You are literally creating the future generation of doctors, engineers, and scientists. Props to you man (and everyone who takes part in the creation of these videos)
That was wonderfully explained. I don’t know how can I not understand the topic in an hour long lecture but understand it in the first 3 minutes of your video 🙏🏻❤️
No, he's right. I think you just misunderstood and calculated it. Let's take C9H7PBr2O3 from 8:33 of this video as an example. If you calculate it using your method, it is [(20+1-2)-7]/2=6. How is it? It's the same, right?
No, your formula might actually be more helpful as it includes nitrogen and halogens if they are involved in a compound. if they are not, you simply ignore them.
Adding no. of nitrogen atoms to the formula is essentially the same as subtracting one for each atom from the total no. of hydrogen atoms which is what he has explained in the video. For C5H7N, by ur way its (12-7+1)/2 or by what he did at 6:09 =12-(7-1) /2 Hope this helps 3 years later lol

You are a God among organic chemists . My professor speaks a broken English and its hard to understand came here and its very clear. Thank you.
Daf
you literally explain everything in just 13 minutes compared with how my prof took 1 hour to do so.
Thank you for explaining why the system works at the end, then it all made sense.

Most Better than hours of lectures
you deserve the world my good sir
idk what it is but something about this man's voice and the fact that he's teaching me Ochem so well is making me fall in love with him 🤨
This guy clear all my doubt
I been doing it wrong this whole time because of this video, you add the N and subtract the Halogens.
No, he's right.

Aren't you supposed to add the nitrogen and subtract the halogen?
That's what I'm wondering
My textbook from 2013 said 0.5 * [2c+2-h-x+n]... so is it +1 for N and -x for halogen... did it change?
No, your formula might actually be more helpful as it includes nitrogen and halogens if they are involved in a compound. if they are not, you simply ignore them.
Kindly tell my lecturer to bring his best questions now 🚶
Thank you so much (Sun 20 Dec 2020, 5:17 PM)
Thank you for the explanation and the equation sir. :)
Thank you for the explanation, it is really nice
First. Also thank you. I haven’t seen anything like this before
Thank you for such an amazing video..
omg You impress me with these tips! Thank you!
Thank you so much!🙏now I can do my assignment🤗
5:45 it's epic, tq sir
Thank you so much sir ❤️
So clear, I want to cry
Nice explanation sir
seriously though, you are supposed to add the nitrogen and subtract the halogen
Shanice Magama seriously though I don’t see you making all these videos. Shut up
Chill out dude
It's awesome 💯
Sir thank you for explaining
But IHD of last shown compound is not zero...
Can you explain...
good explanation sir
Thank you very much Dr
Thank u so much 🥰🥰
nice explanation
Thanks a ton sir ❤❤❤you have no idea how much you have helped me ❤❤❤
🙌Thank you!
Thanks dude!!!
I just became a member do I still have to see the commercials? don't judge please.
you can only not see ads if you have youtube premium, i think. membership only allows you to have more videos
Thank you so mucb
Thank you sm

Bruh. You add the nitrogen and subtract the halogens. Ffs made me lose points on my exam. Thanks though for the help,
