My friend, a good ripend mango has to smell strong,probably you know it from your trips to borneo ,and has price in europe higher than 10€ per kilo (for mangoes that comes by airplane ready to eat).if you travel to greece,crete island try our local mangoes (season about august) cheaper than the air mangoes, 5,80€per kilo, and see how sweet and tasty they are!
Thank you, i always wanted to go to Crete. One day i will Unfortunately here most supermarket fruit have no smell at all. Right now the strawberries are decent but i miss the SO- European fruit.
i dont know the amelie,may be its a good mango but your amelie mango seems to be a mango pick green sur it will not taste good mango ripe on tree in full sun taste better ,go and eat mango in mango country pick sun ripen .

Yes, you are so right. It is hard to find good ripe mangoes in Europe. I always try to go to warm countries for mangoes
