I made this tutorial with an easy, lazy, simple workflow for quick results, therefore professional naming and deformer integrity are not a priority of mine and the models might not be suitable for game development usage.

Common Problems
1. Onion skin is on? You can turn it off at the bottom task bar, the icon with 3 layered circles.
2. Can’t create a deformer (error: please create an object with same parent deformer selected)
Make sure your selected elements are of the same hierarchy! You can’t select child layers and the parent deformer together. You can click the little ( v ) above the deformer window until it becomes ( ﹥ ) and it will collapse the deformers, so you can better tell what’s on the same hierarchy.
3. Limited deformer conversions, parameters, can’t shift ctrl c/v : you might be using live2d free version! Please consider getting the pro version trial, since this tutorial is not going to be completable without pro version!

Your teaching style is so great. You explain the key commands youre using and not just saying "copy" or whatever, and you explain what you WANT to do, WHAT to do to do that, HOW the program understands what you asked, and WHY youre doing

hey hey! whenever I try to select the head it selects everything, and since I’m using a Mac keyboard commands don’t work. Do you have any advice on how to fix this?

nice video but i got a weird issue with the programm. for some reason the colour on my model looks way darker then it usually is. can i do something against that?

For me the colors get desaturated a bit when imported in live2d, I either adjust it prior in my drawing software, or I adjust the texture atlas png on the exported model at the end!

i'm holding ctrl because the head z spawned in by my model's boobs, but it won't move the deformer itself, just the whole upper part that the deformer is supposed to help with. Unsure if this is a matter with my own program or what? please send help 😭😭😭

I had this problem as well. My mistake was trying to hover my mouse till the middle line was green before ctrl clicking. You don't want to do that you actually don't need anything to highlight, just ctrl click it a bit below the center dot.

Are you using the free version of live2d? It has a lot of limits, and this tutorial is not going to be completable without the pro version 🙏 I strongly suggest getting their pro version trial

u completely skipped putting the parts into the warp deformers. seems like u just skipped that part completely and went into the next step and suddenly they are there.

Selecting the neck and neck tattoo beforehand at 2:56 already puts them in the warp deformer created afterwards, hope that helps
