Thanks for the kind words! The Corax is a great harness and has a lot of versatility too. Both Trevor and I have one and have been very happy with its performance. Have fun!

Hey man. Love my Corax too! Would love to see a video on the best belay devices for indoor climbing/beginners/progressing climbers.

Great! Glad you're loving the Petzl Corax Harness. Both Trevor and I have that harness and it works great. Great idea on the belay devices! We have a few that we use although we primarily use the Petzl GriGri plus. Check out our review here: th-cam.com/video/DjuG-wiAk0U/w-d-xo.html. You might also try the GriGri 2. In the meantime, I'll talk with Trevor and we'll see about getting a video together for a comparison. BTW, let us know if there is other gear you're interested in. Later!

I am a total newbie at this, just bought this harness and I planning to saddle hunt from it.
Appreciate the review, hoping it works well for me. Will it work with a lineman belt on the sides just to keep me secure while climbing?

      Trent Bever,
I’m actually going to have to defer to the manufacturer on that one. I’m not too experienced with lineman equipment and wouldn’t want to give poor advice. If you find out, please let us know!

Hi I'm looking to buy the petzl corax mainly for via ferrata's. My only problem is the sizing. It only comes in 2 sizes and my legs are 55 so size 1 but my waist with clothes is 97 so size 2... Now I don't know what size to pick or just look for another harness..

Probably best to visit a local climbing store and try them on. Since everyone is different, the only real way to know is to try them on. Trevor and I both wear size 1's. The belt and the leg loops adjust but the only real way to know is to try them on. Let us know what you find out and good luck! We both really like this harness for its intended use.

That's nonsense, falling is forbidden in mountaineering. The harness is only there to save your life if you do fall. It doesn't make sense to buy a padded harness that is unnecessarily heavy and soaks up water.

Yeah I'd say it's definitely not the best for climbing. Not super comfortable to hang in and pretty heavy/bulky in comparison to other harnesses. I got my newer version for free from a bouldering comp so can't complain much, especially since I don't sport climb too often with it. It's versatile enough that I can when I actually do go out, and I can let my friends use it as well since everything is adjustable on it.

Yeah I received mine like 1 week ago, and I think it's really too heavy, so I just keep it if I need it for my friends who could try rock climbing, and I ordered another one
