    So nice to see how you cut up the forms of the legs to able you to put the wire through. I can finally get on with the baby goat that has been sitting on my worktable for several weeks now. Thanks again Ben.

    Well done, Ben! I still prefer wrapping with Excelsior and Tow, then mold and cast the head ... just how I do it ...

    Would a 8 gauge wire work to put into the legs for a fox.

      It depends on the pose. You might be able to get away. With it. But gauge 6 is better.

    Good day sir , i noticed you used a factory head on the custom carved body , can you buy just the separate heads for marten and Fisher?

    • @ArtofTaxidermy
      @ArtofTaxidermy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have moulded and poured my marten heads myself … but I have seen some taxidermists in Europe have made a series of different heads and have them for sale on Facebook groups. I’m sure you can find some if you really search around in different suppliers and also in Facebook groups.

    Brother I have to say being a taxidermist myself I really like your techniques. And new great tips.. I would like to ask you. Where did you get the clear wrap you use on your bird wings and small animals forms. Great idea. Looks like it would help taxi the skin around lot easier.. Byrd TAXIDERMY Madison County AL.

      Hi Jeff. Thanks for your message. We all have known and figured things out differently .. all are good .. we just have to share the. Everybody benefits. Those clear tapes are just regular packing wraps cut by myself into tape size. 👍

      @@ArtofTaxidermy brother thanks for the response. It's funny you say that about the wrap. Because I was going to get me a roll and cut it down sense I didn't see it already in size.. youtube it just wonderful for share tips. Trick of the trade. I'm 59 and never to old to learn new ways even know I'm know where as advanced in the taxidermy word as you and some others. But I will say. I have seen many over the years and serval on here.. not trying to butter you up. Lol. Just being honest. You are my favorite to watch and listen too on here. Thanks again for responding.

      Hey Brian. You would need “buoyancy billets” made by DOW company. I think you can order them in through Home Depot in the states. Otherwise check out other construction suppliers.
