    Great job again! For those of us in cold climates that have to deal with road salt, I would suggest actually cutting the turn signal wire, and splicing in with weather proof heat shrink tubing. Also, take the time to drill a small hole in the side of the fusebox housing, pass the wire through, and silicone (better yet, get a rubber grommet) around the wire. I think I'll be adding these to the wife's highlander using your link! PSA, be very careful drilling into the plastic housing, you don't want to go too far or you may create a circuit and blow yourself up :)

    Hi J J. Not sure if you still check your comments as this video is a couple of years old. But if you do, I have a question. I got the sequential fog lights like yours. Different though. Each fog lights has a yellow cable for signal connect plus a connection to a gizmo. But instead of two lines, power & ground; mine has three! Black, White and Res. Black is Ground. Both White and Red when connected individually with the ground, they have white and blue lights! How do I connect this? Am puzzled. Which goes to the fuse box, and where does the remaining wire be connected? Thank you. Ezzy

    New subscriber here. Nice job and watched your video so many times😀👍🏼. I have a 2020 Highlander and was inspired by your video so I will be doing the same mod. Question: do you know the fuse number and the fuse name that you used for the tap? Also, I saw it was a 10amp fuse, did you ever have issues with the fuse blowing after the mod? I think 10amp fuse will be sufficient but the wiring harness that came with the DRL/signal lights has a 20amp fuse. Do you foresee any issues with using a 10amp fuse (was planning to tap a 10amp INJ fuse) to tap into? Thanks.

      Hey! Thanks for the support! Don’t see why you couldn’t use a higher amp fuse wouldn’t hurt. I haven’t had any issues with the 10amp one I am currently using. These are LED lights so they don’t draw much current to cause any kind of issues with blowing fuses

    I followed your directions to the letter BUT when I turned on the power something quirky happened.....everything is working.....flashers all the way around, turn signals all the way around. Here's the quirky part....the drive lights are different. The passenger side is white and the driver's side is amber. I checked, double checked and triple checked the wiring and connections and nothing seams to be out of order. I am using everything you suggested from Amazon and this really has me perplexed....any suggestions?

    • @JJBanuelos
      @JJBanuelos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s strange, you might have received a faulty part. There’s really no way to mess up the wiring since all we’re doing is connecting them using there connectors. Only wiring we have to do is give them power. I would send them back & get a new set. Probably not what you wanted to hear but that’s prob the only way to fix it without cutting & rewiring the side that has the incorrect lighting.

      @anthonyjneal1010 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shame on me for performing due diligence after-the-fact but I did and here's the conclusion. Toyota offers several trims in the 2019 Highlander, LE, LE Plus, XLE, SE, Limited, Platinum, Hybrid LE, Hybrid XLE and the Hybrid Limited with AWD available for all of them. What's more the turn signal wires change color based upon the trim level. The wire color of my 2019 Highlander Limited AWD turn signals are driver's side "blue" and passenger's side "red" NOT red on both sides. When turned on my sequence lights resemble that of an emergency laden vehicle except one of them are white. This is of course due to incorrect wiring. I learned the change in colors after reviewing Toyota's wiring schematic for all the trims. You couldn't possibly have anticipated this minor yet significant detail but now that you do know you have the responsibility to inform your subscribers. In the meantime, I have to figure out how to fix my problem without having Toyota replace the wiring harness.
