Just the preference of the taxidermist, many tend to gravitate to the wood wool as 1. more diversity in poses and more accurate to the mammal than that of the commercial body. 2, there isnt as much alterations needed as it can be perfectly made to the body of the animal and can be posed and moved around somewhat rather than a rigid form thats stuck with one pose.

My beaver mount is fading in areas of fur because of being in the sunlight. What is the best method to replace the fur color.
To “replace” the fur color the best way is to air brush it with acrylic paint!
