These guys are amazing. I lived in Japan and the pressure there to conform is intense in a way that is kind of hard to understand if you haven't had much experience with the culture. These guys are really sticking out their necks and letting the freak flag fly. Incredibly creative music. It's no wonder they had to leave Japan to get noticed.

Saw them open for Khruangbin last Saturday. The lights are all dim and I'm like "There's five guys on stage with effing black wigs like Khruangbin wears, what is this shit?" Lights turn on and it was actually Asians with long black hair. Wild, wild performance. Really good.

Just listened to house on the tall grass. An amazing album from an amazing band. Glad to hear psychedelic music is getting a resurgence with some modern twists.
the jam at the end of fluffy kosmisch is amazing and they 100% know it themselves, the looks on their faces say it all

i've been avoiding listening to these guys because I purposefully missed their show in town a year ago and here I am i can't resist them
I just got recommended this video, which led me to checking their website.... where I found that they are currently on a final tour and going on "indefinite hiatus" at the end of 2022. They will be back in Seattle in 5 days, and I will be there for sure. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found this now, and not a week from today...

when listening to that solo around 6:15 on the studio recording... i NEVER realized that was a wah'd sitar. really cool sound. they're music is so uncluttered and full of sound at the same time, love it.

Just saw these guys in a tiny, cramped little theater in Arcata, CA. Utterly mind blowing performance! And there must have been 40 or so pedals on that stage!
Started listening to them a month ago and drove 3 hours from New Hampshire to Burlington to see them last night. Flawless performance. Here they were a little shakier but it's hard to keep so many pedals under control every night.
I just discovered this band two nights ago, coming from King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard....and holy shit, I LOVE Kikagaku Moyo! I cannot get high enough! I have been listening to nothing else for 48 hours. My soul is flying.
Saw them a year ago in june, under the full moon. Wonderful musicians, wonderful people.
Their new album is amazing! Dripping Sun is probably my favourite song that they've released. Saw them three times last year and definitely recommend everyone checking them out live

Good, good band. A different sound from what is popular, even on independent scene, and very much appreciated. In some parts, it reminded me something like "East Asia Tinariwen".

This shit is off the charts. Gad damn! That rhythm section is a force and that sitar... One of those live bands though, which is so rare these days.

Wow thanks, just listened to their track Camo. I'm sure you know of Harsh Toke and maybe Fuzz as well. I haven't seen too many psych bands but on the heavier side seeing Fuzz in a forest was so good. I'll keep my eyes peeled for anyone coming over here in England.

when i talked to Go during their first US tour he mentioned the only thing you can get in Japan is marijuana. at that time none of them had even tried mushies or other. i was surpised, but they smoked a bit & got rowdy munchies. sent my buddy on a candy run, he brought back abt 5 pounds of candy & they devoured it ferociously! damndest thing.
