    I own this complete kit!
    I had a few bad experiences with the R.F. dealer/installer! Few hiccups.
    After talking with a Rockford Fosgate Representative, they sweetened the deal!
    The only thing I don't like is that blue tooth and Pandora can take like 45 seconds to a minute to pair with your phone. And other times it pairs in about 15 seconds.
    You will also have to set up your own equalizer to get the good sound.

      Thanks for your feedback Keith, we actually released Preset Tunes that you can load for the best sound. Download our new Tuning Guide and select the configuration for your motorcycle. It shows how to access these Rockford Fosgate configured Tunes: rftech.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1355.

      Thanks for your feedback. Sorry you had issues with the dealer, but glad that the rep stepped in to get everything straightened out.
      If you're using Android, we have experienced our own issues regarding Bluetooth connectivity (it happens on other products, not just the PMX source unit). We have found that iOS devices have very reliable connectivity.

    I got everything installed and power seems to be working but I have no sounds coming from my front speakers just the bag lid ones and those had a very low level of fuzz/static sound to them any suggestions/help ?

    • @rockfordfosgate

      STEP-1: Turn the system off and move each switch on the front of the amplifier to make sure all of them are fully engaged. Test the system. If that doesn't work, proceed to STEP 2.
      STEP-2: At the amplifier, first switch the LEFT and RIGHT INPUTS to see if the audio switches from the bag-lids to the fairing. If so, we have something going on in the source unit. Make sure the BALANCE and FADER are set to their CENTER positions. If audio continues to only come from the bag-lids, then we have something going on with the amplifier or connectors. Remove both connectors from the amplifier outputs and check the PINS are properly set into the molex. Plug the connectors back into the amplifier to see if the audio returns to the front speakers.
      If you're still having problems, I suggest contacting our Technical Support at 1-800-669-9899 to make sure there isn't any issues with the T-harness. They can be reached Mon. - Fri. 8 am - 5 pm.

    At 10:35 you plugged the 35 pin connector to the input side of the amp. Then ran the bag lid harness which has an input harness. Do I use the y adapter here because I’m out of input plugs?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi 1246kenny, at 10:35 I'm connecting the 35-pin radio connector to the Amp's REAR INPUT. At 10:44 I'm connecting the bag-lid speaker harness to the Amp's REAR OUTPUT. Therefore, each input & output should only have one MOLEX connected. There should be no need for a Y-Adaptor unless your running LOWERS or TOURPAK.

    What is the rca output harness used for? And do i need to connect it?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  ปีที่แล้ว

      The RCA output is the low-level signal output of the audio. This kit uses the high level output from the speaker lines, and therefore the low-level RCA's are not required to be connected.

      @@donaldstrickland9951 You’re fine, it doesn’t have to on that side, you just need to spread everything out to get the center trough back on because it’s tight. This is why we suggest laying the harness on one side, and the power harness on the opposite side.

    What other Rockford fosgate speakers can you use with this setup especially if you’re not connecting an amp

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We highly recommend an amplified system so you can hear your music while riding on the highway. However, all our speakers are high sensitivity so you don’t need tons of power to hear them. For 1998-2013 models, we offer the following models:
      TMS5 - 5.25” tourpak speakers
      TMS6RG - 6” speakers for Road Glide
      TMS6SG - 6” speakers for Electra Glide/Street Glide
      TMS69 - 6x9” speakers for saddlebags

      Unfortunately, we just discontinued the PAUX, but we are selling the PMX-USBP. We're not touting it as a replacement because it's just a USB port with no 3.5mm audio input. Unlike the PAUX, the PMX-USBP requires a step-up bit if you intend to install in the cig-lighter location. The mounting hole requires 7/8” (23 mm) rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/pmx-usbp/
