Bodo Accord has heralded new dawn of peace in Assam: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a huge gathering in Kokrajhar, Assam on February 07, 2020. PM Modi visited Kokrajhar to participate in an event to celebrate the signing of the Bodo agreement. In his address PM Modi said that 'We have to work together for peace and development of NE, will not allow violence to return'. The Bodo Accord was signed on January 27 by the government with four factions of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB), All Bodo Students' Union and a civil society group for bringing lasting peace in Bodo-dominated areas in Assam.
