My 3 and 4 Cleveland hybrids, that I purchased thru Mcgolf, are working well.

Just hit my new Mizuno STX 220 in the 5 and was amazingly impressed. So much I have the 6 arriving tomorrow. I’m putting those 2 irons on the shelf. My JPX Forged 900’s just don’t compete. Irons don’t go near as high and the dispersion with the hybrid is a lot better. Now I just need to upgrade my 7, 8 and 9.

Very informative as always, I like the adjustability of the para\dym..finding that most older golfers prefer, 3 & 4 irons over hybrids. But flexibility issues move them to hybrids. Thanks Jim

Jim- always love the review videos as you provide more insight than most reviewers. Idea on hybrids is often they are too draw bias. I built a rescue 3hyb and toe weighted for my son and he loves it. He swings 105mph driver and Carrie’s this clue 220 yrs. I adjusted for swing weight in the build at a d3 as that seems to be a good middle of road. Was this the right approach? Would love to see you take your perderé hybrid from this review and discuss preferred methods to reduce the draw bias factor and make those trends yield more to the center of the target line

Another great video Jim. After hitting my sons 4H cobra Speedzone last year I bought one new from Dicks on clearance. Love the rails on the sole, for me it’s a no brainer. They get through the rough with ease. Liked it so much I picked up a used 3H on eBay. Have a nice 10 yard gap between each. 182 yards w 4H and 192 with 3H. Love the solid feel. I think Cobra went in the wrong direction by losing the rails.

The ltdx hybrid still has remnants of them. It’s an incredible hybrid. Not left bias, and a super hot face. I had to loft up to make the 4h perform like a typical 3h.

@@treeflip7 yeah but the rails are very small compared to Speedzone

Great TEST. I always found srixon woods and hybrids fall behind in ball speed.

My Mizuno CLK 4 iron-hybrid is one of my favorite clubs. Better than a 5 wood fairway wood.

Hi was it the mizuno ST-Z 230 you tested not the ST-X 230 as you stated in the video.

Hi Jim, interested in which hybrid you would have picked for your bag based upon gapping? Where does land angle fit into the decision?

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  ปีที่แล้ว

I stop at a 6 iron that is approximately 190 (185 - 195) my next club is a 23 degree hyb at 200 to 205 then a 21 at 215 and a 18 that is 230. At least when working well. Lol. Using these clubs the 22 deg were all a bit longer up to the Wilson and Srixon which were at or below current clubs. Personally I would take either the mizuno or callaway then adjust as needed for my gaps

Thanks! I have a 5 iron and a 26* hybrid which have similar carry distances but have different trajectories, the 5 hybrid lands softer with less roll. Thoughts on taking the 5 iron out completely? It can be handy on a windy day

Great content. Where is the best place to find an acurate frequency chart that shows rough conversion to flex.

You got more lefty’s clubs, lead about your shop, than I see in 6 pro shops in England.

Good stuff. Lefty myself as well. Shame some club manufacturers shortchange us lefties with their options.

Not to much of a change so far except a BGT putter shaft in a Makefield putter and a Paradym driver. Still chewing on a few wedges.

Cool. I noticed that you said you are using more hybrids. I'm a 5 hoping but losing distance as I'm getting older. 65 and 4 seem to all go the same height and not much distance differences. Hybrids have always been hook machines. Thanks

  • @pedroc6823

    That’s why I don’t carry a 3 wood, I went Driver,5 wood lofted down to 17.5 and 3 Hybrid set to19o
Then small gap to my 5 iron, since my 5 iron is strong lofted there is no big gap.
I did add an extra wedge because of the strong Wilson Dynapower irons.
