Turtles in Time (arcade) speed run in

After finding some new strats and improving at the game, I came back to save 2 minutes over my previous run. Sub 19 is possible and I may just go for it, but at this point greater risk and luck are required.

Looking at the Arcade version all these years later. I can honestly say the animations were better than the SNES version. But the home version had enhanced music and combos.

I also appreciate the sound quality with these tunes on the SNES version more than the arcade systems sounds

The SNES port changed so much (most are changes I really don't like) for the sake of change; not all were really necessary. Without going in-depth, basically the port is a completely different game with the Turtles coat of paint on it, lol.

@@AdrianTepez exactly lmao- I would've loved to play the arcade version- ...Also the snes port.. Only had one thing i liked and it was the addition of slash as a boss and the technodrone level- BUT this arcade version seems ab 100% faster to speedrun😂

Thanks! The reverse shoulder is done by pressing back, then within 2 frames you press both buttons on the same frame. It also doubles as a movement tool so you can use it for managing your position and manipulating enemy positions.

I usually die once in the 1st turtle arcade game, on a good game I don't die at all, this game, ALWAYS 9 lives, [on the 4 player version] I noticed there is extra pizzas in this version, shredder and leatherhead are the toughest bosses in this version, ssoo attack leatherhead slower is the key, the back attack on tokka and rahzar was interesting too. how are you doing the shoulder ram so fast? I thought you need to start running to do those attacks? I'll try forward forward right now, if not, then I'm lost on how you're doing that. I've recently been using Michaelangelo so this video was perfect to watch.

im late to the party, but how do you dash manually in the arcade version? I can only seem to do it by hold either left or right.

There is no manual run in the original arcade version.

How do you do the shoulder slam multiple times? You have to hold the joystick for a second to do it but you made it instantly many times

It's a different move than the one you do while running, it just happens to share the same sprites and animation.

Ah ok . Thanks! so this is what you did against robot krang. I didn't know about this mechanic. The same with throws. I don't know if are random or can be triggered manually. Insane gameplay btw!

It drops the rank, which significantly reduces enemy count. Since stage 7 is an auto scroller, I lose no time for it while cutting a massive amount of time off the last stage

ok I tried again, I'm down to finishing the game on 6 lives, i keep waiting for shredder throws that giant hand at me, but if I get hit by that i'm fucked, that jumpkick and shoulder ram are the 2 moves I need to really turn the tide in this game.

I don't think there's a human being that can 1cc this game in any other dificulty besides easy, the "progressive" dificulty on normal and above get ridiculous from the sewer onward (20+ enemies on screen at all times).

It's a speed run. This is the fastest difficulty.
