Hello guys! Today I bring you another transcription of a long and complex song. "The Way You Look Tonight" by Jimmy Raney. While the harmony of this song is not complex, Jimmy's improvisation is. Classic bebop improvisation, where the lines extend in an unusual and asymmetrical way. There are long lines and other short ones and they extend over the harmony in a "strange" way. This is easier to explain in video, but many will understand it. Jimmy's style also has many ornaments (slides, hammer on, pull off) and also uses complex rhythms that destabilize you if you are not very focused. Anyway, I think this song is a university on its own when you see everything it contains.
