Your content makes everything so clear and makes things look so easy,in my first week of subscription your channel already became my first go-to guide for almost anything that I need to learn or any issues I encounter during my routines. I’m thinking of including this wrists drill as a warmup before my biceps work
Just today I have injured my wrist while I was strenghtening them. :( Moreover I have already gone through such injury so I know it is going to be like 2 months of shit and not working out :/ Please take care of your wrists they are really important! :)
I’m in the same situation. I’m 17 and really want to get back to mountain biking but whenever i try to do it my wrist goes from lifting the bike. It look about 3 months for the pain to go and as soon as I got back to it after doing loads of strengthening exercises, my wrist went again. Any advice from your experience?
Thanks for the exercises :) I broke both wrists in my teens years ago like really bad. I broke my right 1 4 times and the left 3 times. I done it everytime because it seemed healed each time but wasn't and so impact broke it again. Doctors weren't even convinced it was broken but because they realised it was shattered on impact from the inside out of a certain bone in each wrist they realised that I couldn't cast it up because it needed blood flow to fix it. 😓 So not I have fixed wrists after giving up the impact sports I played as a teen and they're healed but the muscles never became flexible and now I'm on a fitness mission over 10 years later these wrists muscles are so tight! So I'll try these now :) and I just bought a resistance band so that was even more helpful than I thought haha. Thanks again!
I really want to learn calisthenics, but, I injured my elbow which made my training not optimal. especially during pull-ups. but I didn't give up and kept doing what I could. I'm happy to find this channel.
Thanks Daniel. This is just the video I needed. I do the passive wrist mobility stuff at the beginning of each session, but then get some mild crunchy discomfort on the topside of my forearm during rest days. I'd been treating this with a little myofascial massaging, but incorporating a light resistance band for active mobility is a great tip to strengthen the region - just like your scapular warm-up drills (W, Y, T) helped stop rotator cuff pain. Keep going and continuing to be the best source for this kind of content on the internet.
Well, these exercises look promising. I jumped into working out during quarantine without having strong enough wrists, so I ended up with some injuries. After taking a break, I'd like to build up my wrist strength to restart most of the arm strengthening exercises, and get more consistent at typing.
I was feeling pain in my left wrist after working out, I opened TH-cam and saw this video uploaded juste 44 seconds ago. What is this magic? How did you do it? Stop reading my mind!
Just what i need ! I have been doing the exercises about wrists from your previous video, and i was consistent, so i dont have pain any more and i can lean so much forward now, no pain at all. But now the forearms are starting to struggle, so thanks again, very helpfull 👍👍👍💪💪💪
Thank you so much Daniel! I love when you teach us exercises and back it up with physiotherapy knowledge, the wrist joint is an area I struggle with, I will definitely incorporate this strengthening method.
Great video Daniel! I’ve had sore wrists for a while from my tumbling and acro, so I’ve decided to work on it properly now. It didn’t occur to me I could use my bands for it lol
Very helpfull. I will change my kettlebell's workout for a simple elastic band...it seems better and safer. I'll try. Thanks a lot. Great job in this channel. One of the best.
Daniel, this is very important (especially for me), will taking out the grape sized ganglion cyst from my right wrist through surgery, cause strength loss in my wrist & forearm? Please reply, I love this video, it is 100% relevant for calisthenics athletes Also, if somebody from FitnessFAQs community replies an answer, it will be highly appreciated!
This is exactly what i needed. Is there any way to do the same with Elbows? I always have pain issues with that, especially when i work on muscle up. Thank you for your hard n excelent job!! Keep it up Seinsei!!
Ya man, I get pain in my elbows when doing a planche hold and a straight arm froger move thing. But, I also have hyperextensive elbows which mean the bend about 15° when locked. Idk whether I should still lock my elbows or try and hold them at a perfect 180° or wat. Ig... Idk man. Any ideas and I'll absolutely love it
Well, generally joints are stabilised by proactive tension in the surrounding muscles. So your elbow pain might be alleviated by strengthening the surrounding muscles: biceps, triceps, brachioradialis. Since you are working on your forearm anyway, you could try to strengthen all of it, since tension spreads: if you tense one individual muscle very hard, its neighbours throughout the muscle chain also tense up. Increasing your ability to produce tension in your forearm will thus positively affect the tension you produce in the rest of your arm which will stabilise your elbow.
Thanks a lot for what you said in the last minute of the video. I really do neglect thinks like that because they are boring but I regret it. Will do some shoulder mobi work in my rest time then.

nice video but dont you train your wrist -strengh while holding the handstand or training the planche for example? so my question is isnt that enough or do i have to train it very specifically? :)
this principle has solved tendonosis every time. massage, chiro, accu all failed and some direct, progressive training solved it within a couple sessions.
