Interesting mapping and great knowledge, though I fear the Ming Dynasty’s strength was greatly overestimated provided the varying instances of intrigue and scandal observed in the late Ming dynasty. In this era, Spain was at the near complete peak of its power, combined with the fact that shortly before annexing Portugal, Portugal defeated the Ottomans and essentially cleared the way for the Indian Ocean to be exploited by Iberia, though in this instance it’s likely the Dutch would side against the Spanish and not with them as they are the wild card that, as we know, redrew the history of Indonesia. The Ming dynasty had also abandoned naval tradition in near entirety, and it did not look likely that having Spain ravage the areas of China most known for naval production would be conducive to outcomes where the Ming could assemble a fleet to counter invade Spanish Formosa or even the Philippines.

@@Browniera_ This alt history scenario is too unrealistic. The logistics to transport an army large enough to invade the Ming from Europe to Asia is not possible at the time.
