In this video I head out to Dallas, Texas to link up with the DFW crew. This is just the beginning to an absolutely INSANE series. I got to pilot this beautiful Ducat Panigale V4S that has a ECU flash, Austin Racing Slip On Exhaust and air filter upgrade. I REALLY enjoyed my time riding with the crew. We hit the famous Dallas tunnels to do some SMACKDOWNS.

Do you always use the quick shift ? Of switch between clutching amd quick shift.
Had more than a few issues with my 1299, including the truly bizarre coolant line routing (almost impossible to access) and plastic coolant parts

~I SPEAK FOR ALL BRANDS MAKES AND MODELS..
--} bigger the engine the more opportunity for breakdown.
~two cylinders = two carburetors = two exhaust
~4 cylinders = 4 carbs = 4 exhaust
In the eighties we had the old carbs and luckily me ol 650 only had two.. Most of me mates were beefed up to 4cyl. This also meant that when it came time for they repairs...= 4 x $$¢¢¢
4x the parts(plugs, gaskets)
4x the wait (if you pay a shop)
I did 90% of my own repairs but only spent half the money and took half the time. Way more reliable due to simplicity.

I topped out at a meager 138ish (86cx650) and then would wave as they went by LOL..
Shaft drive torque pulln power poppies like to light block to block though absolute City killer then
the V4S and R are an over kill for weekend track day riders like me, and definitely and over kill for the street. They are a torture rack on the street. I do about 30 track days a year on my V2 Pani (i trade my v4 for it because it's just too much bike) My street bike is the V2 Bayliss and it's wonderful.

You should get the Ducati Panigale V4R. Yes. It will be high maintenance, but it will sound and feel like no other bike on the market. Also, I'm sure it will retain its value if you keep up with its maintenance. The only thing I don't like about it is that stupid "1" they have plastered all over it!
Lmaooo. Ohlins electronic suspension/200hp/Brembo brakes/electronics straight out of WSBK….and this bike (for this guy and 97.2% of its owners) will always have 2.5” of tire that will never actually touch the asphalt. You’ll get more out of that V2 than the people on the street using 0.02% of the modern superbikes.

I recently purchased the V2 Bayliss. I was trying to decide between it and the V4. I just like to ride around on the weekends and I don't go to the track, so I mainly went for a mix of looks and comfort. I feel like I made the right choice for me. I do love the V4 though.
I'm with you on that but I traded in my 2021 V2 in Alpine color bought a car and then ended up going back to get the v4s Ducati I said it's the last one I'm going to buy. But the v4r is tempting. And I did consider the bayliss edition but I'd already ordered a v4s by the time I saw it
v4 is actually more comfortable and easier to ride at lower speeds around town. v2 bayliss is my favorite ducati though.

I LOVED my V4 but I hated actually riding the damn thing. On the track it was awesome and in canyons it was awesome. On the way to either of those places? absolutely miserable. I put 16k miles on mine and had a blast but the constant burns on my calves through my leathers and absurd heat just took all the fun out of any regular riding. It isn't made to commute and it has plenty of power, but the same can be said about every other bike in it's class that is cheaper and more enjoyable to be on.

Both are great bikes but the v4 is a better bike .
I was thinking of buying the r1m but I was a bit hesitant and they sold out . They’re not as easy to find . I ended up getting the 2023 v4s
SP2 all day but a V4S is more than enough for anyone. The V4S is my dream bike anyway so yeah....

Yeah, my uncle has a 999. Kept his R6 also because of it's unreliability. Tracked the R6, never the Ducati and the thing still needs repair. What's the point of a bike if you can't ride it?
So much work making such beautiful bikes but they haven't managed to make them reliable.
Was cautioned by my entire motorcycle family about buying a Ducati. I listened and bought a Street Triple over a Monster. It was wonderful until I messed it up 😂
I'd Definitely get a Aprilia if anything else but my zx10r but I'm team green for life but not a fan of the 2021 zx10r 2011 to 2015 are good 2016 to 2020 are the best

Great video bro, by now after you got the 1299 you must know that Ducatis are not for everybody you must know them very well, I have been with them for 25 years now and currently own 2 of them including my V4s, this thing is the most aggressive bike put there bow and extremely fast, also big difference compare with the previous V-twin panigales, very smoth and not a high maintenance anymore, whichever you decide to get you will be happy 👍👍👍BTW what city are you?? The highway is free of traffic and ready for a bike ❤️

@triumphhant more modern and more advanced technology, totally different, the only things that fail are electrical issues because of new technologies, I own 2 V4s and no big issues at all and reliable

I got a 2021 V4S with full titanium Akra but it is winter here now :(

Which on is cheaper to maintain ducati or aprilia
Aprilia by far. Also the v4 doesn't have cruise control but the rsv4 does. All in all I think you get more bang for the buck with aprilia. Ducati might be a little better but it's so miniscule that i chose an rsv4. Maintenance on ducati is absurd almost 2x the price as aprilia.

Anyone can go fast but if you cant handle torque that will make the back tire over take the front on dry bitumen you shouldn't be on a Ducati... Ive got an old 96 supersport, only about 90HP from memory but it bites in the corners so hard that sometimes my buddies think I've been abducted by aliens hahaha. It does a fantastic quarter mile on the back wheel too hehe

The new ducatis are nice imo, but i love the longer rear end. I own an 1198s and love it so much. Wish they would bring back the longer tail section.

Nice video but why do you like stopping on the side of the road/stoplights very often to film? It's actually surprising you do that considered most of these car drivers are totally oblivious in most aspects of driving.. I've never met a happy Ducati owner after owning any Ducati for over a year , personally I wouldn't take a 30k+ bike to the track for any reason

I am on my third Ducati and I am happy? 2015 Monster 821 stripe* > 2021 Monster 937 plus > 2022 Panigale V2 Bayliss. Still have the last two (*sold)
