Honestly hope his character arc is growing to care about other things and becoming wiser. Haven't really seen an arc like that in Jojo's yet.
Can't wait to see Jodio's first actual fight because it'll be good insight into how he really thinks and reacts during life and death situations. He really needs to go up against someone or something that makes him and his stand look like chumps.
I'm in the same boat, I'm curious to see how his stand functions indoors and how he levels up after finally being in danger.
My biggest question is who will the big bad of the part be and how will Jodio's stand break the laws of the universe. I imagine something similar to part 5 happening where the gang leader ends up being the main threat but I'm not sure what mechanisms has to do with it all.
I hope the main villain is an extremely corrupt police officer. Someone seen as a hero, but who is actually a merciless scumbag. As for the evolution of how he uses his stand, I would be okay with it staying somewhat tethered to his reality, but I can't wait to see what insanity Araki comes up with.
As for Mechanisms, I'm certain it's just a kid talking about life like he has the answer to everything. It seems like he's explaining something kind of simple to understand like hard work, luck and creating opportunities as a law of the nature. Most likely to make himself sound cooler and smarter than he actually is, but it fits in with how he decided to begin telling his story, so it seems deep. I guess we'll have to wait and see if there is anything supernatural to it at all though.
@@TheLostCrsuader21 Maybe the story is about breaking mechanisms. Its very much like Araki to flip the protagonists world on its head.
My guess is the rain drops are actually rotating infinitely fast and he can open portals or some crazy shit like that. I wanna see what logic breaking stand the villain will have. Thats always my favorite part.

I am willing to fight anyone that disagrees with me on this but, I think Araki chose the name "Jodio" to bring back dio every 2 parts
part 1 dio, part 3, dio again, part 5 dios son, part 7 alternate dio and part 9 jojo dio

My main hope is that Jodio will be the first Jojo to defeat the main villain with stand abilities that were established since the beginning of the part.

@@liamicha110 I honestly doubt that we have seen all his ability can do, my bet is that his rain has a range depending on something external, that would make sense and I think it would be both really powerful and dope, but knowing Araki he will probably come up with something weirder

I would really like to see what happens to Jodio after he gets filthy rich, who knows maybe he would become something like Giorno not seeing the point to sell drugs or maybe not- But I am exited for the animation sometime in the future! But right know Im heated to see part 7 because it will definatley be awasome once animated, lets just pray to Jesus it would be good like the manga-
But in the end, I think the OG Universe is my top favourite as it holds a special place in my heart with all the parts ;-;
My hopes for part 9 is that my 32 years old self lives long enough to read the ending.

Personally, I think his entire goal is similiar to Leorio's from Hunter x Hunter, having a secondary goal, *money* . And a primary goal, for which all the money is required- Idk, probably something with his family, get Dragona surgery, something in that direction.

I mean most of the crew hasn’t shown fighting prowess yet, but I feel they might, sure the most brutal thing we’ve seen was “Smooth Operator” show some cop’s face get temporarily messed up, but “Sticky Fingers” was able to unzip somebody temporarily, it looks brutal when somebody sees Zucchero in the Torture Dance OOC, but it’s also actually brutal when Pesci got cleaved like his namesake when Bruno released the zippers while unzipped. I feel “Smooth Operator” is capable of body horror, whereas “The Huetle” might have harmful attraction capabilities, and “The Matte Kudasai” can level the playing field of a gun fight if somebody wishes to level it.

Can somebody disabuse me of the idea that Jodio is the guy in the memory of Gappy? They kinda look similar, and this would imply another power of Soft and Wet's Go Beyond. We have seen stans tell the future before.

So far i don't feel as interested as previous parts, but i do hope this isn't just a part 5 remake and the plot involves more than just an independent GTA type of story.
Hopefuly a bigger connection to Jojolion and Steel Ball Run by the half end, it would suck to end Part 9 after like 8-10 years and have little to nothing involving the previous parts and being more of a side story just like Part 5, and only then follow up with Part 10 involving SBR and Jojolion story elements, like Part 6.
We have a short life man, Jojolion alone lasted 10 years, we're not vampires like Araki to catch up🗿

I do and don't get why people think this is the last part of JoJo but i think It'd make more sense for a part 10 to round it out but it might just be cope/ wait psych degree please psychology video on any character you want i really love the subject

Personally i kinda hate this guy already, i hate this character because he feels like a weird OC and a parody of a Gen Z Sigma boy
At the same time he's surely entertaining to read since it's impossible to know what is coming from this guy, so at the same time i like him, but honestly Part 9 doesn't feel like JoJo for me, it feels more like a JoJo Breaking Bad inspired Fanfiction that it's hilarious but that's it.
I'm interested in what Araki will make with him, i just wish that at very least they keep Jodio an irredeemable asshole to the end
Yeah, I don't think he needs to be outright heroic either. I would like to see some growth for sure, but I like that his priorities are he and his family only right now. I'm interested to see how he handles his relationships with whoever the main cast turns out to be since he doesn't feel the need to make friends.

Something in my gut tells me that this will be similar to a GTA story, but with a unique twist. I imagine that Jodio at first only sees the world as a series of mechanisms with people being used by them instead of taking the potential and using it. Then he will see the wider affect of what his mechanism does to the people he cares about and to society as a whole with his goal of being rich, and what he needs to do to combat any opposing mechanism, which in this case, is the law, with corruption seeping within. I do think that the main villain will be a well reserved person with a corrupt sense of nobility (anti-Johnathan) whose staged themselves in a high position of the law, like a judge, a well known attorney/lawyer, or a high respected officer. Furthermore they believe to use the mechanism to uphold their self-righteous cause to make the world a better place, when in reality their making it worse without realizing it due to their arrogance or devout sense of authority. Heck make their powers related to oil since water and oil don't mix and would be a reference to the US's gas problems it faced for the past while, and it being a symbol for bureaucratic structures. At least that's how I would do it.

maybe not a descendant of diego himself, but his dad. maybe it's some sort of extramarital affair dario had after he abandoned diego and his mom, said "screw this" and had another kid. so even if it's not diego directly, this option could still explain why jodio has that "evil" brando blood from somewhere.

I don’t think it’s as organized as that. Sure Johnny was alternate Johnathan in part 7, but we had alternate Jotaro, Josuke and Joseph all in part 8. I’m not really sure why Araki has made the decisions he has dealing with these characters though tbh.
Also, I would be really surprised if we got a part 10, but I guess it depends on how long 9 is and if Araki plans on retiring afterward. He’s already in his 60s and if part 9 lasts 10 years too, I would be shocked if he doesn’t. Personally, I wouldn’t chose to be working then, but that’s just me
I mean to be fair, araki did state at one point that being a mangaka was his dream so I reckon that there is a decent chance of getting a part 10

It keeps saying Dragona is the older BROTHER but she is most definitely a girl so what's up with that?
In the first chapter, Jodio calls Dragona his brother several times and when he's introducing them, he says that they get injections and such. So as of right now, Dragona is a feminine presenting male. That's at least the way it's been translated and I don't speak Japanese, so that's what I'm going with.

One though that i've been cooking up is that maybe we're taking the fact he is Giorno's counterpart to literally. Like instead of him being a Joestar born from Dio he is a Joestar from villianous origin, if that makes sense
So my theory is that Jodio's father is a rock human or related to the rock humans in some notable way
His dad definitely could be a rock human, I think there is evidence to support that theory. Rock humans typically don't seek out social relationships or fall in love with humans, so it would make sense that Jodio's father wasn't in the picture.

Now that you mention it, I actually don't think human women can have kids with a rock human male, but human men can have kids with rock women. I could be wrong, because it has been a while since I've read Jojolion, but I'm pretty sure that is how it works.

Lol yeah I feel you on that last part. I think the theory still sounds good and Araki isn't above retconning. I'm pretty sure there are some retcons in the later parts of part 8 about rock humans as well, but I don't want straight up give any spoilers since you haven't finished it yet

Let’s be real, there are no bad Joestars however you can tell which ones are better written. Can anyone tell me Giorno’s personality besides being stoic and being outshined by Bruno in his own story.
Giorno is basically a combination of Dio and Jonathan greatest traits. He inherited Dio's ruthlessness being the first JoJo to willing to kill human opponents when they were beaten. For Jonathan it was kindness/charisma with how he manage to befriend the entire crew in under 7 Days. But his most prominent trait is his resolve, the ability to make decision decisively with no hesitation.
