Probably one of the most impressive things I’ve seen on this app in a while… however, I’m wondering: how does one calculate a route like that? I’m sure there are meteorological reports about thermals & winds but how do you plan your route with this information? And how accurate can it even be?
Hey Vicky, The thermal forecast for this day was good. Also not a lot of wind. I've flown this exact alpine crossing in the past already so i knew it would work. The route planning is done with the fact that southerly ridges work best on midday. In the morning hills facing east work best, in the evening it's hills facing west. In the end forecast is one thing and reality is another but in this case it worked great:)
Nice!
Geiler Flug, geiler Sound! Nice🤙🏻🤙🏻
Einfach nur schee! 💙
Einfach nur Wow.
