    This is a very quick and easy crochet along where we make a mushroom chapstick holder. You'll need: worsted weight yarn in colours of your choice; size G 4.00 mm hook, tapestry needle and a stitch marker if you use'em.
    This pattern is available in my Comic Convention Best Sellers book on Amazon.
    You can also download a free written pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr...

    Great video! Finished my first lip balm holder. Will make more for gifts. Thanks 😊 Will try to post photos once I figure out how.

    Thankyou for the pattern it's very simple! If people are having a hard time following then they're not ready for this project. I'd focus on practicing stitches, increases and decreases.

    What a cute idea. I love how the cap raises up for access to the chapstick lid. I'm always leaving my chapstick in whichever coat I wore last for the appropriate weather, so it would be nice to have it around my neck, like my house keys. Thanks for the video.

      Thanks Charlie! And I think they'd make cute keychains too. As for me and chapstick, I have about 6 on the go at all times - in my purse, each coat, the bathroom, bedroom and front room... lol!

    I just made my first mushroom. Took half hour to make top and bottom only because I kept second guessing myself. Took me an hour to make 7 French knots....😮. I used a size 6 hook so I only did 7 rows the 8th I just slipped stitched. Now to play with some more yarn and variables. Thanks for the tutorial beautiful. Easy to make and follow along. Will be nice Christmas presents also. I'll be busy

    is there a way to increase the size of it? to hold something bigger than chapstick

    • @FatLadyCrochet
      @FatLadyCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If you use thicker yarn, like a bulky or super bulky and then go up in hook size (9 mm with super bulky is good), you should be able to get a bigger one. How big are you wanting it to be?

      Or you could use the yarn your usesing and in the base of the stem just add another row then continue as normal and crochet on tbe back loop to make the wall cover

    Does each round on the cap end in an increase? Teacher has a great teaching voice BUT she is crocheting way to fast to understand. Slow down please!

      Yes it ends in a increase. Utube gives you a button to use to slow videos and speed them up. It looks like a gear. I hope this helps usually in top right corner.

    I can not begin to follow your video because you do not clearly explain. I don’t understand what you mean by stitching into something, I only know how to create a chain. Disappointed

      Literally can’t even see what she’s doing because she’s moving fast, her camera is blurry, and the white yarn blends in with the white page behind it
