This is powerful Eddy. At that age, a majority of us would succumb to self-pity and engage in wayward behavior. It takes courage to accept one's mistakes and admit to turnaround their life. You've taught me an amazing lesson through your life. Best of luck.
Eddy you are man (which are few nowadays) for admitting your faults, talking about it publicly, yet humbling yourself to God help you to restoration. Well done brother.
For a man to admit his failures and mistakes is so courageous. I salute you Eddy, I do admit, you kept a straight face, I am sorry to learn the lot you were going through.
Thank you for sharing Eddy. It takes a true man to acknowledge his good, bad and ugly. Push past ego, taking responsibility for his mistakes, learning from them and commit to genuinely doing better even when it's tough. God bless Nyambura. It takes a lot for a spouse to choose to do the work of healing and forgiving past infidelity. May you and your entire family come out better and stronger.
This is the most amazing story that i have seen in kenyan men. I used to watch him back then on nation television. Seeing him today on this video, i appreciate the lessons he has impacted on me as i prepare to find an eternal partner. May the Lord be with and bless you Eddy.
I have moved back home at some point and I know how hard that can be. But I cannot imagine doing that as a 39 year old man. This couldn't have been easy to share but I'm glad you did. It is never too late to turn around as long as we are still alive. Many of us write ourselves write ourselves off far too early and I'm glad you did not.
Powerful stuff. Thank you Eddy for being that vulnerable and authentic. It takes a real man to step forward and bare his soul for others to learn from his missteps. Ubarikiwe.
Powerful. As my former school mate, I have always admired your demeanour from way back and what you have achieved in your career and social life. I had no idea about your valley private moments but noticed you were out of the limelight for sometime..... and then you showed up in the musical and I was like yaay I gotta watch Tinga tinga. I'm inspired by your positivity and resilience in the face of adversity. It is not about the fall but about how you respond to the fall. I like the fact that you gathered the courage to get yourself back up on your feet, and back to the ring to reclaim all that is yours. I'm sure many people are encouraged by your honesty. All the best Eddy. God bless you and your family.
I don't know if anyone else is familiar with the kikuyu saying: And the coward's ran home to their mothers? My mum always used to tell us that, to assure us that no matter what she would prefer we come home to her, and that she would accept our failure with love. There is nothing like a good mother's love. 💖💖
I remember you Eddy! You went to a high school that we used to socialize with in Nakuru (UBA?) I was in Bahati Girls'. You were famous coz you'd perform during funkies and we'd look up to you :-) It takes sooo much courage and authenticity to share what you just did. You're gonna do great!
I remember you back in Molo Academy.I rem you wining that puzzle thing that took you to the states...Your mum has always been there for you i rem.God is faithful
You have spoken to me! Thank you. I thought I was alone and felt so ashamed that my life did not go as I had planned. Been battling self pity and fear of making wrong choices and I am glad I saw this video. Recovery is possible. I too I am not proud of the choices I made, but I am proud of who I am becoming everyday! Thank you Eddy
Wow.. My teenagehood crush... Christ thé King naxvegas.. Eddie you are stronger than you know and your story Will surely be à blessing to many... Big up champion
Believing in God .Faith and Believing in Almighty Father is a very important part of our life.I am glad you found God at the right time.Men can be proud and hard headed but when you humble yourself and look for the good of your family you will be blessed.Children definitely need their father.
This hit me so deeply. Men go through a lot but suffer in silence. Eddie is in deed courageous to share. This will inspire and give hope to many of us. Thank you so much for this. To @engage talk , God bless you for creating this forum. Thank you
I am speechless. To humble yourself to that extend and accepting that you made wrong choices at some point, the willingness to make up for everything is what makes you a real man Eddy. Not many will have the courage like yours. God bless you as you continue to mend and put things together once again.
Man like Eddy, we Molo Academy products are the thoughest out here and we never give up.... personally having kept tabs with most of our peers from back in the days can testify that we are resilient out of the school's system and experience. I am yet to find anyone whom we schooled together that is not self reliant during their tough times and so I am certain that you will raise from the ashes as a phoenix to humbly open a fresh chapter. Peace Bro, may the Almighty Bless You... Rock, Rock On!
Life is cyclical and there will be ups and downs. The downs are meant to connect to our correct paths and help us discover ourselves better- Thanks for sharing Eddy- God bless
#Word. Thank you Eddy and great work on your comeback. So motivating and a powerful inspiration more so to the young generation. All the best in the journey.
I shared this on facebook almost immediately. We live in a society where we share only the glam of our lives. But life can be different, it can be tough, it can be ugly. When all is lost who we remain with is ourselves. I am happy that Eddy has shared such a personal story of his life. Thank you for being vulnerable with us. We are used to seeing the finished product in peoples lives and we miss the point always, we are all becoming and we are more than the money we have. There are more important things in this life than our status. Everyone should hear this story, because its the start of new chapter of Eddy's life. God loves us in our weakness and stupidity. Wish you and Nyambura all the best.
There are always good pple along a bad path..he thought he was running away frm his failures..just to meet a with a Peter who prayed for him..Prayers are very important..to us..let's learn to say them each tym....Men leave ..but thax for a turn around..tell your wife to forgive you..make the most in your family now..you still have a lot undone..past failures are just present lessons..Best wishes Eddy.👏👏👏
Thanks Eddy. You are an inspiration. It takes courage no only to endure adversity and failure but to speak boldy about it. May God Bless u bro and your family. May he also heal and restore everything you've lost. i love this "my fellow men...when all is said and done, we must recognize that being perfect is a fairy tale. failure, scarcity and shortcomings are all part of being a man,a husband and a father..."
takes courage for a man to come out honestly like that may God give you more courage to face the giants ahead. It shall be well! with you and your Family.

I suffered from Bells Palsy when I was 16 years old. I am proud of you for admitting your mistakes and trying to fix them. I hope you fix things with your family. Nothing is unsolvable.
Wow! Eddy, just Wow! You really are a strong one top of the strongest. Who would have guessed you were going through all this as you faced life daily and didn't mourn as you sought gigs? Barikiwa sana. Very inspiring. Proud to know you man.
Thank you Eddy for sharing. This is not a story, it's a life lived though through traumatic circumstances but with a shimmer of hope ingrained therein.
Thanks Eddy. I take with me the lesson on self pity. It is easy to feel worthless at times and that only drives one away from any attempt to mend what is broken. May you rise again, may you be healed, may your family be made whole again.
Wow!Eddy this is so brave.I'm so happy for you, thank God for Peter you went back to your family.I wish men and women too can realize the importance of family. There's a reason it's ranked second from God,it's no gain at all to have it all and no family to go home to. May God continue healing your marriage.Blessings and thanks for sharing❤
I've never seen him before, even on TV but it's easy (and great) to see that he is recovering from the bells palsy on the left side of his face. More importantly, it takes a lot of internal strength to admit your shortcomings as a man. I always like to learn from the mistakes of others. This is a great lesson on relationships, parenting and self discovery .
Eddie, most men never return from where you had gone. You are really a strong man. Men, as much as we would like to deny it, a good Woman is the best anchor a man can have. You loose your family, esp wife, and your life begins to become difficult. Even God blesses you last after he is done with all those men who have intact families. It's just an observation. Many divorced and separated dudes in my family have struggles beyond the normal limit. If you must cheat on your wife (99.9% of men do, even the good commited ones, that is just the way it is) use protection and usilete madharau kwa nyumba ata kidogo. Your left hand and right hand must not know what the other is doing.
Edd I must say this is deep men considering the way i know you personally. Thanks for sharing this inspiring story of your life. Success is not final, failure is not fatal, its the courage to continue that counts
What a story. Thanks Eddy for sharing, true courage. All said and done your magical voice is still intact as we could here it on 'Capital FM on location' and reading sports news.
