Introducing the latest build in my collection, The Lost World: Jurassic Park Mercedes Benz ML320 Replica! This is the first episode of a series where I will be building one of the unique camouflage SUVs from the 1997 science fiction action film for my personal enjoyment and bucket list. There are actually three different versions of this vehicle, the Santana, Fontana, and the Montana. There were six total pre-production Vance, Alabama built M-Class vehicles modified for this movie. At this time I am considering the Fontana which will include lots of fabrication, winch, lighting, and roof modifications which could include the bubble top roof. We will just have to see where my imagination takes me! In this first episode I will introduce the donor vehicle, which was pulled from some Florida woods, and start cleaning this unit up and getting it all disassembled and prepped for paint. This is going to be a fun one!

That dipstick does not go all the way down the tube. It's universal for different types of mercs with different lengths of tube. Once you feel the resistance that means it's all the way down and should show you oil level. Of course when the engine is running.
Yeah I had never seen that before. I have since picked up the correct dipstick as well. Did you notice what the issue was though? I went back and watched my videos and could see that the trans filter was missing! The mechanic that worked on it several years ago forgot to reinstall it. 😂
$106.61 cad for the transmission dipstick new from mb dealership. Has various levels to go by depending on various conditions. My pool lol floorboards are soaked & carpet stinks & lots of electrical problems. 2000 ml 320
