Not only was it the biggest fight in women's history, at this time (first to main event MSG, Superfight, etc.), but the fight deliver, the crowd delivered, the boxing fans delivered (in terms of PPV buys). What a moment in time and we were here for it.

Can’t lie; after the first round I stopped counting and fell into full fan mode. One of the best fights I’ve seen since Gatti vs Ward 1. Gotta give equal respect and admiration for both fighters.

Serrano was amazing. I can tell she has worked a lot on her footwork since this fight. Katie got really clever in the late rounds with her footwork.

Amanda won that fight if it wasn't a tie. She was hurt early. Amanda was cracking her way harder did more body work and did more damage. Great job tho but Amanda Won
How you can score this fight 97 - 93 for Taylor defies all senses of logic!
Taylor lost this fight even though she put up a valiant effort. Incredible fight that unfortunately was judged by the almighty dollar.

Amanda came up two divisions as a featherweight to fight KT a lightweight. And I think she won but a draw would have been ok.
She won and now she has to go up 3 weight classes so that she has to put on 15lbs these guys are joke she won 1st fight and will KO her the 2nd fight.

I love this fight but that female commentator Jessica is so biased against Taylor. I’ve listened to her commentate previously and really don’t like how biased she is.

Watched this like 20 times, and always came to the same conclusion of Serrano getting robbed.
Serrano won the fight simply because she was the more aggressive fighter and landed more punches,
This was a mega fight best fight iv seen live in a while both done really well but Katie did edge it for the win she got more shots in Amanda at times was missing shots or hitting of the glove Katie’s hand speed was to quick and her footwork was on another level to Amanda’s

Great fight...one of the greatest! What Amanda said at the post fight interview is sooo very important about how women fighters treat each other...so very important!! Awesome fight!

Overall: 7-3 Amanda, idk where these scores came from, Amanda looked comfortable all night and Katie looked shook from round 1 on, Amanda walked her down and hurt Katie way more than Katie hurt her, It’s a robbery whether y’all wanna admit it or not just based on the scores that Katie’s cards had, the judges were clearly skewed to favor Katie
I don't have a clue how you scored the first to amanda. Aggression is not the same as effective aggression. Taylor controlled that round. I don't see how you got 7-3 Amanda honestly. Was a close fight but taylor won most of the rounds.
Taylor almost got knocked down on the 4th and was always getting outboxed. There should be a rematched.

Amanda has to go up 3 weight classes and she won the 1st fight we all know.
There was no way that Amanda Serrano was up 5-1 in the first 6 rounds. Maybe 4-2, or 3-3, but not 5-1. It's like the commentators were only watching one fighter the entire match. I will say this, if Amanda Serrano would have managed to knock Katie down in round 6, she would have won a close decision, but instead she took her foot off the gas, and it cost her the fight. Katie showed a ton of heart in this fight to come back from a deficit. Actually both of them showed why they are the best at what they do. This is what it looks like when two equally skilled fighters face each other in the ring. I was so happy that it didn't end with a quick KO, or TKO due to a crucial mistake by one of them. I love to see fights like this go the distance, and at the end of the day, women's boxing won, period.
Soranno was up 5-1 without question after the first six rounds! Try watching it again, objectively. I've got 50 years in the fight game and that's what I see more and more EACH time I re-watch it. What are you smoking?

Wow, just wow! It's shocking how some people are unable to see reality even when it's shoved in their face as clear as day.
Using the gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the page, set your video speed to 0.25. Then, go to 5:18 which is the first round with one minute and four seconds left, and watch the punch combo sequence where the commentator says "Katie scores with another combination", and then watch to see that the ONLY punch landed in the entire sequence was a body shot landed by Sorrano!
Now re-watch each of the first 6 rounds at 0.25 so you can see the reality of your fighter Katie getting beat EVERY SINGLE ROUND because you OBVIOUSLY cannot see the reality of the situation in real-time speed.

True,343434, but i think Amanda lost this fight for only one reason, which imo is her inability to recognize when she needs to slow her pace a little, measure her opponent for specific punches, and dont forget that she has to still defend herself too. She was stronger than Katie and in some cases beat her to the punch, but, aside from the rounds that Amanda really put it on Katie, she lost her advantage because she doesnt stay disciplined. Amanda is one speed all the time, unless maybe if she gets tired. It seems she was going full throttle for the ko , but when it didnt come, she didnt try something a little different or creative that might have produced it or at least save her a lot of punches that counted as points for Katie I think Amanda can beat Katie Taylor and even knock her out, but its not easy to do and Amanda has to be a lot more disciplined while she is trying to do it.
Amanda Serrano was Superior and gave the best blows, you don't have to look for anything else

When I watched the fight live, I thought that Serrano won by simply being the aggressor majority of the fight and hurting Katie mid fight. But rewatching it, I see that Katie was controlling distance and Serrano was swinging at air while getting countered. The only times she had success was when Katie gave up positioning or started trading with her. But even Katie got the best of some of them exchanges.

After watching the fight then listening to the crowd. It's obvious they handed that fight to Katie to avoid a riot. Anybody with eyes knows Amanda delivered a beatdown.

Best boxing fight i've ever seen. True thriller. With ringwalks this is a piece of art. Atmosphere, tension&excitement, intesity of the fight and after the fight warm words and mutual respect between the fighters. Not a fan of boxing, but this fight is EPIC. Winner could have been any of these two. But actually: I don't even care about the result.

I can’t really argue with the results, watching the fight live, I slightly had Amanda Serrano winning but a rewatch shows it can go either way.

Came back to rewatch after that lame jake paul fight, boring. This is easily one of the most entertaining fights I've ever seen male or female. Love that at the end instead of stalling out and hugging they go insane on eachother. Epic fight
