Other than the remote I honestly LOVE this TV! I was actually able to get internet to work from my hotspot from my phone! I am using my WiFi from my home now but I wanted to just see if my personal hotspot on my cell phone would work and sure enough it did I actually watched a show on Netflix. Great buy in my opinion! 🤗💕🙏🏽👍🏽

    Just a idea for those of you who have this model or similar outputs. Take a active subwoofer,and plug it in the coaxial output. Put the adjustment in the sound menu on variable. Adjust the sound adjustments on the subwoofer to preference, and the equalizer settings to preference, and repeat until the sound is set.

      @JasonWW2000 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your referring to the red and white RCA outputs? I wonder if I would need to use a two into one adapter to go from stereo to the mono input on my subwoofer? I think so.
      I notice Vizio is one of the few brands with this analog audio output.

    • @johnsimun6533
      @johnsimun6533 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, if I talk to you like you are an idiot. Please take no offense.
      Yes, the red and white plugs. First, check the televisions menu, under the audio tab, for an choice of “fixed” or “variable”. Then select “variable” Then plug the cable into the “audio out” on the tv. If the powered subwoofer has only 1 input, you will need that “Y” adapter.
      I have an Infinity BU-2, the manual shows to place the “Y” adapter into the subwoofer, and run the single cable into the mono sub out on the amplifier. I don’t think it will make a difference either way. I would use the best cable I have for the run between the tv and subwoofer. So if you have better red and white cables use the Y adapter on the subwoofer. If you have a better single cable, use that one.
      After everything is connected. In the televisions menu, place the equalizer at 0. Subwoofer knobs 1/2 way. Sit in your normal position, get comfortable. Have someone else adjust the knobs ad needed.
      Imagine an equalizer from back in the day. The subwoofer will produce bass from the left to the right. The crossover is the point that the subwoofer will produce sound up to. The higher the crossover is set, the more to the right of the imaginary equalizer, the subwoofer will produce bass notes. The gain is the volume fo the subwoofer.
      So, watch something generic like the news while you are adjusting the sound.
      The televisions equalizer adjustments will be made lightly. If you like the sound to be brighter adjust accordingly. The televisions equalizer will also affect the subwoofer also. The lower frequencies on the televisions equalizer, will affect the subwoofer up to roughly the frequency the crossover on the subwoofer is set.
      The televisions built in speakers will still operate as they would without the subwoofer connected. So adding more bass on the equalizer will also add more bass on the televisions built in speakers. Be careful not to have the settings too high for the bass. That could distort the televisions speakers.
      The way you can check is. First watch an movie, music video, concert, or anything with a wide variety of frequencies. Especially something that has more bass, such as plane crashes, car exhaust loping, or just your choice of music. Look at the number that the televisions volume shows. Let’s say 43 is loud but normal. Like for a movie or listening to music. Unplug the subwoofer, and listen to the same thing. Except this time turn it up to 48, maybe even 50+. This way you have some headroom.
      As it is playing walk up to the tv, listen to the speakers, and the television. Does it sound like the tv is blown out? Is the television body resonating certain frequencies?
      If not producing crystal clear sound, adjust the equalizer as needed. Don’t worry about the bass. You are only worried that the televisions built in speakers are producing the best sound they can.
      Then plug the subwoofer back up, and adjust the crossover, and the gain on the subwoofer.
      That is the best sound you can have, with the equipment you have.
      If you have enough cable length. Place the sub in the corner, under a table, behind a piece of furniture, anywhere that the cable will allow. Keep in mind, the longer the cable, the more the signal will break down. Shorter is better.
      If placing the subwoofer under a table is better for the room setup, then adjust the subwoofer accordingly, only the subwoofer. To improve the bass in that position. The only option is to adjust the crossover and gain. If not happy then, the only other option is to get another subwoofer that will fit under the table, or wherever you have found.
      If you want deeper (not louder) bass. You will need a larger subwoofer. If your sub is an 6.5 inch, try an 8 inch. If possible to get an 12 inch active subwoofer, that would be preferable. An 12 inch subwoofer doesn’t mean louder, but deeper bass, compared to a smaller driver.
      If you want louder bass. You will need one that has more power.
      If you feel you have the skills. You can remove the back of the television, and tie into the wires on the televisions built in speakers, to run the sound directly to the subwoofer. That would work if you do not have a “variable output” on your television, and you have the ability to put the speaker wires into the subwoofer.
      You can also disconnect the televisions built in speakers, and drop the wires down to an set of speakers, from let’s say an old boom box. Look up the televisions specs. Try to match the ohms and power. Keep in mind the smaller the driver the higher. While the larger the lower.
      This is not perfect sound, but is an improvement on the televisions sound.

      @@johnsimun6533 I've been an audio guy for like 30 years so I know how to get good sound. Thanks for taking the time to write that, though. The thing I wasn't sure about was if this V series model could output on those RCA's and the built-in speakers at the same time. It would be a shame if the internal speakers turned off if it detected a signal on it's RCA outputs. You own this V series and it outputs both at the same time, right?
      It would be nice to have a simple sound setup for a change instead of having to go through an audio-video receiver or soundbar with 2 remotes and having to turn multiple units on/off all the time. I've got this active 12 inch subwoofer with a Auto on and off feature just sitting here so it would be really nice to integrate it directly to the TV. I wish all TVs had an LFE output to give them some extra bass.
      This RCA audio output is really the only thing that's making me look at the Vizio brand. No one else seems to have that.

    Got the TV Friday, pretty good so far, I’ve had good experience with VIZIO. This is my first V-Series TV. Price is honestly surprising for how much the TV can do. I had a TCL TV before getting the VIZIO but to be honest, I can’t really enjoy TCL TVs as much as I can enjoy VIZIO TVs.

      @@gouki290 I'm not sure about this particular generation, I can speak for the previous one. The Switch would look great color wise and all and the Switch doesn't need much since it run any crazy specs like 4K HDR 120Hz. But that can also make it harder to choose. Like when you see old content on an old TV and it looks fine, but that same content looked bad on newer TV. Because of the upscale. Whatever TV you choose for the Switch will have to upscale to 4K, from 1080p or even 900p in games like Breath of the Wild. Vizio upscale decently enough, some people won't even notice. That said, as much as I love Vizio, if you are only gonna run content that will be upscale. Others do a better job. On the budget level, TCL upscale better. Again, most people don't even notice, I'm very sensitive about it. Plus my TVs double as monitor, been on a desk I sit pretty close to it. If you put some space you'll be fine.

    Great deal for its price! However, I wasn't able to see all the available apps ie TH-cam etc., nor was I able to access the free channels. Madison Botsford But you go to the setting and do a reset on the tv and start allllll over and skip your email etc cause u already set it up. Etc. so you’ll go to menu - tv setting - go to system- click for updates. ( if it still doesn’t work then do the steps above again ) then reset - admin - reset to factory settings - I have the Vizio customer service guy walk me through the sets. I was so happy after I cried and gave me 5 stars lol. Hopes this helps. There number is Technical support: 1 (855) 833-3221. And they said you have a warranty and they will ship u a new tv etc. ONLY IF ITS ACTAULKY DAMAGE. You will need the model number on the side of tv it should be on the right side. And by that they see if it’s broken or if it’s not connecting to internet etc. pretty cool sorry for replying late.

    I own this exact model TV, including size, because a more superior 43" TCL with Roku wouldn't fit in my entertainment center by less than an inch, it replaced an older (2015 model) 32" 1080p VIZIO which has the Yahoo app platform. Yet there was a major issue at the beginning & their tech support could not tell me how to make my Roku Ultra or 4K Fire Stick run at 60Hz (Full UHD Color). The techs (two calls of over an hour on hold) told me that 60Hz 'doesn't matter' or 'wasn't important'. This opinion is subjective, I suppose if watching only Hollywood movies shot at 24FPS (30Hz), it's OK. A sporting event and/or using for gaming is a whole different story. This is an issue which should had been covered in this video, it's a simple fix, once learned.
    After two months, found the answer on Reddit, one has to select the port, then change the setting. Why not make this choice shown in the manual or on screen video setup guide? Oh, and the advertising was misleading, it's NOT a true 4K HDR TV on all of the ports, one must choose between having HDMI ARC (version 2.0) on that port, as the top port cannot run whatever device at 4K settings, being HDMI 1.4. Nor would swapping the HDMI 2.0 soundbar on the top (1.4) port work. Therefore, some type of switch or whatever is needed, unless simply using the HDMI ARC port for a HDMI 2.0 device & run the soundbar through the TOSLINK port. Many audio experts says to use HDMI ARC over TOSLINK, although there'll likely be little difference with this TV. (IF the TOSLINK port is truly capable of 5.1 sound). Save the HDMI 1.4 port for a legacy device, such as an HDMI 1.4 Blu-Ray player (mine 'upscales' to 4K). On the other hand, some experts says ALL components has to be HDMI 2.0 or will run at the speed of weakest link in the chain.....so don't know. It's a shame this can be called a true 4K HDR TV with a 1.4 port installed, likely to upsell to a more expensive model. I'm looking to see what class action suits are there for this model, got one for the 2015 VIZIO recently (had to do with advertising cookies). This would (seem to) be more serious. If I were to plug in my 2015 Sony Blu-Ray player in & my 4K Roku & Fire TV downgrades to 1080p (or HDMI 2.0 soundbar doesn't run on the ARC port), it is a potential fraud.
    Bottom line, yes this is an improvement over my older VIZIO TV, yet it's lack of all HDMI 2.0 ports are a major con when two other TV devices are plugged in & want to run a soundbar such as the Yamaha YAS-108 over HDMI ARC. Still, the TV is worth it's price, many more apps & features for less than paid for the 2015 1080p model, the Pluto TV (WatchFree) app built in, one can sign into their Disney Plus & other subscription services, as well as any provided by major cable TV providers (such as the Spectrum app). This costs less than full blown cable, yet there's also some lag (not the fault of the TV) & of course, no DVR. So don't expect a cable provider's app to perform like that of a digital box, oddly have to allow the app to run constant for 24-48 hours when first installed.
    VIZIO should had made it far more easier to set the ports to Full UHD Color. For most other brands, once one port is set, the rest are. This will likely be my last purchase of a VIZIO TV, due to not being a 100% HDR TV (can't have it on the 1.4 port). My guess would be that their more costly models (even the next level up at $100 more) has all HDMI 2.0 ports.
    My final rating of TV, 3 out of 5 stars, a full one being docked due to 'Full UHD Color' being greyed out w/out any instruction on how to fix (I & many others thought the TV was neutered). It's a big deal when using a 4K Roku, Apple TV, 4K Fire Stick, NVIDIA Shield & others which needs these ports to be unlocked. The ARC feature should had been on the HDMI 1.4 port, as it is on my 2015 VIZIO, one of it's two ports are for ARC & know it's not HDMI 2.0. One will have to add some type of switching device to install on the middle HDMI port to have multiple 4K devices, just make sure it's 4K @ 60Hz, not all are created equal. There ARE better smart TV's in the price range ($225-300).

    Having lived with this tv for some time I must point out that the speakers are sub-par at best. The apps fall short and cannot be added to. For instance you may want motortrend or some other app, too bad.
    Also, the guide is not really. You cannot look to see what is coming on, only what IS on. O would like to know what the next movie is that will follow what is currently on. The phone app allows this function and it's free. The tv is hundreds of dollars and you cannot see what's next.
    However, overall I feel like it's the best bang for the buck and the picture is great.

      Kai Fulci What you mean 120 hz?

    • @KaiFulci
      @KaiFulci 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's capable of displaying 120 frames per second at 1080p which is great for gaming. At 4k it can only do 30hz unless you overclock it then it can do 44hz. But i don't game at 4k anyways.

    • @KaiFulci
      @KaiFulci 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Chiron Keller I think in this price range it's hard to beat this tv. The low latency game mode and 120 frames per second at 1080p is great for gaming. It having HDR and 4k is just a bonus to me but at 4k it can only do 30 frames per second which if you wanted to game at 4k would not be acceptable. But 30fps 4k is perfect for just watching youtube/movies on.

    • @KaiFulci
      @KaiFulci 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Chiron Keller Oh well yea. You could probably get a 1080p 60fps tv for dirt cheap.

    If I have a ps4 and replace the regular HDMI cable for a 4K HDMI cable, would I be able to see my game on 4K on the tv ? Or the actual appliance has to be 4K ? Does that even exist ? Like a 4K DVD player ? Because my PS4 is not 4K . I don’t think there is a 4K PS4 .

      This is where a low cost device such as a 4K Fire Stick or Roku at less than $50 comes in, can add more apps, be sure to connect to the middle HDMI port & to unlock Full UHD Color, turn on the TV & move to that device (just don't power it on) & can unlock 4K at 60Hz. Yes, I agree Samsung makes better a better TV!👍

    • @charlestilley2576
      @charlestilley2576 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @John M. Yeah, right next to those 'no-name' TV's & they try to make one think they get a 'real' one!😁 When buying a TV, it's just like a computer or vehicle, check out reviews on the Internet. There'll usually be more than one product guide rating for each model, will cover every size range. For the VIZIO V Series, doesn't matter if getting the 40" model or the largest (75"), the components are all the same. There'll still be that one slower HDMI port (1.4, which my 2015 1080p has) that forces one to choose between a HDMI ARC soundbar or two 4K HDR devices (in my case, Roku Ultra & 4K Fire Stick). If used in the HDMI 1.4 port, if forced to run at 1080p, this TV should NOT be labeled as fully 4K compatible, as I've never seen a recent 4K HDR TV with a backwards compatibility port. Really it's not necessary, because if the device runs at only 1080p, that's what it'll run at, unless it 'upscales' to 4K. That port is the Achilles Heel of this TV.
      There's other TV's in the same price range which are better, one of the TCL Roku models, all of the ports are 4K & Roku Ultra is built in. Meaning a LOT more programming, can add Pluto TV (WatchFree) if desired. WatchFree is a gimmick, can view Pluto via an Internet browser, It's NOT the content of VIZIO. On the other hand, what Roku puts out & they give a LOT at no extra charge, to include 4K programming, at the same price per size. One thing for sure, won't find an HDMI port from 2014 on their TV, it's all HDMI 2.0. And then when calling support to 'unlock' Full UHD Color, they cannot tell one what to do, found out how to on Reddit two months after purchase & it was simple. These must be 'techs' on minimum wage, saying 'it doesn't matter', sure Hollywood movies are shot at 24Hz (30Hz setting on TV), yet sports are best watched at 60Hz or faster. And they say it doesn't matter we don't get what we pay for? Screw this crap & brand! They make nothing themselves, source all components from the lowest bidder, assemble & call it their own.
      This will be the LAST VIZIO TV I'll ever buy, not so much as a gift to someone in need, will spend the extra $10-25 elsewhere.😅

    Any have trouble getting wifi connectivity? Just got the 40" model and the tv had trouble loading up the smart cast

    • @charlestilley2576
      @charlestilley2576 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      May want to ensure the TV is updated there's a newer version of SmartCast released, plus firmware. No issues with wi-fi for me, but the router is in the room right behind it, connected to the 5.0GHz band. May need to move the router (or the TV), adjust the antennas on router (if any) or add a wi-fi repeater if far away. It's best to have a minimum of an AC-1200 router for optimal results, these can be found new on eBay for less than $75, or at a Goodwill/Hospice store for $25 used. Running on the 5.0GHz band means less interference.
      The wi-fi is great on the TV, as well as SmartCast. Had they not included that Flintstone era HDMI 1.4 port & provided clear instructions out of the box on how to enable 'Full UHD Color' on the HDMI ports, I'd had ranked this TV a lot higher. As stated above, will be my last VIZIO TV, and recommend to all who has issues if within the return period to return to retailer for a refund & get a better TV for about the same price (TCL with Roku Ultra built in).
