About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.
In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Forgot about stage 6, having to take it all back down a few weeks later, telling yourself "if we do it right this year, it won't be a big mess next year", then getting frustrated and throwing it in a huge pile once again

Loved that! At first I was thinking about when we were kids and my brother wanted to use my sewing machine just to see how fast it could go. He was a pre-drivers license 12 year old and had a need for speed. When Taylor said backstitch, I was like “oh, he might actually know what he’s doing”

My Dad was Mr Christmas Lights. All blue and perfectly aligned.
Possibly my favorite yet! This brings back so many memories of my dad's struggle with the lights. He eventually gave up and we girls took over, only ever put them up on the bushes out front but at least we were safe 😄

Thirty years ago I got the idea of putting plastic candles on the windows-sills. I use bulbs of all colors so it's festive. For me, the best part is I don't have to go out in the cold.

I love Christmas lights way too much to procrastinate, always go up right after Thanksgiving.
My dad doesn't have a procrastination stage. He put up the lights outside on THANKSGIVING and I decorated the tree inside.
