i found it easier to suspend the back end and remove the rear wheel and shaft, ive had to pull mine 3x by myself, i can now do it under an hour and a half
Hey Dave great video. I would like to know if I need to take the engine out to repair the damper cam on my 1500 classic Vulcan 2004, cam I take the rear end out?
Nice video. Do you have a video showing where you disengaged the drive shaft at the small pin hole? For some reason I cant disengage the pin on my 1997 vulcan classic 1500
One of my videos shows it,, pull rubber boots back, turn shaft and look for a small hole, stick something in hole and depress spring loaded pin in there and at same time pull motor forward,, be careful not to loose pin and spring, they will fall out,,
@@mobilmontana got ya. I'll give it another go. I think what I didnt do was actually pull the motor forward. I thought the pin would make a sound or give me some indication that it loosened.
It's not a very strong spring, easily compresses with one hand, think I used small Alan wrench in hole to compress, no sound, and should easily slide apart,, install is reverse, a little grease on shaft splines
You sir are a talented Workhorse thanks for the visual 😎
