Mr.charles was a very funny man not only a musical prodigy, and,a sage, i always loved his colorful and jovial personality. bless his ever lovin' heart!.
Amen!! Ray is the king of ALL music period! Blues, Pop, Gospel, Soul, Jazz, Rock, and even Country Music. In 1962 Ray released an album called "Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music" and it was his biggest album of all time, and he was one of the first to make Country Music cross over to the Pop charts. People at ABC records told Ray Charles "you can't do country music, you are gonna lose all your fans"... and in CLASSIC Ray Charles style Ray said "fuck that, I'll do what I want to do". Not only did he not lose any of his fans, he gained millions more! When someone close to Ray said "why you doing their music?" meaning "white people's music" Ray simply said "music is UNIVERSAL, if I like it then it's my music too". That's what I love about Ray Charles, he wasn't about to be nailed down to any specific genre, he just did what he liked and what he wanted, because he believed music crossed over any imaginary racial barriers and brought people together, because music is for everybody. He was right. We need more people like him today! I saw Ray Charles live in the early 90's and it was hands down the best damned concert I have ever seen! He was more talented than any 10 singers of today combined. He was the best.
I love Ray Charles and Flip Wilson! I got to see Ray in person at the old University of Florida basketball gym and he was great!! That was back in 1976 or so. What a treat that was!
Flip Wilson was a truly great talented person on television. I'd never missed any of his TV show. I am now 68yrs old retired in the Philippines 🇵🇭😎 and he still makes me laugh watching his shows on TH-cam.
I was a little girl when Flip was on TV, and I didn't remember having seen this sketch. I was turned on to it watching an infomercial, and I laughed so hard I had to immediately come here!🤣
i saw flip wilson several times at those infamous after midnight concerts at town hall in nyc. he was wild and many times had to be taken offstage via the hook. those were wild nights!
The comedy in the 1970's is so much better compare to today's comedy. Nowadays people just cannot take a joke. I bet you if this type of comedy was done today, you would have organizations like the LGBT and the AADB crying out Discrimination, everything now has to be politically correct.
Flip was Our Pride and Joy Of the Early 70'S.....To see him on T.V. was a Special Treat...Pillsbury Baked Chocolate chip Cookies and Flip Wilson A National Treasure.....
As far as Trump is concerned you haven't even heard a fraction of his sins. Come back in about 5 years and you will begin to understand just what a corrupt and criminal individual he really is.
Incredible....used to watch the flip Wilson show way back when...wish I had a time machine..we really have regressed....being politically correct all the time is neurotic !
"I didn't see what I was doing!" Don't get no better than that!
+Lady from Manhattan I agree, couldn't stop laughing.

Ray Charles playing the piano is like Jimi playing the guitar behind his back all the time. Just insane.
