I am not someone who buys insurance. When a tv does give me issues, I either get it fixed or buy a new one depending on the cost of the repair. Insurance is a waste of money if you never need it, but very valuable if your tv starts having issues prematurely. No, as per vizio, the ports are not high bandwidth and will not support 4k120. Only the p series will have that feature. They are calling the ports hdmi 2.1 though. Really, they are more like hdmi 2.05.
@@Caraxes_RoguePrince Its a Native 60hz panel...its uses software to imitate 120 its called "dynamic motion rate 120" a true 120hz 4k TV would cost above 1,000
I think that happens with most tvs. It is helpful to control the light in the room for the best viewing experience . That's why movie theaters are blacked out. This TV easily allows you to adjust the picture it takes only seconds -- a couple of clicks. My room does not have blinds or curtains so I use "Calibrated" in the daytime and and "Calibrated Dark"for the darkened room at night. There are a couple of other options, including one to wildly over brighten for a fairyland sort of affect...which might be cool for a few movies that lend themselves to that, like Avatar. Vizio has produced multiple short videos to explain how to use most of it's key features, including one on how to adjust the picture and why you might want to. It is super short and clear (I watched it in English, not sure what other languages they have.) I think I watched these videos on the Target.com website down at the bottom of the product listing. ++cj
Vizio isn't known for their brightness. If you are in a bright room, a tcl or hisense is a better budget choice. Vizio has a lot better image quality and colors compared to the two big chinese brands, just not brightness. I have mine in the basement (though a 65" m8) and it looks awesome with Dolby vision. Way better than my friends hisense 9 series. But no where near as bright. If you want iq in a dark area, get a vizio. Don't get me wrong, Samsung and LG are amazing TVs if you get the right one. Otherwise they are nothing special. We have 2 Samsung Q series TVs and a 7 series at my work. I LOVE the Samsung picture quality, but cannot justify the price. I have an E55-e1 "Smartcast monitor" (no tuner) and I love it. at Walmart, I had my choice of a 50" LG that cost about $50 more and a Samsung that is about $250 more. I chose the Vizio because I liked the picture quality and didn't want to spend a lot. Although I LOVE Roku devices, most Roku TVs are cheap and lousy picture quality (Hisense and TCL and Onn and Phillips etc). Best Buy didn't hae what I wanted in my price range (less than $400). I am pleased with my Visio V series TV.
Most of them do have that option. Of course it’s not called that. I always turn it off. I want my content to look like the creators intended it to look.
It entirely depends on the tvs you are comparing. My 65 inch m series looks a lot better than my buddies budget lg 65 inch. But my room is dark. On just image quality alone though, dollar for dollar, you really can't beat vizio. I really like tcl too, but, there is a panel lottery. You may get a good one or you may get a bad one. If you don't mind returning the tv a few times to get a decent panel, tcl is also an option.

Being able to decode Dolby vision and having the brightness and color gamut to actually display it properly are very two different things. I wish Dolby would hold manufacturers accountable or the words start to not mean anything. Its like when imax or thx started watering down their shit. It used to mean something. Now you can probably buy a cell phone that is imax and thx certified. Its bs.

Janelee - Since you wrote this is 2 weeks ago I assume you have your headphone workaround but I am responding in case someone else has same issue: This product does not have blue tooth...it also does not have a standard 3.5 headphone jack. huh? Yes, these dual lacks resulting in a huge feature drawback; so silly of Vizio.. I almost did not buy for this reason. The on board sound is good but they are hoping to sell soundbars? To me headphones are not an alternative to soundbars...they have their own reason to be needed. Options: 1) Check out the Optical Jack headphones suggestion by "Love What You Do" in the comments above. 2) What I decided to do was to purchase jack converter pieces to convert the Stereo Out to create my own 3.5 jack. One piece is being shipped so I will delete this if I do not find the result good. (Bought these two pieces from Office Depot - totaling about $12 expense to try to keep my existing headphone collection.) ++cj
I actually just bought it Friday specifically for my ps5. Tbf, there's not too many games that support 4k res just yet (I think there's really only one) but you'll definitely get the upgrade of colors and refresh rates. I notice minor details that I couldn't notice on a Standard 1080 TV... Also, at the price point you can't really argue. I've had several Vizio TVs over the years and have nothing but good experiences.
@@danheyman5460 yes it handles it very well, i believe it has a 120 hz refresh rate, which is more than ample enough to handle anything the ps5 throws at it. So far, I am extremely pleased with the TV.. P.S. Sorry for the kind of late response 😅
@@Critheism Technically, you can call a port hdmi 2.1 if it meets part of the standard. This tv does have hdmi 2.1 ports BUT they won't support 4k120. The ports are not entirely compliant. So, yes it does have the 2.1 ports, but no that doesnt mean it's a good tv for a next gen console if you want the higher refresh rates to work. Because they won't.
Television sets sold new in USA, still have a tuner. Some of the ultra cheap (monitors) they sell inline, Do not have a digital or analog tuners. I like and appreciate, being able to pick up local channels for free. So buyer beware. Some sets you find on line, are not equipped with a tuner.
Not always true - friend of mine had to be shown that his Vizio 70" does not have threaded port connection for coax cable,, that tells you right off there is no built in tuner. Now you have no option for over the air free Tv - now forced to add tuner. Cheers ,, so always look on the back to make sure.
@@MrCoach1957 That isn't really an answer. The usb port is designed to have a stick with pictures and videos on it. If you need to have multiple sticks, there are better solutions, like a nas. If you are trying to use it for power, even with multiple ports, it probably wouldn't work. It is a data port and the whole system probably had 500ma to share. You probably could run a hub with a chromecast and a memory stick. If you want me to try, I will.

Why wont the firestick 4k work on this tv. I have second generation firestick wich works great..bought a firestick 4k it wont work. Is there anything i can do ?
What do you mean it won't work? Don't you just need to select the hdmi section where the firestick is connected?
Did u fix it?
Something about vizio tvs that keep firestick 4k from working. Exchanged my vizio for a samsung..works great
Ur fire stick may need an update... my firestick works fine
Every time I turn it on thier is no audio until I go into watch free and then go back
Try resetting the TV or unplug for 30 seconds
Change your setting to HDMI 1 now it will go to that every time you turn it on and you will have audio also
Hey its hubbard park at 2:06!
I am try to set my size on my tv. Can you help me?
Bought the Toshiba 50 inch 4K and it’s horrible. Gonna return and check this one out 👀
How’s the sound
Out of the box its decent but Once you adjust the audio its good.
It’s a good TV except for the light bleeding on the edges. I guess you kinda expect that for the price tho
What's light bleeding because I think mines has that .
Wacko Specialist Basically it’s where there’s an area by the edges where it’s brighter than the rest of the screen. I think most of these have it
Yea mine does but a big line going down the tv . I guess Im just going to live with it
Wacko Specialist Yeah that’s how mine is too
There’s a setting to adjust that in the advanced section
Can this tv use smooth motion??
Please, who knows how to download apps on the screen?
Being able to decode Dolby vision and having the brightness and color gamut to actually display it properly are very two different things. I wish Dolby would hold manufacturers accountable or the words start to not mean anything.
Its like when imax or thx started watering down their shit. It used to mean something. Now you can probably buy a cell phone that is imax and thx certified. Its bs.
How can i play 3d movies on this tv?
Excellent Review 👍
Just Got One
Question ; Might I Possibly be able to use my
Bluetooth Earbuds ?
If so, I don't know how 😏
(if Not, is there a place I can plug in a earpiece - as in, earphone jack ? - Older previous TV, RCA, had one)
Would appreciate Any Info 😊

Can you get NBA League Pass?
Janelee - Since you wrote this is 2 weeks ago I assume you have your headphone workaround but I am responding in case someone else has same issue:
This product does not have blue tooth...it also does not have a standard 3.5 headphone jack. huh? Yes, these dual lacks resulting in a huge feature drawback; so silly of Vizio.. I almost did not buy for this reason. The on board sound is good but they are hoping to sell soundbars? To me headphones are not an alternative to soundbars...they have their own reason to be needed.
Options:
1) Check out the Optical Jack headphones suggestion by "Love What You Do" in the comments above.
2) What I decided to do was to purchase jack converter pieces to convert the Stereo Out to create my own 3.5 jack. One piece is being shipped so I will delete this if I do not find the result good. (Bought these two pieces from Office Depot - totaling about $12 expense to try to keep my existing headphone collection.)

Is this good for gaming ???
Your going to need rca to 3.5mm adapter for the headphones
I am having trouble with getting the airplay to connect. Did you have any issues when setting up?
I have trouble with that too. Not with that tv but I have a hd Vizio tv but I can’t connect AirPlay either
My son just connected AirPlay from my iPhone 11 and my 6000 plus photos and videos were on the Vizio!
I can´t watch local channels. Could you tell me how?
You’ll need cable or an antenna. I believe I put a link in the description below the video.
Awesome review!! Thank you!!
Does it have Sling TV?!?!?
Is it good for ps5??
How I can browse on it?
I browse with my laptop connected by an HDMI cable. ++cj
Is this tv good for a playstation 5?
I actually just bought it Friday specifically for my ps5. Tbf, there's not too many games that support 4k res just yet (I think there's really only one) but you'll definitely get the upgrade of colors and refresh rates. I notice minor details that I couldn't notice on a Standard 1080 TV... Also, at the price point you can't really argue. I've had several Vizio TVs over the years and have nothing but good experiences.
@@venomenace does the tv handle the motion from the ps5 well? Are you happy with it?
@@danheyman5460 yes it handles it very well, i believe it has a 120 hz refresh rate, which is more than ample enough to handle anything the ps5 throws at it. So far, I am extremely pleased with the TV.. P.S. Sorry for the kind of late response 😅
Does it have Bluetooth
hey does this tv support hdmi 2.1?
Some people are saying yes, others are saying no, it seems like a mystery lol
I have this tv and im almost positive its hdmi 2.0.
No
@@Critheism Technically, you can call a port hdmi 2.1 if it meets part of the standard. This tv does have hdmi 2.1 ports BUT they won't support 4k120. The ports are not entirely compliant. So, yes it does have the 2.1 ports, but no that doesnt mean it's a good tv for a next gen console if you want the higher refresh rates to work. Because they won't.
@@herranton next gen can play 4k at 60 very well
My phone has to have 4K to see your 4K right?
Resolution is hard to see on a small screen, but it makes a difference on a big screen.
Yup
I just purchased mine, on sale for $298.00. I needed an update.
Not always true - friend of mine had to be shown that his Vizio 70"
does not have threaded port connection for coax cable,,
that tells you right off there is no built in tuner.
Now you have no option for over the air free Tv - now forced to add tuner.
Cheers ,, so always look on the back to make sure.
why just one USB input?
Why would you need more? Most people won't even use one?
@@herranton i>m not most people....
Nice amigo
Price?

can this tv run 4k and 120 hz at the same time
unlikely. depends on whether it has an hdmi2.1 port
@@alosha4321 it does
Anybody know how to turn on HDR on this TV
Depends on what console you are on it usually does it automatically.
what version HDMI? cmon man
2.1 I believe.
Yeah I believe it’s 2.1. Thinking about getting this for my PS5 and Series X
@@slick_grimes7121 same you think this tv worth it?
As per vizio, the ports do NOT support 4k60. Don't flame me, vizio said it.
This the cheapest hdmi 2.1 tv for my next gen gamers
Yea I bought it for the ps4, it’s pretty good
you missed the reason that I view this video....HDMI 2.1??
Yes it has hdmi 2.1 but native 60hz
Does this tv really have a refresh rate of 120?
Does this tv have hdmi 2.1?
Yes, only on the HDMI1 port though.
