How did you remove the platform from tabletop? They are stuck together out of box

Hi, sorry for the delay. The platform has little grooves that you can press to loosen it & pop it out. Hope this helps!

Haha they could have! In the end I gave it a solid WHACK and punched the middle. Being gentle just got my pinched fingers.
