Just ordered a Laser Bear GameCube fan bracket and a Laser Bear Mode SD card extender for my model 2 Sega Saturn console last week. The SD card extenders are incredibly convenient, and fill in the hole left by the ODE quite nicely. Laser Bear makes some quality products.
The perfect video im looking for. Now all you need is to tell us if a OSSC and GCHD MK 2 together are very sharp in picture. so i can finally make my mind up for a clearer picture
You can use 3 pole double throw relays to install the wave bird dongle guts inside the cube. You need to separate the flashing from each port and use that to complete the circuit to throw the relays when you plug a peripheral into the port. So when the port is empty it will switch to the dongle and when you plug something in it switches to the port. Same method I used to install the Xbox DVD dongle inside the case.
The game cube triggers were the most satisfying button to me. And seeing that Dragonball Z Sagas game on the monitor took me back to my childhood. My favorite game!
The SD card housing definitely gives it a much more finished, professional look. My only nitpick would be the colour not matching the original silver, if black was an option that would probably be my preference. In general though, the Gamecube isn't really a system that I think of having a noisy disc drive or fan. If we were talking Dreamcast though, that certainly had a _distinct_ audio profile...
