Nintendo ass though mainly cause what they charge for the games like get an Xbox next time. More games,more apps' more space, cheaper prices for the same games on Nintendo,better fps, better graphics,and it's easier to add freinds, join parties,and play with friends.All for around $170 for an Xbox1 and for the new series x an absolute beast of a console $400

@@jonny9398 How many times do I have to say this, the switch lite is *NOT* made for local multiplayer!! Why would you ever need to buy a pair of extra joycons or a kickstand? And who wants to play games like Pokémon let's go and Just Dance with Pokémon sword and shield coming out soon anyway? This device is perfect for ONLINE play.
This is better in a million ways, instead of buying new joycons and dealing with all their problems, you and your friends can all just get your own lite and it's better that way since you all get your own screen and you don't all have to share one tiny screen.
And anyways, it plays basically all the same games as the regular switch. The lite also has the exact same specs as the switch in portable mode. It's a great money saver, it's $100 cheaper and it has basically the same functionality as it's $300 counterpart.
@@fbi1422 Until you realize the controllers will eventually fail, analogue drift or a stuck button or a button that just doesn't work anymore... you have to replace the entire console versus replacing a single controller.
The system is lacking certain features... motion control and rumble and the ability to hook up to the TV. That is a unique feature that belongs to the normal switch, why it is called a switch. Being able to switch between handheld mode and docked mode on the fly.
The small form factor is nice but it isn't that much smaller when compared to a regular switch... you still have to put it in a protective case and carry it in a book bag. When I think portable I think pocket sized.
Online play... it's lacking features... people shouldn't have to download an app on their phone to chat with people online. Discord is a better option for voice chat.
It makes more sense to spend the extra money on a full sized switch for all the features... in my opinion the switch lite is geared towards children with the bright colors and solid, singular piece design.
@@fbi1422 Your whole argument is based on if all of your friends have a switch lite meaning everyone has to spend $200 instead of one person just having bought one $300 console and sharing it with other friends. Making the original switch much better for me since my friends wouldn't spend that money for a switch. However syncing up bluetooth controllers is a fix for all this but between the two screens for multiplayer I think we know which is better.
Or just get a Switch lite and buy none of the accessories because none of them are essential. LOL!

Tbh the only accessories that seems necessary is the grip so you can play comfortably. If you gonna spend so much on other accessories you might as well just buy the og switch, regardless you use docked or not.
You really don’t need all of the accessories, they’re just cool. I would recommend a grip for the Lite or OG Switch, just makes them more comfy.

The only accessories that are truly essential are a carrying case and screen protector, and perhaps the battery bank thing for charging if you're taking it on long trips. If you play it a lot it could maybe be worth it to buy a stand and external controller as well to use sometimes so you don't wear down the main console's controls too quickly. I'd probably just get some budget options though if this were the case. With the price of the official pro controller you may as well just get a full sized Switch at that point.

Skull & co is releasing a gripcase and travel case for the lite. Actually looks better than the standard switch gripcase because the grips are angular and more ergonomic since they dont have to worry about docking. You should review that upon release

Yea same, I bought a glass screen protector and a case. That’s all I needed.
Only thing I bought for my switch was a case and a hand grip.
I bought some joy con cases that hold an extra game cartridge, and a joy con grip that holds the rest of my games. but that's about it.
I have my og switch, pro controller, carrying case with a screen protector, a lan adapter, and a stylus for accessories
I hope they make that folio case thing for the full-sized Switch too! I have big pockets but I don't want to mangle those fragile analog sticks. They should have made this system more pocket-friendly, like circle pads or a clamshell design.

2:27 despite having 2 usbs, the gamecube adapter does not need both to connect to the console to work. One usb is for connection/input (the one you want) and the other is for rumble. That means you can get away with a single usb if you do not mind the lack of rumble.
if your gonna spend all the extra money on controllers, stands, charging docks ect. why not just buy the normal switch in the first place, it has joy cons, a kickstand, a charging dock that also charges the joy cons and you can play with your friends and connect it to your TV as well as multiple other upsides

The Nintendo Switch opened a huge market for accessories. I love it. From cases, to grips, and even Nintnedo branded controllers.
Quick thing about the GameCube adapter. The different stands with only one usb will work just fine as it only needs one usb to get GameCube controllers working. The other port gives power to wireless GameCube controller inputs.
Quick tip: you can use a gamecube adapter with 1 usb slot. If you plug in the black cord into a portable dock, you can play with a GameCube controller in tabletop. I have not tested this with the switch lite.

If you stream a phone with a good camera use a hdmi adapter to a tv with no delay you can open a camera app with no hud then you can just record your screen i will try this when i get a lite i wont use it cus i can just play on my normal but for people who dont have it its possible it works good enough
you could go for the 1 port dock and still use the gamecube adapter since only the black plug needs to be plugged in to work. The grey is just for rumble
I think that usually only about 3-5 percent of the first batch of launch Switches and only about 3-5 percent of the first batch of version 2 revision Switches have Joy-Con drift right off the bat, and that only about 3-5 percent of the first batch of Switch Lites have the joystick drift right off the bat.
And I think that the rest of them develop the joystick drift or Joy-Con drift over time, like within 90 days of wear and tear, if you use them aggressively, or within a year of wear and tear if you use them gently.
Joy-Con drift is referring to the problem happening to the detachable Joy-Cons, whereas joystick drift is referring to the problem happening to the built-in joysticks on the Switch Lite.
If it happens to the future Switch Pro, then I think that only the first 3-5 percent of the first batch of Switch Pros will have the problem with Joy-Con drift right off the bat, and that the rest will eventually develop Joy-Con drift over time, like within 90 days of wear and tear if you use them aggressively, or within a year of wear and tear if you use them gently.

Hey kevin, hear me out dude, try using the homuspot or genki bluetooth adapter with the sennheiser momementum true wireless earbuds. ITS A GAME CHANGER with the switch. Im using it with zelda awakening right now. There is almost no latency and the sound is on another level

Honestly, if you want to use any other mode other than the handheld mode, then you might as well just buy the regular Switch....
A 3rd party controller and the stand could cost about $70 anyways, while the regular Switch would allow you to use the Joy-cons as a proper controller outta the box...
And you can buy the other stuff you need later down the line....

If i wanted to use a different controller, the original switch yet again proves the erelevence of the lite. Just carry an 8bitdo pro only, still more compact than two joycon and the tablet only with a hybrid case on it. Most portable experience that you can pocket the table top style.

I never knew there was two versions of the Hori Charge stand. I ordered one that says Switch/Switch Lite and has I believe one USB port or two.

The accessories for the switch is more expensive than the actual device.
Okay, going to say this, but you only need the USB connector that powers the controllers (believe it’s the black connector) for it to work. The other connector (the gray one) is for sending rumble information to wired controllers.
there are screen magnifers you could buy too i havent tried myself but it might work to make it have bigger looking screen

You can use the GameCube adapter with only the black USB. The other is used for rumble. So you only need 1 USB
With all of the grips for the Switch and Switch Lite , Why has nobody talks about Iplay cooling charging grip. It works on both units and great for keeping both from overheating.
Instead of just buying all these accessories, I'd rather just buy the regular switch.

Went to the genki amazon link to purchase. Read some latency issues but found another that does the same thing without the issues and purchased.
Had no idea there were things like this that enabled wireless bluetooth on devices.
The reason I dont like to play my switch out in the world is because I dont want to have to have the volume down in public and miss all the music and sounds. Especially if the game is new or just has an amazing soundtrack like Octopath Traveler.

You know you don't have to plug in the grey usb for the GameCube adapter, the grey is only used for rumble (I'm not a fan of rumble, so I never plug in the grey usb.)

these are really cool ideas, but all these add ons add up and then you would prob be better just paying the extra £70 to get the normal swtich. Just trying to understand why they say you need an adaptor to use on the Switch Lite, I don't have one, and I can use my Fuse brand earbuds, or headset on it, and my PXN Wireless controller. Says I can use up to 2 wireless controllers when I connect my earbuds

What people dont know talking about that u should pay the extra 100 bucks for the switch don't think too much about the other contries that these 100 bucks whould make a very big change in the price like here in egypt. The switch lite costs 4800 EGP witch is about 320$ and the switch costs 7500 EGP witch is about 500$ so that 100 bucks is really a good deal for such a developing countries like egypt.
